What a joke. They gave us absolutely no acknowledgement when we walked through the door. Finally I had to walk up to someone and ask how long it would be. We waited 45 mins (as told) and eventually left because they told us it’d be awhile longer. Give some ounce of respect towards your potential customers.

I came here today and got a normal mani/​pedi by nana. She was super nice/​courteous and I felt really comfortable during my visit there. A lot of manicurists (that I’ve had) will be a bit dishonest and try to force you to get things you don’t really want, but nana was super honest about what gel nails/​acrylics do to people’s nails and I really appreciated her honesty over the need to «sell» if that makes sense. She didn’t rush me on my color choices and wasn’t too pushy either.
In regards to some of the bad reviews about gel nails – don’t mind this review – I’m not a gel mani pedi person**
I came in after work around 5:45 — 6:00 and the place wasn’t busy at all (that includes parking lot too).
The normal pricing for a manicure and pedicure combo (listed as 60minutes) is $ 28 – which is a pretty sweet deal!
I really enjoyed this place… And I think I’ve found my new mani pedi place :)

Asie nails was on my back up list for when my go-​to shop/​nail lady is not available and I finally got a chance to check it out recently. Their shop is in the shopping center where Nijiya market and Café Hue are located. It’s usually chock-​full of terrible parkers so be aware of who you park next to. Like everyone says to, I made an appointment with Dena. I’ve seen some of her work and it has always been gorgeous and quite intricate on the artwork/​designs. I was actually going in for a simple set so I thought that would be easy peasy for her right? I chose my colors and showed her the shape that I wanted and kind of just let her do her thing. To break it down simply,
Pros:
— Super close to my house, but very central in San Diego overall
— Dena is super friendly and listens to what you want
— Super secure set, they had not come loose at all in over 2 weeks until I had them removed
— Painted perfectly & pretty glitter gradient
Cons:
— She did not put the acrylic powder all the way to the edge of my nails, therefore they looked like they were grown out the moment they were done
— They were a little thicker than I’m used to and sanded down in a way that it was thicker closer to my cuticles and thinner at the tips
— The shape was rounder than I had wanted them to be (I showed her a picture)
I don’t think it’s fair for me to hold those cons against her because I’m sure she would have fixed them had she not been in a hurry that night for her daughters open house. If I ever go to a new nail place, I usually just show them what I’d like done and wait to see how well they execute it. All in all, I would go back if I ever wanted any extremely detailed artwork done (I believe it starts at $ 3 per designed nail) since I know she’s great at it. As for a simple set, I’ll probably pass because it starts at a $ 40 base price for a set with any shape other than square.

My nails are a disater! Bumpy, uneven, weird cut! I’m never coming here again. I gave it two stars due to they took off my previous gel nicely.

How I’ve never written a review for Dena is beyond me! It’s probably b/​c I am just getting my nails done with serious art and I don’t want to ruin them! She is so talented. This is my second time coming and I am very happy with both times. The first time I came it was on a whim and I follow them on Instagram so I knew they did designs but I wanted something simple but different so I went with a coffin shape. They are a little bit more expensive than I would like but it is good quality and I don’t have to deal with the rudeness of Mira Mesa or the ratchecness of South East. I like the shop they have a million colors and the shop is small but nice. Will be coming back and finding a regular nail tech.

I have been going to Dena since June and she is excellent! I never get designs, but I’m sure she is amazing, judging by her instagram page. I always go with the coffin shape and its always perfect! Make sure if you want your cuticles cleaned up, you let her know because it is an extra $ 5. My nails always hold up for a good 3 weeks, I never get chips or anything in them. Make sure to text Dena a few days before you want to go in because she tends to get booked out for a few days. I only make appointments in the afternoons, usually around 6 pm so I never have to wait more than 5 – 10 min.
Also, keep in mind there is an extra $ 1 charge to use a credit card.

I came here for the first time last month with a girlfriend from work and will not be back. They were understaffed (and there were only 4 of us clients there), the inside of the salon is not finished (2×4 wood beams dividing the manicure stations), and I didn’t even get the full services that I wanted. We made an appointment hours in advance to make sure that they would be prepared for two manicures and two pedicures, and I only got a pedicure because of time constraints. I wouldn’t have been too upset if the pedicure wasn’t awful, but it was. The chairs are not spa, massage chairs. It’s a big bench that you sit on (nothing dividing you from the other people there), and it’s not comfortable. As for the pedicure, it was short, lackluster and left me disappointed. My polish chipped within 24 hours. It was an all-​around sub-​par experience.

Dena is amazing. Ridiculously talented and can do any design even if it’s 3d, enough said.

I’ve had 1 full set and 5 fill from Dena now. And I have to say I love this place. Everyone is friendly. The place is neat and clean. With the cutest pedi sinks. The price is great for the immaculate work she does. Definitely my new mani/​pedi home base.

cute, clean salon located in a strip mall and family owned by a lovely lady named Dena who is a nail goddess! One thing I loved about this salon was the books of nail pictures in the waiting area to inspire clients what to do on their nails for their appointment or just to entertain while waiting. i called and made an appointment before coming in thankfully, because Dena only takes appointments and is usually quite booked up.
Dena did a wonderful job on my nails, and was sweet enough to use the colored glitter acrylic that I had brought in for a fill. I am not a fan of gel and much prefer colored acrylic but this salon unfortunately does not carry it. I did not get a pedicure, but noticed their oddly set up pedicure station which did not include massage chairs (my favorite part)
I will be returning to Dena in the near future!

Good: This place is very clean. They have immaculate stainless steel sinks for your pedicure. Despite not having massage chairs, the seating was pretty comfortable.
Bad: They accept credit cards, but give you a very disappointed look when you don’t have cash on you. And they charge $ 1 more to use a credit card. They have a huge color selection, but the tones are mainly reds or neutrals — they didn’t have the mint green I was looking for (only two greens available, and they were both dark).
Ugly: I got the «silver» pedi yesterday, and it’s already started chipping. =(My pedicures usually last 3 – 4 weeks.

I got a fill with color gel on Saturday July 11^th. On Monday evening 4 nails had started peeling, and after work on Tuesday I had went in to get them fixed. They happily fixed them free of charge, but I gladly tipped the manicurist anyways. On Wednesday morning the gell started to peel again. I walk in to get them fixed, and I had mentioned that I had NEVER seen any salon buff the nail smooth before applying gel, but she continued to buff them anyways. I told them before I left «I do not have time to come in tomorrow to get them fixed, what happens if they continue to peel?» They laughed and told me that I wont have to come back. Well guess what it is Thursday afternoon and they have not only started peeling but the acrylic has chipped on two nails. I called them to see if they can do anything for me, and she told me she remembers me but does not have time. I requested a refund, and she said she wasn’t going to do that, that I need to come back (for the 4^th time within the week) to get a whole new set, on the day that I had specifically told them that I could not go back to get them fixed. I gave up and said never mind I’ll go somewhere else, she said «Ok bye».
POOR QUALITY. HORRIBLE TECHNIQUE. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Only been here twice. First two times were ok. Third time was a bit annoying because I came in and the manicurist started on my pedicure on my to have another customer walk in and take my place because she had an appointment and the manicurist forgot about it so she had to take care of her first. So I just sat awkwardly for 30 mins with my feet in the water while the one manicurist worked on her other customer first. Why is it so understaffed here? Only 2 people working here at the most. I don’t understand.

I love this salon! It’s clean and the girls don’t talk too much so you don’t feel paranoid if they are talking crap about you!

All I can say, very RUDE OWNER, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, with POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I had a manicure gel done on Sat and after an hour nails started having cracks inside the gel and now 2 days later ALL 10 NAILS gel shattered in pieces!
The owner argued to the fullest with me that she would not return my money back or if she does she would take money off since they did cut some cuticles too (manicure) lol
It got to the point that the owner told me basically accusing me «YOU cracked ur nails on purpose because you are not allowed to have designed nails for your work and you just got your nails done for the weekend and when the weekend was over you came back to take off the gel and get your money back»
So I work in a medical field and I went after work in my scrubs, and she has no right to tell me what I am allowed or what I am not, which for her info I can have designed nails or polish on my nails according to Infection control department in my FIELD!
You must have mental problems to do such a thing, get GEL on your nails and then scrape them off of your nails 2 days later because you work for healthcare!!! I can’t believe she said that !!
And you must really have some brain damage to even say such a thing to your customer who came in and spend $ 52 on a manicure gel plus $ 10 tip to the person. I think you should check on the quality of the products that you use on people.
My mon also had a manicure french gel done the same day as I did and of course 2 days later 2 of her nails chipped! The owner is refusing to give money back or fixing mom’s nail.
I think Carol did a great job and she spend a lot of time fixing my nails but when the quality of your product is poor then it brings down the working quality of your employees also.

My girlfriend Mai recommended DENA, after I seen her beautiful designed nails. I checked Unilocal first to check out the salon and other Unilocalers reviews towards this salon as well as the pictures before making any final decisions of calling, and booking the nail appointment with Dena.
When I first arrived at the salon I was impressed by how modern and cute their salon design was. They have books and books and tons of pictures on soooo many nail designs to choose from — which all designs were from the staff of Asie Salon. The salon itself was very well ventilated, clean, and up to date.
Dena listened to what I wanted, and wow — she truly does not disappoint! Perfectly shaped nails, with a beautiful 3D –flower. This is definitely the place to go if you want any cool, creative designs! It was reasonably priced, not too expensive in my books — but remember the more designs, the more it’ll cost you. But hey, you get what you pay for! Your nails will look fabulous, and I bet everyone’s going to want to know where you got them done from! Dena is amazing!!!

Love this place! Super clean and great customer service. Dena is the only person that can touch my nails. She’s magic and a very sweet funny lady. If you are looking to get something crazy she can do it! If you want simple she can too! She’s one if the best.

I came here for a set of black gel extensions with a matte top coat with red underneath and a red gel pedicure. They had a large selection of regular and gel polish like 3 reds to choose from. They helped me pick a good red to match my new shoes. She let me know that the matte top coat would fade away in about a week and they would be shiny again and didn’t charge me for it. They did a great job and three weeks later my nails still look great. No lifting or chipping. Dena was very fast and friendly but still did a great job on my extensions. She has been doing nails since 1994! She says that most of her clients use gel so she has a lot of experience. It was pricey I think it cost about $ 120 for everything but I think it was definitely worth it considering they look like they’re gonna last a month. I always say you get what you pay for.
