Avid Construction

I hired Avid Construction to remove a large closet space and completely remodel our downstairs bathroom and replace a bathtub with a large shower. Saar was on the job quickly with a quote, a contract which included dates and the times for progress payments which were very reasonable.
Saar was very good to work with and I trusted his judgements and recommendations. When the project date for completion got behind he had a crew work over the weekend to get the project back on track.
We couldn’t be more satisfied with the completed bathroom. If we have another construction job I will hire Avid Construction to do it! Their price was fair and the workmanship was excellent!

We recently hired Avid Construction to convert our seldom used garage to a living space. We started out by getting quotes from multiple companies prior to deciding on going with Avid for the project. We had a budget to stick to but also wanted someone who was going to do quality work.
Not only was our decision made super easy because Avid’s quote was the best price, but we were really excited about the vision the contractor (Eli) had for our project. We could tell from meeting with him that he takes great pride in the work that he does. It was refreshing to see someone who was so passionate about what they do. Based on our general idea of what we wanted the remodel to look like, Eli quickly drew up a plan, offered a quote, and went to work as soon as we signed on.
Throughout the entire 6-​week (ish) project, Eli always listened to what we wanted and gave us final say on everything but importantly wasn’t afraid to chime in if we asked for advice or if he thought something wasn’t going to work well. This was very helpful considering we have no experience in construction or interior design. We bought an older house that needed some TLC to begin with to say the least and so there were inevitably a few snags along the way including unexpected work to the gas and electrical lines. These were not originally included in our contract. However, whenever something came up he always wanted to show us in person what the problem was instead of us having him take his word for it. Not that I could always tell what was wrong by seeing it (lol), but I appreciated that he took the time to show us and explain everything. Just the inevitable when working on such an old house. He was always super responsive during the day (and evenings and weekends for that matter). It was really nice knowing we could always get a hold of him when we needed something.
The one thing I will say is that like in any business transactions, make sure you go over what is and what isn’t included in the contract at the onset. We asked them to do many projects for us in addition to the remodel because of how impressed we were with their customer service and attention to detail. Throughout the numerous projects, a few things I thought they were going to do ended up not being spelled out in the contract. Likely an oversight of mine (since it wasn’t actually in the contract), but the only real critique i could think of. As long as you take care of that (as you should anyway when working with anyone) ahead of time you’ll be fine.
That aside, I will say the work itself is top notch. It was amazing how much they were able to accomplish in such a short time and everything looks amazing! They even swapped out the cheaper materials we requested with better ones when they had some leftovers from another project at no additional charge to us. It ended up saving us a ton of money and everything looks better than expected and ties in with the rest of the house so nicely.
Moral of the story: if you want great work done at a good price with someone who takes a LOT of pride in what they do instead of just getting the job done quickly, go with Avid Construction. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a dishwasher leak that resulted in water damage to our bottom cabinets. We had a company take care of drying etc and Avid construction took care of fixing the drywall behind the cabinets, replacing the shelf under the dishwasher and the toekicks which they did a wonderful job matching I was very pleased with the quote and the job was well done. So happy with Avid construction that I am hiring them to install ceiling lights in our family room, dining room and master bedroom. Saar is professional and attentive and a delight to work with

I enjoyed working with Avid construction They took a small bathroom job (counters sinks and toilets) and gave the job as much attention as a large full remodel. I now have beautiful granite counters and all the work was done in less than 2 days and the price was very reasonable. Thank you Avid.

We were looking for a simple kitchen remodel, but were nervous about the cost, and potentially being taken advantage of, since neither of us had done a remodel before. I can’t recommend Avid Construction highly enough for any level of remodeling or renovation jobs you may be doing. I recently used avid construction to remodel our kitchen, bathroom and a large portion of the living room area in our home and have been delighted with both the process and the results. Saar and Eli are both great ! they kept thier word and did a great job on the repairs to our home, thier crew was polite and woked hard until the job was finished, I’m keeping thier number for any future work and referals to friends and family.

At first I thought the salesman Eli was very good. Until he quoted my husband for tearing a wall down and kitchen remodel at 32 thousand. So we asked how much would it be just to knock down the wall and he said 12 thousand. To me that math did not add up. He promised he would do a good job on the kitchen if we went with him. So we went out and looked at his work. The kitchen he was doing was ok but he brought us to a 5.5 million dollar house. So it didn’t really compare to our smaller home. After we saw the kitchen we still just wanted to do the wall because the work didn’t impress us. He then said well if you would of signed a contract that day he would of done it for 6 thousand, and he began to laugh and looked at me and said I bet you wished your husband would of signed that day. All in all the experience was horrible plus he charged up 150 dollars to tear just the drywall off of our wall and called it a demolition charge what!!! We just paid him to pretty much get out of our lives. If your not rich beware he will try and give you a quote that is outrageous. Plus we found a local guy to do our wall and fix our plumbing for 5 thousand. So really they helped us out. Thank you

I used Avid Construction for a large bathroom remodel when we purchased our house. Saar, the owner, is extremely hands on, professional, timely, trustworthy, clean, polite and takes pride in everything he does. Avid’s workmanship is of utmost quality and after our first experience with Avid, we have continued to use them for all of our other projects (big and small). I highly recommend Avid for all construction needs.

Avid Construction is trustworthy about everything from doing the job right even if it means the owner, Saar, doing it himself, quoting realistic prices, and giving recommendations from the goodness of his heart and not because he wants to try and swindle you. Avid’s staff is clean, polite and I felt completely comfortable leaving the house during the work. After hiring Avid for some home improvement projects, I am now in the market to buy a new house and whenever I find a place I like I call Saar to tour the homes with me to see what remodels would be doable and how much it would cost. I can not express enough positives about our experiences working with Saar (the main man at Avid) and his staff. We have used them for many projects in our home of various sizes and complexities and they have never failed to do the job well, in a timely manner and with extreme professionalism. Avid Construction recently completed a multi-​phase project at the home of a dear friend, Observing the work in progress, I was impressed by the quality of workmanship, the attention to detail and the end result of work that included laying a new wood floor in living room/​dining room; stone floor in the kitchen; repairs to outdoor stucco; painting the entire ranch and installing new baseboards throughout; installing a new shower door, as well as other sundry repairs, some electrical. Saar, the owner, is knowledgeable, very accommodating and fair. His workman was likewise hardworking and pleasant. My friend could not be any happier with the result of Saar’s work. Because of my friend’s poor health, he made an extra effort to go above and beyond. Saar’s prices were fair and I recommend him without reservation.
