Fast and friendly service. I brought in my vacuum because the suction strength seemed as if it was clogged. Turned out that the belt needed to be replaced and the container needed cleaning. It took only 10 mins of service and my vacuum was working like brand new!

October 21, 2013 I went to All About Vacuums and sadly to say the business was GONE! A note on the door directed customers to Ebby’s Vacuum in North Park at the corner of Texas and El Cajon Bl.

I have a Riccar vacuum that was all clogged full of crap and there was dust and stuff flying all over the place. The place I originally bought it from in PB went belly up a few months ago, so I desperately needed a new go-​to place for my beloved carpet-​cleaning device.
After a quick search, I found All About Vacuums here on Unilocalsville and I made a beeline to Morena Blvd.
Long story short, these guys did a GREAT job. Got everything unclogged plus did an overall service and tuneup — all within a few days and at a very reasonable price. I’m a fan! Be sure to check for discount coupons on their website.

I was out the door with a repair on the spot in less than the time it took me to drive there. And I only live 8 blocks away!

This place has always been a great resource for me when I have had vacuum problems. They have good prices and a knowlegable staff. They also carry lots of different kinds of new vacuums. Just remember to bring in the old part so you get the right one.

I can’t complain. It was near to us, they were neat, clean, hospitable, and had what we needed, some replacement bags for my son’s Panasonic vacuum. Not something you can just pick up at the local grocery store.
Based on my first impression, I would patronize them for repairs too.

Craig was great when I needed my Hoover Steam Vacuum repaired. Not only did he repair it promptly and professionally, but he also swapped out the almost-​burned out motor for a used motor that he had available free of charge!!! Our steam vac was also cleaned up and it looks and works as good as new now. Thanks Craig!

Nothing, nothing, nothing can replace personalized customer service! I did extensive research online for a new vacuum, but after all my research I was more confused than ever. The moment I walked in the door, I KNEW I had come to the right place. I learned more about vacuum cleaners, suction, bag less, vacuums with bags, uprights, canisters … etc. Thank you Rick for gently leading me in the right direction. There was no pressure to make a sale, only a lot of great conversation, and I walked out with a new vacuum that I WANTED to purchase.

My vacuum died at the same time our baby decides to start crawling and right before the in-​laws were coming to visit — perfect timing as always! I took it into All About Vacuums because they had such great reviews on Unilocal.The man who helped me was Rick. I just really wanted a free estimate because I was afraid that it was going to be pretty spendy to get it fixed and didn’t want to dump a ton of money into our old vacuum. Rick was so great! He took it apart, identified the problem and had it all fixed and back together in under 20 min. Lately it seems that people don’t really know how to treat customers, but he really did. He was so helpful, informative and kind. Even carried the vacuum out to the car for me since I had the baby along for the adventure. I will be going back for my future vacuum needs. They even sell vacuums there. Thanks Rick!

Just when I was thinking things couldn’t get worse. My vacuum tuckered out. I thought I had to replace my vacuum and I not getting income at the moment, I thought I’d be stuck trying to scrape money in buying a new vacuum. Went to these guys took care of things and it’s back in it’s like new shape!

I just called Steve the owner for the second time in a year. I was greeted with enthusiasm like I was his biggest customer. This is not the case as last time I was there, he GAVE me a part because it was not available so he took it off a vacuum he had for sale. It is not too often someone will do a kind act such as this for someone they don’t even know.

The same person has been working there for over 20 years. He now owns it. He was always fair and always did a good job with vacuums I brought him for repair.
I thought he was out of business (cause hoover was closing the store) so I went to another place that made me drop off and pick up my big heavy vacuum for a few days. Then they charged lots of money for just changing the belt.
So this time I searched and saw «All About Vacuums on Morena Blvd» and headed over there with my messed up vacuum. I was thrilled to see it was the same guy! He had it fixed in minutes. He replaced both belts and cleaned the the roller and bearings, and found I had a switch turned on wrong, and he did all that for a very small charge. My vacuum is like new!!!
I love this place, and am so glad he is still open for business!

I came to All about Vacuums after my Hoover broke and I was treated awful by Ebey’s in North Park. Edith was working and she was so helpful and nice. She had the part I needed in the store and fixed it on the spot in 5 minutes at no charge. It was covered under the warranty. The best experience and such friendly service. Buy from this great couple not online!

Supported this local business the other day with some of my hard-​earned money.
I have bought two vacuums from here and each shopping experience was quality and so was the product. The first was a Hoover Tempo and the second a Simplicity Symmetry.
Rick Gross has a wealth of knowledge in this niche industry. My hat goes off to him for standing tall in this era of cheaply-​made, disposable everything.

I have Hoover shampooers. I was taking them to a repair place in Chula Vista, but they seem to keep breaking. I took one to All About Vaccums and the owner told me that it appeared that my Dyson was not picking up dirt as it should as the shampooer was extremely dirty with dog hair. He informed me that the Dyson should be serviced every three years. I left the Hoover shampooer and it was ready in three days. The Dyson is on the way to his shop this afternoon and when that is ready the other Hoover shampooer will be going to be repaired. I really believe that the Chula Vista shop was using used parts and charging Hoover for new parts; All About Vacuums stated that if he had used parts to put in a machine, he always gave his customer the option and would never charge the manufacturer for used parts under a warranty. I felt good about leaving my machine there and will be interested to see if the repair lasts longer then the warranty period for his repairs and am most excited to see if the Dyson picks up dirt better then before the repairs, the owner stated that it would take three days for the repairs. I waited three months to get a dirty water tank for the hoover shampooer one time from the Chula Vista shop.

After watching my vacuum go from ok suction to no suction, I decided it needed service. My GRANDMOTHER recommended this place! They were curteous, helpful, informative and FAST. They predicted a 3 day turn-​around and my vacuum was ready in 2! When I picked it up, they gave me tips on taking better care of the vacuum — including teaching me how to change my own belts. I highly recommend them — and they are a LOCAL business!!!

Had a water filter break in my fridge, resulting in ~10 gallons of water emptying into my kitchen and carpeted hallway, so I needed a carpet cleaner (to suck up the water) ASAP. Picked out a model on line (a Hoover) and called All About Vacuums as I’d rather give the business to a small shop than a big-​box store. They didn’t have the one in stock I wanted, but had a similar model at the same price and that had a 2 yr warranty instead of 1 yr.
I called and later stopped in and one was already assembled as a display model, so I didn’t have to deal with all the packaging and assembly, and Rick (the owner) gave me the rundown of how to fill, use, and empty the cleaner, as this was my first time using or buying one.
Their Web site does need a list of products (currently says «coming soon»); doesn’t have to be a list of actual parts and models, but even a list of brands that they sell and carry parts for. It does have a lot of good info about vacuum maintenance and the like, which is nice.
