Baby’s Away is the largest baby and child supply rental service in the United States. We offer a variety of baby equipment including: full size cribs, play pens, highchairs, car seats, strollers, bouncy seats, baby gates, beach wagons, umbrellas, chairs and more!

Your rental baby equipment is delivered to your destination prior to your arrival and picked up the day of departure. No need to lug around or pay for extra baggage, we can provide all the baby, toddler and children’s equipment necessary to safely enjoy your vacation in the San Diego area. If you are staying in a rental unit, we can work with your rental company or private rental to ensure delivery and pick up.

Established in 1997.

My name is Ann Brickman and I have been operating the San Diego Baby’s Away franchise with my husband Steve since July 1997. We have two beautiful daughters, Bria and Madison, that have been our helpers since they were infants. Our main objective is customer service and satisfaction. We are here to help make traveling with kids as easy as possible!

For the past 16 years I have been the owner of Baby’s Away San Diego franchise. I have a B.A. in Business from the University of Minnesota. I worked for one of the largest Destination Management Companies in San Diego as a Account Manager with many corporate clients.

We are the first Baby Equipment Rental business in San Diego. I pride myself on personal customer service. I realize that San Diego is a very family friendly destination and it is so important that babies have the right equipment when traveling.

We work with many Hotels and Property Management Companies though out San Diego County.

This was our first time using a baby gear service, and I am so grateful that we decided to take the plunge with Baby’s Away San Diego. We couldn’t have been more pleased with both the gear and the service. The crib + mattress were in great shape, and the linens were clean and of good quality. The best part was that it was all set up in our hotel room before our arrival. By giving Ann a few details about our arrival and departure, the set up and removal were completely taken care of. We stayed in a rental home in Mission Bay, the crib that property management left in the garage for us to use was very old and dirty. This is where Ann came in. I called her late in the evening, she was amazing! She delivered and setup a clean crib and sheet for us the next morning. Ann followed up with me to make sure everything was great and then arranged pickup after our departure. I’ll be sure to call her anytime we stay in the San Diego area.

We were referred to Baby’s Away from a vacation rental company in San Diego and had a wonderful experience renting a few items for our grandchildren during Thanksgiving week. The first time we stumbled across Baby’s Away we thought, «Nice! We don’t have to travel with all this baby gear!» and we have kept coming back because the service and the products are both stellar. Honestly, though, I would continue to use them and refer them to others just for the service alone. They go out of their way to coordinate with your property manager or hotel so that everything is delivered and setup before you arrive and picked up after you leave. This is probably the most hassle free service I’ve ever worked with and it makes it so easy. If you have a baby or a toddler, YOU NEED TO CHECK THESE GUYS OUT the next time you want the convenience of not having to cart around all the equipment that goes with them. Great company… made our stay in San Diego much better. Our little guy doesn’t sleep well in a pack and play and doesn’t do well «lap eating» so the crib and high chair made him enjoy his stay! Very easy to deal with and helpful. No issues whatsoever. Crib was in good shape, sheets were also nice and clean. High chair was also clean and worked great. Thank you!

Here’s the deal. Almost every hotel has a crib. They may even have a high chair. But do you really want to risk it? Some crusty outdated crib that gets stored in the garage? I may not be the best parent in the world but for this kind of thing you’d be a fool not to call Ann. Super nice lady. Mom herself. Takes all of your info, and at a very reasonable rate she’ll have everything delivered and set up at the hotel. They have almost everything you have at home. And guess what… She cleans everything herself. Like mom type cleaning. It was at our hotel ready to go. Totally functional. The kid loved it. Saved us from worrying about him sleeping. Just call her. You’ll be a fool not to. Excellent customer service. Thanks Ann.

I found this amazing company less then 24 hours before I was to arrive in San Diego. Ann was amazing. She was so accommodating considering i was to be there the next day and was desperate for a jogging stroller and pack and play. These items were waiting for me at the hotel when we arrived. Not having to carry these items on an airplane was so so great and priceless. I would absolutely absolutely use this company again.

Baby’s Away San Diego did a great job for our vacation on Coronado! The crib we rented was already set up when we arrived and was in perfect condition. The full-size was perfect for our 2 year old daughter. We also had a late checkout from the home we rented, and Baby’s Away accommodated us so that our daughter could still take her afternoon nap before we left. They did a fantastic job, and I would definitely use them again!

We used Baby’s Away during our recent trip to La Jolla. We were flying from Atlanta, so did not want to drag all of the necessary gear for our 20 month old across the country. Baby’s Away was a great option — incredibly easy to work with, reasonable, and reliable. We requested a stroller, hiking pack, crib, and baby monitor. It was all set up at our rental house before we arrived, and they picked everything up after we departed. It was that easy! Would definitely recommend to others.

Even though I submitted my order the same day, they were able to accommodate me and had all the items I needed in stock! The swing had batteries, the wagon was in perfect condition and the toddler air mattress was perfect! My only qualm was having to go to the business to pick up my order but that’s because of the same day order. Even then, they had everything laid out ready to go. I will absolutely rent from them again!

A friend recommended Baby’s Away and I’m so glad she did! I was stressed to the max traveling for the first time with my baby and this service made all the difference. Upon arrival, we were set up with a highchair, bucket of beach toys, towels, pack n play, and an exersaucer. I will highly recommend this service to my friends and use it again! I came across Ann with San Diego Baby’s Away just prior to our vacation and I’m glad we did. After talking with Ann and placing the order, it was perfect arriving at the condo to have the baby crib and highchair already in place.
The crib was up to date with no wear-n-tear, clean, and we had no issues. Same with the highchair; fairly new and in great condition.
Even better; we just left the crib and chair upon checkout and she took care of the rest.
