History
Established in 1957.
San Clemente Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Manclark. It was one of the first (if not the first) veterinary office in San Clemente. Through the years it has served marine mammals and wildlife as well as local pets.
The hospital was purchased by Dr. John Agostini in 1991. Dr Agostini is the former chief of staff of South Orange County’s Animal Urgent Care.
Meet the Business Owner
John A.
Business Owner
John was born and raised in San Francisco. His early love for animals lead him to seek a career in veterinary medicine at an early age. He attended undergratuate college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (where he met his wife Jennifer who is from San Clemente), and recieved his doctorate degree in veterinary medicine from UC Davis in 1984.
After graduation, John was admitted into an intensive surgical and critical care training program at Sacramento Animal Medical Group. His interest in this specialty brought him to southern California in 1986 when he became chief of staff of the South Orange County Animal Urgent Care Canter in Mission Viejo. He remained in this position until purchasing San Clemente Veterinary Hospital in 1991.
John has 4 chidren and is married to Jennifer. The family is active in outdoor sports including surfing, windsurfing, motocross racing, horseback riding, and cycling. His current hobbies include vocal and guitar as well as beer brewing and gardening.
