ACG has done some nice work on my car and always been very helpful. Jacob has always been very helpful. I’ve gone there twice asking for help and he has always had great customer service in helping me figure out what is the right thing to do with my car.

Came here recently to get my autoteknic paddle shifters installed for my gtr. They got it done super fast and professionally with very reasonable pricing.

I had a great experience working with Sean at ACG. My 2009 GTR had a P0842 transmission error code, which is pretty rare and not a lot of people know what to do. ShepTrans rebuilt my transmission and Sean was able to work with Shep to diagnose the problem (faulty Sensor A), get it replaced and my car working again. I appreciate how Sean didn’t take advantage of my situation of being relatively powerless make decisions about my car. I had to trust him 100% to make the right recommendations that were in my best interest. I feel like he did this and saved me a ton of time and money. I really appreciate the honesty and integrity Sean showed. He also had a few other recommendations for my car while it was down there, which ended up being things I had wanted, but didn’t know who to ask or talk to about. Thank you Sean and ACG!

Never go to this place they will screw your car up James thinks he’s Gods gift to tuning but he put a turbo tune on a n/​a 370z then blamed it on my mods then treated me like shit when I would bring it back because of cel lights saying I was running to rich it’s not turbo charged idiot the guy is just rude not returning calls not answering the phone saying he’s not there I even replaced o2 sensors because he said they were bad on a new car and the car wasn’t running rich I gave him the benefit of the doubt and kept bringing it back because my uprev license was with them already it took nearly a month to install my diff which was a 4 hour job here’s the list of excuses James had a baby James wife broke her knee cap there’s a car in the way of the dyno they can’t move oh and the other guy is flying back from Dubai and can’t tune it my car came back out of gas from joy rides with 3 new dents on it and a tear in the door I took it to a different shop had it retuned the diff redone its night and day difference in my cars performance gained a lot more power way better gas mileage no ck engine lights either amazing what happens when you put a n/​a tune instead of a turbo tune on the 370z he could of damaged my engine I was screwed out of thousands of dollars by these idiots had my car gone for a month was talked down to and rudely by that little punk James who couldn’t tune a chevett right but acts like a new 370 is a piece of shit car and he only does super cars well there are plenty of those guys with big builds just as pissed as I am I mean James drives a old ass Acura suv his shop has no ac it’s hot as hell in there there mechanics look like thugs there’s some old ass dog in there that jumps on you stinking up your cloths a bunch of little punks in the parking lot unprofessional all around but he treats you like shit I don’t get it if your Gods gift to tuning you’d be able to afford ac I’m pretty sure first I’d learn the differance between N/​A and turbo small claims here I come avoid this shop at all cost

From simple maintenance to huge builds. My gtr started as a simple stock Gtr then full bolt on e85. But the power bug bit after experiencing my first ½ mile event. With only 5 days till the next event I asked the shop if it was possible to do a full motor build and install aftermarket turbos. They made it happen and ran my car without any issues at the event. All within the same year my car is now a 1400hp monster that i drive everyday with no issues. If you follow their advice with your build and not cheap out the outcome becomes exactly what you want. If I ever had a question or issue it would quickly get resolved all I had to do was say something. I will continue bring my vehicles to ACG and my next power level goal is 2000hp this year.
From GTRs to Rolls Royce Ghost even to the simple Honda Civic ACG does it all!

I had my Jeep’s front windows tinted here and they did a great job. Real quality work, timely, and Sean is very friendly. I had them match the front percentage to the back windows, however, I read somewhere that it might be a good idea to get the front windows 5% darker than the back ones, since the factory standard back windows have a slightly different ‘tone’ and the light coming through the front windshield already makes the front windows appear slightly lighter. As it is though, the windows look good but you can see a subtle difference if you are looking for it. I will definitely be going back to ACG for future work.

Bought some wheels from Tal and he installed em for me at the shop! These guys have awesome customer service and have tons of high end cars in the shop. Would definitely trust bringing my car back for maintenance. They all went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the wheels. Thanks to sean too for giving me some led’s in my headlights for my gtr, all really solid guys. Will be back for another set of wheels soon!

Great work done by these guys on my 2014 is 250. Rs r down springs and takeda intake. If the owner of the shop or manager reads this I hope next time they are a lil more accurate on the time they give u for the work to b done. But overall very happy with their work :)

This is not one of the best… this is THE BEST shop in Southern California! I have taken multiple cars there and have NEVER been disappointed. Their pricing is extremely fair and they always exceed my expectations. Wether it’s a SRT, BMW, Mercedes, GT-​R or Lamborghini… this shop takes care of it all.

These guys are idiots. I gave them the benefit of the doubt soooo many times. Leaving a rag in my shock tower, not tightening the lugs on my wheels, but yesterday we found a tool they left right next to the downpipes they installed on M5 last fall. Unbelievable. If anyone suggests ACG as a shop to go to, avoid. You go in there and it feels like the movie Boiler Room.

This shop exceeded my expectations. The staff is very kind and honest. I went far beyond my 2 hour quote but was only charged what they quoted me. No shop does that these days. I will be a returning customer and recommend this shop to anyone looking at modding their car.

I was very cautious as to where I was going to have my E63 AMG customized. I’m a freak for perfection. I looked for the top facilities in San Diego, and these guys came up in the top 2. After meeting the principals of both as well as going to their shop, i chose ACG.
These guys know what their doing and are fair and honest. They had Ferrari’s Benz’s and other exotic cars that they were working on. I feel really comfortable taking my E63 AMG here as you will taking your care here.

Been taking my cars here for the past 3 years and never have I ever been disappointed. Open, honest and friendly. The whole staff is knowledgeable on all aspects of the automotive industry. Beyond that their facility is state of the art, organized and clean. I’ve had my 458 Italia, GTR and most recently Wrangler modded there and they continue to impress. I learned about ACG through some performance sites and went to them for some tuning on my car. Tal was great to work with and provided great options and recommendations. Their staff are experts and I was glad to learn that that my car was taken care of by a Mercedes trained technician. They provided great customer service and even took care of an exhaust fitment issue at no cost to me. I really felt as if they valued my business even though my mods were mild compared with the exotics they had in the shop. Their shop was very impressive and organized. They also have a Mustang dyno on site. I will definitely be coming down to ACG for all my tuning needs!

I dont usually write reviews on Unilocal but i wanted to share my experience with ACG automotive with other guys like me who are looking for a reliable place that will take care of their car as if it was their own, i had experienced other auto shoppes in the past where service was lacking, not at ACG, James and Tal are great to work with, they answered all my questions (and those are never ending) i was doing a very large build on my car that kept getting bigger as time went by, i felt very comfortable with adding stuff as we went on, James and Tal kept me informed of the progress as it went along, always steering me in the right direction, they both recommended new ideas to improve things as they progressed, they made me feel comfortable and confident as if they are working on their own car. if you are looking for a reliable shop to work on that beloved car of yours you are in the right place.
highly recommended shop, would i come back? HEll yes.
