I’ve been a member of Balboa Park Toastmasters for about a year. The club meets inside the Model Railroad Museum, which is convenient for me, and I always like to have an excuse to visit Balboa Park.
The club has something like four Distinguished Toastmasters. As a novice speaker, it’s nice to have that level of experience to draw on. The members are a pretty diverse group. Everyone is friendly and eager to help.
Since I started attending, I’ve earned my Competent Communicator certificate, and I’m working on becoming a Competent Leader, too. Thanks, Balboa Park Toastmasters!
