Business Owner

Lana has been painting since she was a child. She been enrolled into Art and Design High School in 1999 to begin her art journey and continued to Architectural and Design University in 2002. After her fourth year of art education, Lana moved to San Diego, CA. Seeking better opportunities and freedom to express herself Lana decided to expand her creative side, grow her art skills by trying new types of art and immersing herself into a different world — body painting. She found a group of body painters in San Diego and they did art collaborations two to three times a month. During her first year with the group, they had a body art photo exhibit at San Diego Museum of Photographic Arts. After that Lana Chromium started her solo projects and commissions, opened Art by Lana Chromium services. In 2013 Lana competed in North American Bodypainting Championship in Atlanta «Living Art America ‘Bodies as a Work of Art” and took 4th place in her category.

this was for my halloween costume which she did an amazing body paint job on my upper body. i had tons of compliments thanks to Lana. She was very accommodating to all my specific request and it took about 3 hours to complete from my neck to my waist. Very down to earth and fun to talk to. i dont know a lot about body paint prices but to me it was sort of expensive but it was worth it. i definitely recommend her highly gifted skills

5 stars are not enough to rate Art by Lana. Lana is super talented, her art pieces are breathtaking! She designed my logo and a lot of advertising materials for my campaigns — always above and beyond expectations. Professional, fast, reliable, amazing — totally recommend!

I first booked Lana for comic con 2014, blindly as i was flying out from Australia. She then blew me away with an amazing Captain america upper body paint work.
This year i upped the Ante with a more complex Drax and OMG she blew myself and everyone away with her magnificent work. I ended up in the LA Weekley’s «Best of comic con» section, thousands of photos, videos etc from the Con and as a result met some amazing people. I give Lana a conservative 200⁄10 for her personality and artistic genius: D… Definitely will be seeing the lovely lady in 2016 !!!

Lana is amazing! She did a birthday party for us and painted animals on 6 of us. she is fast and very creative. I was a zebra and looked so cool!

We booked Lana to do body art for a birthday party (adults). She painted each of the guests as a type of animal requested by the guest. It took about 3 hours for her to do 6 peoples’ faces, neck and shoulders. Here’s our assessment of her:
1. She’s got real talent. Her eye for detail and color matching was really impressive (this from a bunch of people who have a good eye for artistic talent). And she took direction well from the guests in order to accommodate their preferences and was creative in the way she made it work for them.
2. She is very professional. She showed up right on time and was responsive to our email inquiries.
3. She is a real artist. Her work is expensive and, frankly, it should be. She’s not a stencil and airbrush cookie-​cutter kind of body painter. She is the kind of painter you want to use when you want something very artistic and notable.
4. Her reputation in the industry is excellent. We learned about her, in part, from professional photographers who say that she’s one of the best in the San Diego market. That went a long way to our deciding to use her.
Finally, the biggest surprise of the evening was how diligent and engaging she was. She worked, non-​stop, even though we offered her food and drink (it was a dinner event) but she was totally delightful, fun and likable. All of our guests loved her.

Contact Lana to paint my head for Star Wars celebrations. Lana responded quickly to emails and was enthusiastic to do the design I needed. She met me at my hotel in Anaheim and it took around an hour to get my head painted (probably less, I wasn’t watching the clock). Lana was able to paint exactly what I needed and it lasted the whole day at the con. If I am ever in need of painting again and we are in the same area I won’t hesitate to contact her.

I am fascinated by Lana’s art. I ordered a nice art piece for home décor; everything was ready in less than a week. I was very surprised with fast service.
Plus, I booked Lana for different photoshoots several times: Halloween, Day of the Dead, Christmas and my Birthday ! Her rates are reasonable and the job is 10+! She is very quick and responsive, I usually use texts to book Lana for projects.

My husband was looking for a face painter online when he came across Lana’s website. Her work looked awesome and very detailed so he decided to drive from OC to San Diego to get his face painted. He described what he wanted and the colors and she got creative with a design of a sugar skull /​day of the dead look.
She was responsive when I made the appointment, and she worked quickly… it took her exactly an hour to paint his whole face. Try her out and buy the Unilocal voucher to save a few bucks. Totally legit! :)
