I met Dr. Ali Farahanchi for the first time last Friday. I was so happy and grateful that he squeezed me in immediately as soon as I called to report that I woke up with a stiff neck. This was the 2^nd time that this has ever happened to me. The last time was almost 2 years ago and I had seen a different chiropractor, who I thought did a great job, but now I can clearly see why Dr. Farahanchi is even better! I think he’s amazing!
1. He explained what was wrong and tried to let me feel for myself what he was feeling (my neck vertebrae that were out of alignment, which made my neck straight vs. having the natural slight curvature, my muscle spasms near my neck region, etc.)
2. He prepared me for what to expect. He’d explain what adjustments he’d make and why they were important and beneficial, and he explained how I would feel after the appointment.
3. His philosophy is to help heal you as quickly as possible. He told me that I’d need to seem him 1 more time — no more than 2. I’ve seen several chiropractors in the past and they always seem to want you to come in to see them more often… as regularly as possible to follow-​up on your original complaint and then for regular adjustments. I personally prefer Dr. Farahanchi’s philosophy of healing you so that you don’t need to see him because a healthy body should be able to heal well and stay in good form unless you do something or something happens to throw it off. From what I can remember, I feel like the last one had me come in like 5 – 7 times. I think I was 100% by the 3^rd or 4^th visit, but with Dr. Farahanchi, I am so happy and relieved to report that I feel almost 100% today (3^rd day, which was faster than the last time), 1 day before our scheduled follow-​up.
4. It was easy to schedule the first appointment with him and follow-​up. Even though he’s really busy, he always try to prioritize you and accommodate your needs and schedule. He was really easy going about me needing to bring my toddler to the appointment.
5. He has the most wonderful attitude — he greets and treats you like an old friend. Always professional, a great listener, and so cheerful and upbeat. probably the best bed side manners I’ve ever seen in a very experienced medical professional.
I met him at his El Cajon Blvd. office for the first visit and will be seeing him tomorrow for the follow-​up at his Hillcrest office: 803 Washington St. (619) 298‑2342, which is closer to me. I can’t imagine the pain I’d still be in if he hadn’t squeezed me into his schedule on Friday. Many other chiropractors I had frantically called that day could not see me until much later or did not work directly with insurance (you had to submit the claim yourself). Dr. Farahanchi and his staff made my visit really smooth and easy.
