I’ve eaten in the building daily for two years. Food options at the courthouse include the Asian Bistro. At times the food is «0k» mostly because it’s filling but not fresh, or hot. I actually stopped eating at Asian Bistro because of the poor quality and«greasy» taste to the food. Subway or La Cocina Loco proved to be better choices. Due to demand from juries and people working in the building, these places survive but if forced to compete, Asian Bistro would be a dismal failure. The serving staff is nice but the kitchen staff is rude, so rude in fact they chastised someone for taking a packet of salt! Really! I suppose there are reasons this place remains open but my guess is it’s only due to the volume generated by the courts. Some fresh choices would be great however that’s not likely to happen as this location is a gold mine for the three established food services. I will NEVER eat at Asian Bistro and will encourage EVERYONE I know to avoid it at all cost. There are other choices walking distance away and I’ll go there rather than eat here. If you really taste the food, you’ll find it greasy, old and disgusting. Do your self a favor and AVOID the Asian Bistro. :(

Jury Duty!!! Checked and they let us out for a break. There is a food court in the same building with a Mexican joint, subway, and Asian bistro. I had my eye on subway breakfast but the line was too long and the girl in the back was working slow so I peeked at the me u at Asian bistro. Quite a hefty menu!!! I wanted something small and fast. I got the 2 egg breakfast for 6 bucks. Not filling but tasted like a normal 2 egg you can get anywhere.

Steak sandwich and side salad. $ 9 and change, after tax. Steak was cooked nicely; not overcooked, of which I’m always afraid at a food court. I was offered cheese and avocado, but should have just taken the avocado alone. The cheese turned out to be a slice of American, which I could take or leave. Everything else was nice and fresh, with cucumbers and carrots and diced tomatoes in the salad. Will definitely be back.

Great hidden spot for salads, get any of the specials and you wont regret it, it might seem weird ordering a salad from a chinese fast food but you will be amazed at how delicious they are, i work about 7 blocks away in downtown and I walk to get my lunch here at least 3 times a week i only get the specials though or salads and the soups! Everyone here is really nice!

Excellent restaurant. This restaurant is located in the Hall of Justice downtown at the courthouse. Don’t eat anywhere else. The owner will make anything you ask. They have the best tuna sandwiches and puts subway to shame. The blackened chicken apple salad is absolutely delicious. Asian Bistro also catered a private party for us. All guests said the food was delicious and was very reasonably priced. The owner makes spectacular appetizers which are beautifully plated. I highly recommend this company. Truly fantastic!

I work downtown and I eat at the Asian Bistro several times a week. The food is very fresh, the portions are generous and tasty, and the prices are reasonable. They offer a broad selection of fresh prepared meals, many of which rotate on a daily basis. Could be anything from salads, to steak, fresh grilled chicken, pasta, curries, seafood, soups and sandwiches, you name it They’re located on the ground floor of the Hall of justice. You do not actually have to enter through the security checkpoint to visit the restaurant. I often see long lines at the Subway sandwich shop which is located right next to them, while the lines are usually not very long at Asian Bistro. I’ve always thought this was kind of funny, because the bistro has much better food. Five star rated and highly recommended!

Good affordable Asian food at the courthouse. Does not accept AmEx. Great patio overlooking the street. Friendly staff.

This review is for their breakfast… I come down to this food court area in the Courthouse about 1x a week during breakfast hours. Choices are Subway, Mexican and Asian Bistro. Subway is a pass… the Mexican place has changed up its breakfast menu, a downgrade. Asian Bistro is a good choice as they have gotten better for breakfast options and choices. Glad to see this as there’s always a lot of patrons, as well they always get the jurors on their first break of the day around 830a or so. Many breakfast options, all cooked to order. Very reasonable also. Make sure you try the hash Browns. There’s a other breakfast options in the area that are better, but you really can’t go wrong with this place.

Amazing food, unexpectedly good for being in the courthouse cafeteria. Order«something special» and you’ll get a wonderful off — menu culinary delight. I also can’t get enough of the cookies. He now sells pastries that are super tasty.

Def have to agree with some of these comments the chinese food is ok but the special orders are VERYGOOD! I was so surprised to order a salmon salad and it was so delicious and for the price, it cant even be beaten it had really good flavor i got the one that was blackened over the salad and that hit the spot without putting a hole in my wallet will have to come back again!!!

The chef knows his stuff! I work in the building and have the good fortune of being able to order a variety of menu items. I can not say enough good things about the salmon, talapia and salads — all you would expect to get in a fancy restaurant paying double or triple the amount. In addition to Asian food, you can order some of the best Mexican food such as chicken mole and enchiladas. I ordered the tortilla soup the other day and loved every drop. He also makes great spaghetti and lagsagna. The pricing is incorrect it is not $ 11 to $ 30 for lunch — You can get a great lunch for around $ 7 or $ 8. If you just want a menu item off the buffet — under $ 5. The chef really puts his whole heart and sole into his craft and those who work in the HOJ get to reap the rewards. I am routinely asked by co-workers when I bring take out to my floor…“where did that come from”. Asian Bistro will not disapoint.

This is not for the Chinese take out but the cooks in the back for special orders like the salmon and rice! Unexpectedly good! I was SO surprised. I ordered the salmon and rice(made to order from the cooks in the back) because everything else in the front(the Chinese food) looked kind of disgusting and dried out… like it’s been sitting there for too long. And this is right before the lunch rush. The salmon was actually cooked right. It had a nice crunch to it(no skin, but still that good crunch to tell you that they cooked it right) and it wasn’t dry at all! It actually tasted like how good my mom used to make it. The seasoning(salf) was JUST right. It didn’t even needed more salt or pepper. One thing that was lacking was the fried rice, of course they used the rice from the Chinese part of the fast food and that was dry. For about $ 8ish, it wasn’t bad! Portions were pretty generous coming from a small fast food court place in the courthouse. Rule of thumb: get something made to order instead of their stagnant Chinese food!

Low quality Chinese buffet style food. It wasn’t fresh. No flavor. I’m not coming back.

Final day of jury service last week, and I wanted to try Asian Bistro’s breakfast special — a toasted ham, egg, and cheese sandwich with house potatoes for $ 2.65. It’s not hard to screw up a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich; fortunately, Asian Bistro’s was on point. The potatoes weren’t anything special, though. Too bad their lunch options just don’t look appetizing — when I came back during lunchtime, nothing was appealing. Shame, I wanted to try their samosas(which they didn’t have available that morning).

One of the few great deals downtown. Stuck in jury duty, but need a quick cheap breakfast? This place is steps away from the grungy jury lounge and will make a reasonable 2 egg omelet for $ 3.50. They also have croissant and English muffin breakfast sandwiches for less than $ 3.50, if inlets aren’t your thing.

I love this place. It has Chinese and Indian food as well as an assortment of other healthy selections such as: tilapia or salmon(sautéed, blackened or teriyaki), fruit with cottage cheese, fruit smoothies, beet salads, pear salads, blackened chicken salad, roasted chicken, beef tenderloin salad… I could go on. If you want something with more calories, they have pasta, hot dogs, French fries, you name it. They also have a selection of daily soups. This is my go-to place if I forget my lunch and I want something healthy. And when I want to indulge, the Chinese and Indian hits the spot! They also have breakfast all day which is awesome. The staff is courteous and the service is quick!!!

This place is pretty standard Thai/Asian food in both price and taste. I got my standard Red Curry/Chicken. It was good, not great. I like it because it is open late, we ate after 11pm.

Rice was bland and can tell its been sitting all day. Cury tasted like brown and water. Grilled chicken was soggy. Shows what happens when theres no competition
