Absolutely unacceptable! We’re suppose to be here yesterday, never showed up… Supposed to be here today… Now going to be here between 7−8pm! Took time off work! Pissed! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!

RIP OFF! RUDE! NO CONSCIENCE! EXPENSIVE! Worst ever experience. My AC went out last Sunday and my landlord was kind enough to get someone out that day. I was so relieved due to health issues. I never thought to check out Unilocal.Not one review over one star.
He spent two minutes looking at the outside unit, then removed the filter from the intake. He said I was using the wrong filter, but he came back with the same filter I was using. He said I needed to change it ever two weeks due to pets. I changed it every month and there wasn’t a single pet hair in the filter or the intake area.
I asked him where he got his filter so I could get the same brand, he said Home Depot, since there are several in the area, I asked him which one, he yelled back ‘home depot’ so loud that my room mate could hear him behind her closed door, with the TV on. He refused to answer. Judging by the time he was gone to get one, he couldn’t have gone to any of the home depots around me. He said he had to get rid of the ice, it was melted and he spent two minutes splashing water all over the hallway.
For less than 40 minutes of work he charged $ 360.00.

If there was a negative rating I’d give it the most negative one possible but since the rating system is positive 1 thru 5, I can only go as low as 1 star. First of all, I should’ve checked Unilocal before making the mistake but LG listed them as one of only 2 service dealers in my area. And of course they were readily available because everybody else must’ve read up on them. Long story short — I got charged by the Russian guy, or wherever he’s from, $ 140 for about 3 minute’s work. When I got a return call from another service dealer after the Russian guy left, I was explaining to him what happened and before I could even finish the story to tell him who it was he asked me, «Was it a Russian guy?». I highly recommend staying away from these folks. There’s good reason why all the ratings I see in Unilocal are the worst that can be given.

Very expensive, repair failed after one week; my tenant called them and organized the repair and they were readily available, but I wish she had asked me to check Unilocal first. I do not recommend this company.

I Do not recommend this business. Don’t be misled by their ««affordable service». I’m late posting this, my bid was $ 550 for changing out a part on control panel on my stove. When I asked how much their hourly rate was, Russian tech unable to state the price. I ended paying $ 45 dollars for the $ 550 estimate that took him 10 min to write up. I ordered the part on line via Sears and my husband & I did it ourselves in 1,5 hours. Zero stars for this business.

Like all the reviews state, this company is HORRIBLE… i have LG fridge. I called to get my ice machine fixed… $ 550. I paid for it. A day later it stopped making ice. He told me another $ 450 for a new ice maker. I said that was unacceptable. I would have never paid the initial $ 550 if this was to fix it for 1 day. I could buy a brand new fridge for what STEVE (russian guy) wanted to charge me. This company has horrible technicians. They don’t know what they are doing and they are a TOTAL rip off… DO NOT USE. UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE MONEY… SERIOUSLY INCOMPETENT.

Silly me, I didn’t look at Unilocal when I hired them. In all fairness, they did promptly fix my problem. The unhappiness is they ripped me off!!! The same repair that they charged me $ 340.00 for, could be done by their competitors for $ 210.00. They refused to adjust their price. I almost NEVER write reviews, but this company needs a spanking!!!

Once again the low rating is right on your money! Which they are very HAPPY to take from you. This Company is a RIPE OFF. I too called LG and was referred to this company. As everyone else’s experience with them Very Rude customer service from both technician and Receptionist. First call freezer wasn’t working we were still under warranty. He replace the ice maker and charged us $ 500. We paid it. 3 months later the freezer stop working again. Called LG and once again they referred this company. The technician stated I needed 4 parts that would cost us $ 850. Thats when the red flags went up for me. I was outraged! We decided to purchase a new refrigerator. Before it was delivered I decided to call LG and complain. LG apologized and sent an «LG technician» who came out and fix my refrigerator for $ 250. After they left I researched the parts and realized I probably didn’t even need a new ice maker to begin with. Since then Ive had other issue, My ice maker that I paid $ 500. When I called LG customer service they told me I shouldn’t of paid more then $ 98 for a new ice maker under warranty. The LG tech came out replaced my ice maker Surprise, Ice maker ASA place in my nearly new LG was an old model. I figured that out when the LG tech unknowing asked if the ice maker came with this model. I asked why and he said it was odd that a new LG would use an old model ice maker. Long story short. Each time I need service LG still tries to refer me to ASA. Even after complaint after complaint LG receives from their customers. I love my LG refrigerator so I will keep it But, when service is needed I will make sure to request an «LG technician» I have to wait a week for an appointment sometime But worth the wait. I have been trying to get my money back from ASA but Ive been getting the run around for 3mos now.

You really have to watch these guys. They charged us $ 450 to charge frig with refrigerant and clean coils… about 20 minutes of work. since the job was less than a hour, I asked what their hourly rate was… Service tech said they have no hourly rates. (in other words they make it up as they go along) Way Way overpriced and would not budge on price. a real rip off.

How are these people in business??? If I could give them a zero I would. They are incompetent and inconsiderate with no business acumen. In addition, they repaired my dishwasher twice with no resolution. The third time they were suppose to repair the problem they never showed up. Unfortunately, I had little choice because they were sent by LG. LG– if these are the kind of authorized dealers who work for you I will never buy an LG product again!!!

Awful awful company! I sure wish I could give no stars. They take your money, promise one thing, never follow-​up, then say it wasn’t their fault. The technician was rude, spent less than 5 minutes looking at the problem, didn’t listen when I explained what happened, then filed a fraudulent report with our warranty company so that they would deny the claim. When i called the service company back to speak with a supervisor, i got the person who answered the phone who said she was the manager, who obviously was a broken record of broken english, and didn’t listen to a word I said. They have absolutely horrible customer service. NEVER HIRE THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!

My washer started to leak and I called this company. The repair man told me that gasket had a hole and needed to be replaced. The web site showed ASA does not charge per hour, and that ASA lists prices for all major jobs with parts and labor charges clearly outlined. The repair man charged me $ 360 to replace the gasket. He told me that labor charge was $ 120. At the time, I didn’t know how much a new gasket cost. After he left. I called Whirlpool and asked them about the gasket. Whirlpool said a new whirlpool gasket cost $ 127 plus tax. Then I contacted ASA and asked for a breakdown of charges ($ 360). After 3 emails, they told me that ASA’s minimum labor charge is $ 120 but for different jobs labor will be different. For front loader Whirlpool washer door gasket replacement our price $ 360: labor — $ 160, part– $ 185.20, tax — $ 14.80. tech gave you the estimate before the job and estimate was sighed. I will never use this company again!

0 Stars: My refrigerator is out of warranty. I used the
and BBB validation for this company to feel assured of knowledgeable service. I made an appt with Affordable Service Appliances, Inc. for a cosmetic issue. The plastic tightly wrapped protection on the upper stainless steel freezer door started to peel off & was unsightly. I am handicapped with muscular dystrophy & without strength to pull it off completely without leaving residual. At the time of the appt ASA informed me of a $ 45 service fee to be deducted from any repair. I agreed to that. They never mentioned an hourly minimum. On 1÷3÷14 a repairman came promptly. He said it was easy for him to pull the plastic off but if I wanted him to do it, it would start at a minimum of an additional $ 125 an hour. I told him that I was informed of the $ 45 to be deducted from work & at $ 125/​hr this would take less than 15 minutes which would encompass the $ 45. He refused & said «$ 45 plus $ 125». I did pay the $ 45 as I had agreed to but threw him out. This company is deceptive. I wrote to LG to complain that they should remove ASA from their authorized list & also to the BBB since they are an accredited company. I think ASA simply rides around all day making the $ 45 service fee & if you are ignorant enough to pay more they will gladly take your money.

All the 1 star reviews are spot on. I only chose this compay because LG referred them as authorized LG repair for our refrigerator. I went to their website and most of the links are broken which I always find as a warning sign. I went ahead and scheduled with them anyway. When I called for the appt, the lady who answered the phone sounded as if I woke her up. The service technician that showed up was just as rude as other customers indicated and was not helpful at all. $ 45 later, he could not service our refrigerator because he said they don’t do extended warrantys. We don’t have an extended warranty, just the parts warranty. Dear LG, pick another authorized technician in our area, these people are useless.

I was referred to this company by a friend’s husband (he had never used them himself). Beware. This company seems shady. First off, the repair man was rude and condescending. I paid over $ 400 for them to «fix» my walk-​in freezer. The repair man said the timer needed to be replaced, he «replaced» it with a used non-​commercial timer that burned out in less than a day. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well as calling my credit card company to reverse the charges. One should always investigate repair companies before shelling out hundreds of dollars on «new» parts. I sure wish I would have researched this before making such an expensive error.

If I could give a «0» star rating, I would.
This company is a scam. They charge you $ 45 to come out and investigate, which is probably the mid-​to-​average for a repair company to take a look at the issue; however, when they get there they estimate a ridiculous price to fix the broken part. They estimated 5x the amount for the part which needed repair in my appliance and I could only imagine that the amount to actually work on my appliance was also exaggerated. He also informed us that one of the parts in our appliance was bad when it actually wasn’t.
When I paid the service guy, he pulled out a big stack of invoices which I could only assume were all the other folks like me who were suckered to calling them out for a brief look-​see.
Service guys visit took less than 15 – 20 minutes… so imagine the money they make throughout the day visiting homes and quoting ridiculous amounts only not to get hired.

Everything the previous 2 reviewers have said is spot on. Had this thief come out to fix my parent’s LG fridge. He had absolutely no idea what he was talking about, offered to fix it for some outrageous amount of money (over $ 500 for a part that ended up costing $ 20 and 2 minutes of work) and insulted my parents. My parents just paid him the stupid fee to come out and never want to see this idiot ever again.
