Mr. Bauman grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Mentor High School in 1968 and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969. Radioman Bauman received an Honorable Discharge and used his G.I. Bill to attend the University of Akron and competed on the Debate Team. He graduated in 1978 with a B.A. in Speech Communication. Mr. Bauman received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University in 1981 and his Masters of Law Degree in Taxation from the University of San Diego Graduate Tax Program in 1999. Mr. Bauman has been in practice in San Diego, California since 1982 and is a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Bauman is a trained and credentialed California mediator.
