Angela Yvonne is an Acupuncturist and Herbalist with several years of clinical experience. Her expertise is in pain management, injury recovery, hormone balance and prenatal care. She has practiced in the San Diego area since 2008.

Angela Yvonne is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, certified by the California Board of Acupuncture. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in child development and family studies at Point Loma Nazarene University and then went on to complete her Holistic Health Practitioner hours and Master’s degree in Acupuncture at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Angela specializes in pain management, helping patients overcome back pain, sciatica, headaches and other chronic and acute pain conditions. Angela also works with women during pregnancy, to alleviate discomfort and assist with common issues such as breech babies, sleep issues and back pain.

I was new to acupuncture and Angela made it very easy. She listened to my needs and she was able to answer all of my questions. She was very gentle and she made sure that I was comfortable with the process. She also followed up with me by phone/​email after my appointments. She communicates promptly.

I received acupuncture treatment from Angela during my pregnancy and it was wonderful! She can help relieve morning sickness, heartburn, back pain, stress and many other common conditions that arise during pregnancy. I was blown away at how good I felt during my entire pregnancy thanks to Angela’s treatment. We’ve all heard that acupuncture can help increase fertility but it’s also one of the best things you can do for yourself and your baby while your pregnant.

Where do I even begin? I’ve been going to Angela for acupuncture for the last 5+ years for anything from stress, fatigue, digestion issues, back pain etc. You name it and she can work wonders on your body. I honestly don’t know what it is that seems to make me feel like a million bucks, but she keeps me on a complete high for an entire week after seeing her. From her personable, warm, caring and gentle nature her method/​practice of acupuncture is the most effective I’ve ever been to. I’ve seen a handful of other practitioners over the years and though they were nice, I never left feeling any better; at all! She specializes in fertility issues but again, is good at a whole slew of things. I even sent my boyfriend to her numerous times to help with shoulder/​elbow pain from a past surgery; he also swears by her.
Her office is easy to get to in Sorrento Valley, right off 805 and she’s easy to book an appointment with. The front desk girls were very helpful as well. Just an overall good experience every time I see her.

I always look forward to my acupuncture treatments with Angela because I know I’m going to walk out of her office feeling great! She has treated me for everything from hormonal imbalances to back/​neck pain to foot/​heel pain and literally all my issues have improved. She is so approachable and friendly and she makes you feel comfortable right away. She listens carefully to what ails you and then creates a treatment plan that works for you, whether it’s needles or Chinese herbs or cupping, or in my case all of the above! I highly recommend Angela for all of your health and wellness needs.

I have avoided acupuncture for years despite numerous recommnedations to try it. I have a HUGE fear of needles. I had tried numerous ways to treat low back pain and nothing seemed to be working. I was referred to Angela by a few people and finally got up the nerve to schedule a consultation. I arrived and was greated with a comfy massage chair and a selection of yummy teas while I completed a health questionairre. Angela was incredilbly warm and very easy to talk to. She spent a lot of time going over my lengthy health history and addressed many areas that could be treated. I was still quite anxious about the needles and Angela was very preceptive and assuaged my fears. She continually checked in before each placement to make sure I was okay. As promised, I didn’t feel the needle.
The true reason why I am writing is that I was blown away with Angela’s follow up. I received a call the next morning to see how I was feeling. I was a bit achy but she explained it is part of the iniital process. A few days later I recieved a hand written thank you card.
Needless to say, I will be going back for regular treatment.

I was very skeptical heading into my first session of acupuncture; as I have had multiple massages and chiropractic appointments I didn’t think I really needed acupuncture. I was referred to Angela at 37 weeks of my first pregnancy because my baby was breech. Facing a guaranteed c-​section I was anxious to try anything. I was impressed with everything about my first experience. She is a warm hearted person and her professionalism and experience were evident despite the fact she looks so young and cute. Visiting her office is a treat in itself from her friendly receptionist, and delicious selection of tea, to the private and comforting treatment rooms with soothing music, plenty of pillows and even individual foot warmers for those who get chilly.
We had absolute success with our first treatment. The baby was extremely responsive during the session and we were both relaxed and generally at peace for the remainder of the day. A few days later the OB confirmed that the baby had indeed turned. I liked that Angela sent me home with a custom herbal blend and moxibustion sticks so I could actively participate in maintaining the progress we had made.
I have since continued my sessions with Angela and she never fails to listen to my needs and respond with kindness, sincerity and effective treatments that keep me coming back. Oh, and she gives killer foot massages a mega bonus!

I play football for a local Semi pro team and I went to Angela after an injury to my knee. What I thought was a sprain turned out to be an ACL Tear. Now that I am recovered and done with initial rehab, I fully intend to go to Angela to promote additional comfort and healing in my knee.

I have gone to Angela for several years for massage, and I also recently went to her for my first ever acupuncture treatment at Natural Health Acupunture. I was a little nervous at first (I’m not a big fan of needles), but Angela put me completely at ease by educating me about acupuncture and explaining the treatment process. Come to find out, acupuncture is not painful at all, but actually relaxing and very healing for your body! I want to also note that Angela’s office and treatment rooms are pristine clean and very comforting with calming scents and music. I have referred all my friends to her, and especially encouraged those who have had trouble with conceiving, since she specializes in fertility acupuncture treatments.
