Meet the Business Owner

Karin S.

Business Owner

Karin met her husband in high school in Brussels, Belgium. His first job out of graduate school brought them back to the US (specifically Southern California) in the late 1970s. They have 2 children, both of which live in the area and help day to day operations at the shop.

Karin has a masters degree in exhibition design/​museum studies. Her professional career has been with non-​profit arts organizations, such as the Orange County Museum of Art and Arts Orange County. She also served on non-​profit boards and as an arts commissioner at the John Wayne Airport and the City of Dana Point.

Karin loves to meet people– both tourists and locals alike. The shop gives her an outlet to the community, and she loves to focus on efforts to give back wherever possible.
