Please learn from my experience and don’t go to see Dr. Levine. I can’t say enough bad things. First, he gave me a night guard that did nothing but chip my front tooth. Then he convinced me to get Invisalign to correct a tooth which I later found would have been better off left alone. The Invisalign was supposed to be done within one year and it is now 3 and a half years later and I am having to go to another dentist to have it corrected and finished. When trying to switch it took weeks because he would not return my phone calls. I am now trying to get some of my money back and he is flat out refusing. Sally, his last office manager/receptionist told us we over paid by $ 80 for another visit. We called to get this reimbursed and his new office manager and receptionist says there is no record and won’t reimburse us our money! Dr. Levine was rarely in the office and never seemed to know what was going on with my teeth. The majority of the time I saw one of his assistants, and every time Dr. Levine came in, he had to be updated on the entire case as if I was a new patient. I truly feel he is out for the money and does not care for his patients.

So I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple of years. What can I say, I had fallen behind. I decided to go get a cleaning, and this was one of the closest dentists to my home. The Good: Now my experience was generally bad, but I will say their office is very clean and quite nice, even if it is in a rather run down shopping center. The Bad: Now I have good teeth. Every dentist I have been too has said that. I mean EVERY dentist. I got lucky as a kid and lived in a place with fluoridated water and my parents were very good about getting me to the dentist. I was 32 only had one cavity my entire live and that was due to sealants that had been put in my teeth when I was 12 to protect them from decay. I was lucky in the fact that I still have most of them and it has kept my teeth in good shape. In addition, I floss every day of the week. During the cleaning, the dental assistant spent 20 minutes trying to sell me on Invisalign. She kept saying my bite was really bad and I needed to have it fixed. Oh… and I should bleach my teeth. Now after my cleaning they told me I had four cavities. Two I will give them… they could actually show them to me, but the other two I doubted. I wanted to trust the dentist so I told him to fill them. After they were done, my bite was all messed up. They tried to fix it and couldn’t. I decided to wait until my mouth wasn’t numb and see if I was still having the problem. When I got home, I ate lunch and flossed. The dental floss kept catching on parts of the filling on one of my molars. By this time my mouth was not numb, so I went back and told them. They spent 20 minutes trying to get my bite right. A year later, it still feels a little funny, but they got close. Oh. and they told me I was imagining the stuff my floss was catching on, even though after they were through trying to fix the fillings, it was gone. As I was walking out the door, the dentist told me my teeth were horribly decayed and were in really bad shape. I gave him a cock-eyed look and said that I had never been told that by any other dentist. He said they were and that I ought to just head off my future dental problems by removing the sealants in my teeth and letting him fill in all of my molars. It was at that point, after letting them put holes in my teeth and with a funky bite… that I knew this guy was full of it. To sum it up, I moved and a year later went to a different dentist. This dentist never tried to sell me on Invisalign or teeth bleaching. He looked at my teeth and said they looked great. They were in great shape, lots of bone. My bite was in great shape and my teeth were a healthy color. As long as I continue to floss regularly, he said I will have these bad boys for life. He also stated the sealants were something I should keep(and replaced a missing one) because they have protected me teeth. When I told him what the other dentist had to say, he laughed and said, «Sounds like he was just trying to make money, that is really common. Your teeth are great.» Avoid these guys. They are unethical.
