During my graduate school years at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, I focused primarily on Japanese acupuncture and pediatric acupuncture. After graduating in 2008 with my Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine I continued to work in the salon industry for a few years as a massage therapist and an acupuncturist. I worked at two separate day spas and expanded my knowledge on dermatology, cosmetics and our largest organ the skin. The beauty of using acupuncture to support the rejuvenation and healing of the skin is that the beauty is not only skin deep. Instead, the beauty stems from the inner aspect of ourselves and our bodies. It comes from a place of health and well-​being. It comes from a place commonly referred to in Chinese medicine as the «Shen» which is the spirit.
