Aaron and Jess were amazing to work with. Aaron was recommended to us through a family friend. We were planning an out of state wedding so he met with us once prior to the wedding and communicated with us via email. Our photos turned out amazing and we can’t help but share them with everyone! We got married at Balboa Park and were unfamiliar with the area. Aaron and Jess knew all of the best spots to capture our wedding day perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better photography team. We would recommend them to all of our family and friends!

I did not know the first thing about picking a photographer for my wedding, but having searched the internet for photographers who have photographed at my venue (Orfila Winery), I concluded that I really enjoyed Aaron’s style. Upon meeting Aaron, any doubts I had about hiring the first photographer I interviewed went away. He was very professional and explained all of the different wedding packages that he offered so that we were able to pick exactly what was in our price range without having to skimp on quality. We hired him and signed a contract the same day! Aaron’s packages even included engagement pictures which I did not consider doing in the beginning but I am glad that we did because now we have a great set of amazing photos and a great memory.
Being someone that is terrible at posing for pictures and taking direction, I really appreciated Aaron’s patience. Moreover, since we had already done an engagement session with Aaron, my now husband and I felt very comfortable taking pictures on the day of our wedding. It was one less thing to worry about because we knew we were in Aaron’s capable hands. I also wanted to mention that Aaron brought an assistant to both of our sessions which I did not expect but ended up great and what was even greater was that he did not charge us anything in addition to our package rate.
On a final but really important note, Aaron was very responsive to all of my emails which was amazingly refreshing and helped avoid any potential bridezilla moments on my end :) I highly recommend Aaron and would hire him again to take more pictures in the future.

Aaron did a terrific job on a quick turn around shoot for us. He was responsive, accommodating and and brought a brilliant artistic eye to the work.

I have to say that we were tough customers. Before our wedding we asked Aaron to modify our contract before we signed it, wanted a custom package, and afterwards had an unusual request for some of the pictures he took. He handled these oddities really professionally. His photography was fantastic. Honestly, we can’t figure out which pictures we want to have framed because there are so many frame-​worth choices. Good problem to have, right? Also, his prices were really great. I’d use Aaron again for sure.

I’ve used Aaron on a number of occasions, and hand out his business card freely to my friends and family. Many of my friends have also used Aaron for their family photos, wedding photos, headshots, etc. And we are all very happy with his work.
Aaron is easy to work with, attentive, generous, and very creative. He also does his homework before he meets with you. Meaning, he will scout out the location you want for your photos, find the best spots, and lead you through them during the shoot. His mind and eyes are constantly working, and the results are always beautiful photographs that somehow speak to the location and capture your unique personalities and interests.
I look forward to the next occasion that would warrant me hiring him.

I chose Aaron Huniu Photography to capture our civil ceremony this year, and I am so glad I did. He took the most amazing and timeless photographs, and my friends and family rave about them. We used Aaron as our wedding photographer in May 2013 and do not regret it! He is simply amazing.
I looked through several photographer’s websites and was discouraged at the generic shots, so posed and not much creativity. Then, while talking with a reference for our caterer, we were told about Aaron. I was so excited after seeing his photo blog and just LOVED his artistic pictures and creative style. His prices are also very reasonable because he owns the company so you don’t end up paying any overhead for a larger company and their contracted photographers.
He was incredibly easy to work with, responsive to our many questions, very professional, and we got a link to our full wedding ablum within a few weeks of our wedding. We absolutely love our wedding album and now have more amazing photos around our house than we know what to do with! Nice problem to have! He sends out a link that you can share with family/​friends, and also sends you the original files so you have them forever.
We didn’t do an engagement shoot and met him for the first time on our wedding day, and everything turned out great. I highly recommend using him for your wedding! You won’t be disappointed!

Aaron is amazing. I was nervous about wedding photography because these pictures are going to be how we remember the day for years to come, so I just wanted them to capture the beauty of the day. When we went to view the pictures a couple weeks after the wedding, the slideshow he showed us made me cry happy tears all over again! I just clicked through the online gallery and am just enamored with how much I LOVE them ALL! I’m going right back to him when it’s time for a baby shoot :) He arrived at the bridal suite for getting ready shots right on time, dressed to impress, and was a true professional the whole day. You can’t go wrong with Aaron!

My husband and I chose Aaron for our wedding and engagement photos. He is amazing! I had researched 40+ San Diego-​based photographers, then narrowed it down with my now-​husband and I scheduled about 8 interviews in one day. Aaron shot my daughter’s bat mitzvah and did a stellar job. I would (and have) happily recommended him to friends & family. He is professional, reasonably priced, soft spoken and talented at shooting just the right shots. He really shines with his candids and outdoor shots. He also did a session with my daughter a few weeks before the bat mitzvah at the beach and they are some of my all time favorite photos.

My husband and I used Aaron’s services for our wedding and engagement shoot. We were both beyond pleased with him. My fiancé and I chose Aaron because of his work and professionalism – and a Wedding Channel deal just sealed the deal for us. My fiancé and I were not interested in doing an engagement photo session. However, we were very glad that we did as we took photos at the university where we met, and we got to know Aaron a bit as our wedding photographer and vice versa. I was initially uncomfortable in front of the camera, but Aaron made us feel comfortable and made the whole experience more enjoyable. We were very happy with how the engagement photos turned out.
For our wedding, we hired Aaron and a second shooter since we did not have a videographer. Aaron contacted me ahead of time indicating that he would be coming with a second shooter as well as an assistant (with no additional cost to us). Aaron and the second shooter Mandy photographed the whole wedding extremely well and highlighted the venue (The Darlington House) so beautifully. Aaron processed the photos from our wedding in less than a week, and we were simply elated when we saw them. Our wedding photos turned out amazing, beyond our imagination. Overall, we would highly recommend Aaron as he is professional and reliable, and a fantastic photographer.

My Wife and i used Aaron for our September beach wedding and Im left speechless. He did an amazing job. He was professional, captured all the key shots and also worked quickly when performing the post ceremony family/​wedding party and Bride/​Groom pics so that we could get to the reception in a timely manner. He knew how to use the light, what angles to shoot from and was alot of fun when directing us where to pose. He was also great at capturing candid photos and lots of guest shots throughout the evening We have received many compliments from all of our guest about his pics once they were posted online. I was hesitant about what to expect because I got a 50% off deal on a $ 3000 package from a bridal discount site but I was deperate because my original wedding photographer flaked. Aaron proved to be very reliable, professional, prompt, and responsive. Most importantly, he did not mind my neurotic mannerisms when it came to being very detailed on how I wanted the album to look. I threw 100 changes at him and he made every one of them until I was 100% satisfied with the product. Not only did I get an amazing deal, he was very quick in putting together the album which is a nightmare for many brides. It was shipped to me as a beautifully finished product within 30 days after I got back from my honeymoon. He got some really great shots of our day and would definitely use him again for future photoshoots.

Our experience with Aaron was second to none. As old friends, we got back in touch with him during a recent visit to CA. The location was perfect, the kids had fun, and we had a good time all while capturing the essence of life today. The uniqueness of his work, the creativity of the shots and easement of the entire shoot was great. I would highly recommend Aaron for any photo shoot needed!

Aaron Huniu just recently did a photo-​shoot for me. I am a singer/​songwriter and he took amazing live performance shots. The angles and lighting are beautiful.
