Twenty years ago, we had $ 5,000.00, some pots and pans and a garage catering business. We saw an article in the paper advertising a kitchen available in an Antique Mall in Whittier. The only catch was we needed to serve food to the guests coming into the mall. We had just developed a special marinade for sun dried tomatoes and had created a delicious new soup — I suggested that the soup was so good it should have a restaurant named after it and the Sundried Tomato Café and Catering Company was born. Using only the freshest quality ingredients we created eclectic dishes, some familiar, but everything had a twist. Today our restaurants are much larger than the first little Café, in Whittier, so I decided that Sundried Tomato American Bistro & Catering is more fitting. We are eating much differently than we used to and our restaurants reflect that. We look forward to sharing our New American Cuisine with you at one of our restaurants or at your next catered event.
