The best customer service!!! So helpful and friendly on the phone and in person I love these girls!

I love the girls here except one. They are amazing and always helpful ! I’ve been regularly coming here for years. & when they don’t have what I need in stock they gladly order it or even pick it up from another store to ensure timely customer service. Luckily this location is in a very short walking distance from my home but if it weren’t I’d make the trip !

I’m from Texas, I go Armstrong McCall regularly in Houston. Never ever have I had the quality of service I had yesterday at the Hilcrest location. I didn’t get the names of the employees. I originally dropped in to see if they would have my Texas license information (wishful, I realize). They couldn’t access it, but the woman was polite and didn’t make me feel stupid for asking. So I went home got my license and went back. I work at an aveda salon so I don’t know other color lines well. I explained to the girl I had an interview and I needed my hair to be freshened and she recommended me the Kendra Demi permanent color. I put it on and wow, shines beautifully! Thanks girls, I got the job!

Every time I go in here I feel so good! Janna is probably my favorite go to gal! Every question I have, she has the answers! Organized store, friendly staff, close to everything. This place and its workers are the best!

I love this store. The people Heidi and Leonica Etc. are the best! Very helpful and knowledgeable. The store is clean and well stocked! Very convenient in the heart of Hillcrest. I recommend.

The ladies that work here wonderful! Heidi, the manager, is so great and helpful about ordering extra of the products I need. Leonica, Jannah and Hannah are all so pleasant and helpful. They all are! The store is clean and in a really convenient area. I’m so happy I work so close because it’s the Armstrong McCall I prefer to go to in San Diego.

I honestly don’t care for Armstrong that much. I am a nail tech and this place no matter the location has a sad nail stock. This one in particular barely has anything. I got at least part of what I needed, the most important part but, it by far can not be a one stop shop for me. I’m used to big beautiful stores that supply my products back home in Michigan and I can order from them but, it takes about a week to get in. Wish I could have a place like that in Armstrong but, it just seems half done to me. I do like that they carry AG hair products cuz I use those so that’s refreshing to have access to once I moved. Other than that I am luke warm about Armstrong.

About two years ago I had a major problem with the other beauty supply company here in the area, so I gave Armstrong McCall a try.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and awesome. Leonica and Heidi couldn’t be more helpful. When they are low on a product, they always offer to special order. When a big sale is coming, they ask if I want product set aside for me.
This kind of thoughtful service has confirmed that I will be a dedicated customer of theirs for years to come.

One star for being greeted when entering and for it’s location but I cannot find it in my heart to give additional stars for the way staff makes me feel. I try to avoid this store if possible. I find it irritating to get asked more than once in less than 5 minutes if there is something they can help me. When I say, no thank you to the employee beside you, it truly means no. Going back to my first encounter at this store years ago, I was told it’s for licensed only. The sign indicates this and I am fully aware. I belong and have an account! This attitude kept me away but the convenience urged me to stop by for an item. Shopping at other locations has always been 100% genuine friendliness but I cannot say the same for this store. When checking out I was asked for my name… I provided. I was asked for my middle initial… I provided. She asked me for my ID but I did not have it (it was in car) and asked if I knew the number. Seriously? LOL the witch hunt is over because I actually DO know my number… so I provided. :) Telling me, it’s because she has never rung me up, doesn’t make this better because she HAS been at the counter when I’ve checked out before. At this point I’m feeling hot as a flat iron but keeping cool like a professional would. A better way to verify identity would be to verify address (as other stores do) or even asking when your professional license is due for renewal. The tension and interrogation is undesired. Please keep personal trust issues away from the business especially if the professional licensee instinct radar is not up to par.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They always let you know about sales and new products. The only thing is I wish they had a bigger selection. The manager who I see often in this store is very kind and welcoming.

this place is great! if i ever have a problem they always help me out… i purchased something that broke with in a month of having it, and they gave me a brand new one, no questions asked! that’s how customer service should be… they also have such a wide variety. i also ordered something they didnt have in the store. and they called me when it arrived! thanks :)

this place is great for my refills of haircolor. especially because i can walk here from my home. it’s only available for licensed professionals. they have tons of different lines such as goldwell, paul mitchell, redken, joico, kms etc… hairdressers, nail techs, estheticians here it is.
