I love Autohaus Munich! First of all for their detailed services and secondly for their kind customer focus. Les and Peter are who I generally work through. When I moved here to SD from Indiana I searched Angie’s list and Unilocal for the best recommendations for service on my 2004 MB SLK230, my 92 E300 and My 2001 VW EuroVan. These guys are always fair, honest and trustworthy. Extremely knowledgable! As I prepare to buy a 2005 MB ML500 I will be letting them check it out before I close the deal. I am fortunate to have found good service in my new city.

Les and his staff are fabulous!!! My entire experience was enjoyable which is difficult to find being a female in her early twenties who knows nothing about cars! I brought a used car here that I intended to buy and they did an entire evaluation (for half of the price of anywhere else I called) and I got more information than I knew what to do with. He was extremely thorough and informed me of what needed to be done now and what would be expected in the future. After buying the car the next day Autohaus Munich put new tires, fixed my window, got a new key, and replaced my emblem before the day was over! Les was extremely informative an made my overall experience a great one! This place is was quick, thorough, and very fair priced. This is definitely my new car repair shop, I will be back:)

Was referred to Autohaus Munich by a friend. Took my Jetta in for a brake job. They opened on time and took my car into the queue without keeping me waiting around unnecessarily. I received a call a few hours later with a quote (I figured the rotors were ready to go, and they were) and I gave the go-​ahead. Picked up my car at the end of the day and it was good to go, price was just as quoted.
Throughout the whole process they were very professional. The work was honest and never did I get the typical shady talk that most mechanics use these days. The price was reasonable. The job could be done for cheaper elsewhere, but the difference for the integrity and specific expertise with the cars they service is well worth it.
Autohaus Munich has earned another repeat customer! I will (inevitably) be back!

Been bringing my car here for a few years… My observation: very expensive, and decreasing quality.
Story: The air conditioning in my car went out, so they ordered and replaced the control module for $ 500 or so. I was ready to go get my car back the next day, and when I called, they told me that the blower needed replacement for another ~$ 500, and it had to be ordered and it would be another day or so because an overvoltage problem «burned out» the blower and the control module. $ 1000 and a few days later, I get the car back. I drive from the shop to my office (about 3 miles) and the AC works… but when I drove home from work a few hours later, the AC stopped working… exhibiting the exact same issues.
I call and tell Les that the car is still broken, and that I have to go out of town for a week, and he tells me that is good, that I should drop it off and they will «…have time to trouble shoot it» while I am gone. Now, I’m wondering what the real problem is since I already purchased $ 1000 worth of new parts and I have the EXACT same problem. In other words, were the parts I purchased the actual problem, or was it just a symptom of the real problem, and did I really need the parts I bought if they weren’t the problem? In addition, I wondered if it was an «overvoltage issue» are the new parts now burned out just like the ones I replaced last week?
I dropped the car off on my way to the airport and never received a call while I was away, and left him a message to call me. I get back on Monday morning, which is when I need my car for work, still having never heard from Autohaus Munich. Of course, the car isn’t fixed and is packed into the back of the garage… and there are new problems and more $. I ask if the original problem was ever fixed and if in fact the parts we replaced actually needed to be replaced. Les said to me «…you don’t even know what you’re talking about, so listen to me…» (full disclosure: actually, I have been a systems engineer for 20 years and understand electro-​mechanical systems and the troubleshooting process very well.) He said that the car needed another part for $ 480 that wouldn’t be in until tomorrow, but didn’t know if the blower and the control module were burned out… so rather than waiting another week or so to get my car back, I had them move all of the cars that were blocking my car and I took it away.
Now I realize that all the nickel and diming over the years might not of been as genuine as I thought it was. It just took this time for me to catch it. I took the car and left, an I am looking for a new independent mech to fix it. As I look back, I wonder what other troubleshooting mistakes were made, and how much mistakes in trouble shooting might have cost me over the years.
Autohaus Munich missed the mark on this one, and lost a customer as a result.

I have been taking my BMW here for a few years now, and I think the service is excellent. Les really cares about each car and each customer, and he’s always helpful and asks lots of questions so he can best diagnose the problem.

These guys are awesome mechanics. Although they will repair any car they are especially experts on German cars. Tomas the Czech guy is a miracle man! My Beemer would now be in a junk yard without his magic hands.

Leszek and his team are awesome! I live 7 hours away and I needed a 3^rd party to do a bumper to bumper check on a Audi I was looking to purchase. These guys did not leave one stone unturned.

Les, the owner is so knowledgeable — you can tell immediately when you call to get a quote. You can tell he’s owned the place for the 20 years as he could talk to you all day about cars, and its obviously his passion. He even drove me to work and picked me up while my car was being serviced. Charged me half of what BMW of SD would’ve charged. If you’re tired of getting hosed by the dealer — Autohaus Munich is the way to go!

Can you say over-​rated? He is a true German w/​true German prices. Unfortunately, the water pump that he replaced went out again after 40k on my Audi A4. Not his fault but the price varied significantly from Autohaus Munich to B&B Auto Repair. He replaced the water pump, timing belt, and thermostat for $ 1500. B&B charged me $ 600 for timing belt and water pump this time around. Last time I checked a thermostat did not cost $ 900 more. I’m not please but I’m more disappointed with myself for not using TP or B&B to perform the repair work like every prior car I’ve owned. Bad referral. All good, my pen will set them straight if not I will be forced to shank (jokes) them with it.

I’ve been taking my 1984 325e (s) here for the majority of the past 22 yrs that I have owned it. When I used to go to the dealer Brecht in Esc. and then the SD BMW in Kearny Mesa (now there’s some rude people!) I seemed to always have to go back 2 wks later because something else happened. Not since I’ve been going to Autohaus Munich. Leszek knows exactly what he’s doing and I know for a fact at least one of his workers is a highly skilled Porsche mechanic. As far as I am concerned that’s the secret to my car lasting for so long and being über dependable. Leszek has even had my car smogged for me and gotten new tires put on, now that is GOOOD service.

I had a very sick car and needed a very honest mechanic. Leszick (owner) was who I needed to look at my car for a straight answer. The other mechanic there couldn’t be more rude but they seem to have their stuff together. They did dirty the inside a bit and were quite busy so they took a while. I do appreciate the honesty though. That seems hard to find in a mechanic. I’d go back but comment on the cleanliness so I don’t get another dirty car back.
