Art By Adelaide is a collection of artistic expressions by the talented Adelaide. This includes visual art, performance art, art modeling and more. Adelaide creates paintings and pen/​ink artwork as well as 3-​D creations made from wood or other material. As a performance artist, Adelaide performs a wide variety of themed shows, many including other entertainers as well. These include stilt walking, sword balancing, snake charming, wing dancing, fire, hula hoop dance, and live art shows. Adelaide is also available for painting faces at kids parties and teaching drum, dance and art classes to all age groups.

History

Established in 2005.

After co-​creating The Shimmy Sisters, a professional Middle Eastern Dance company, Adelaide soon realized that this could not contain all that she has to offer as an artist in MANY forms. Using her belly dance career as a platform to reach fans and supporters she began to unveil her talents as a more dynamic performer and visual artist as well. Audiences quickly realized that Adelaide had much more to offer than once expected. Adelaide continued to spread further in an artistic adventure and life style not met by many. Thus, Art By Adelaide became a necessary and essential element to further her career.

Adelaide was born and raised in El Paso, Texas by parents who, being artists themselves grounded her to a truly innovative mindset. Her father illustrated the value of creativity and self-​motivation through his transformation from a struggling artist to a locally famous painter. Adelaide’s mother demonstrated the significance of physical expression through her art as a beautiful dancer.

Adelaide constantly cultivates her mind, body and spirit to enhance her practice and performances. Yoga, painting, poetry, music and meditation are an integrated part of her creative lifestyle. She studies psychology and world medicine in support of her desire to contribute to a higher quality of living for herself and others. As a visual artist, Adelaide recognizes the impact that inspiration and imagination can have on one’s worldview. Adelaide aspires to use her limitless expressions to enhance her life into an art form of spontaneity and balance.
