Worst bank ever. Lines are ALWAYS 25 people deep and do not move quickly. Personal bankers sit there and watch the line rather than to offer to help with simple transactions like other banks.

AVOID THIS BANK! The worse ever! The lines are longer than the dmv smh. these chicken heads are slOw af. I could’ve made a baby and threw he’s 1^st bday while waiting in linem. lol hire more people u shystee bastards or give the clerks sum strong coffee so they can handle customer faster. #ValenVerg

I hate this Bank of America. It’s in a crappy location that’s difficult to get into because there’s always traffic on El Cajon Blvd. and it’s massively crowded. I’m talking, line to the door crowded. I’ve literally given up and walked out after waiting in the line for ten minutes without it moving a single person. For some reason I think that all the people with weird requests and problems must go to this specific location because it takes forever for the tellers to work with the customers. To top it off, it just seems dingy and cramped inside. No. Just No.

Bank of America, need to be reported to the federal trade commission, I use the app to check my account all the time, I bought gas for $ 6,of my money. And three day latter bank of America put a overdraft on my account. How that happened I did not go over. This is not the first time, they add fee, and other things, and when you call them out on it, they try to make you look crazy. They need to correct there app, that tell me one balance, and if you call them on the phone they tell you another.

I have a ton of time to give a little rant on this sh*t hole called bank of Mexico, errr Bank of America. I personally would never bank here. Minimum of 10 people in line with 3 tellers. Then another 5 bankers standing in back with their d*cks in their hands doing absolutely nothing.
There is a reason I bank with Wells Fargo and my credit unions. I would never! I repeat NEVER bank here.
Funny, as I walked in there was a man speaking Vietnamese to a teller outside the bank’s bullet proof glass. The only word I understood in his heated rant was STUPID… Lol
15 cameras and 14 employes and a 15 min wait…
The teller Irving was nice. That was worth a star. He could probably manage the bank better haha.

Ok so I came to Unilocal with the plan of putting a bad review, but due to recent events I had a change of heart. Saturday I spoke to Jessica an employee at this branch. Jessica was very rude and unhelpful. I asked her for her manager because she was clearly not trying to help me. She told me that her manager could come because he was too busy, and then walked away from me. Today I went in again an got AWESOME personnel. TRUM was such a sweetheart and so helpful! If it wasn’t for her I would haven’t even rated three stars. Advice if you go into this bank DO NOT go with Jessica. She’s HORRIBLE. Also lines are horrendous most of the time…

Ohh and let me add to my previous rant by adding this. If you have a business section that is locked because I’m in there counting thousands of dollars in 20’s 10’s and 5’s don’t let in random people. Believe it or not I actually don’t care about how blow and his withdrawal of 20 bucks to buy McDonald’s down the street. Cause he comes in and starts giving me sex eyes over the mint I have laying in the counter. I’ll say this, if it’s a federal law that I can’t carry a gun into a bank then don’t give me a reason. Cause my money isn’t fdic insured until skellitor (or some other teller) counts it and credits it to my account. So STOP letting non business people into the business only section. Worthless ass retards.

I’m always here to withdrawal, deposit, and get change since I work a couple doors down. Usually long lines and understaffed tellers which I don’t mind. I’ve been a loyal bank account holder here for over 4 years.
Today I told my boyfriend to open a checking account. Only took less than 30 minutes. The banker (Truc) was nice at first then started giving me attitude and arguing back with me when she asked if my boyfriend wanted to apply for their credit card. I told him no and quoted that if I didn’t get accepted than I doubt he would, so he said no to her. She replied saying «Everyone is different». I make more than my boyfriend and have good credit. He has no credit. So why would I tell him to apply correct? I may look young and dumb but I’m a business accounting major. I know almost everything when it comes to credit cards. If he applies and he has no credit of course I’m pretty sure he will get declined and applying for credit cards lower your score! So if I say no, don’t argue with me. My boyfriend listens to me.
It’s an extra $ 15 to purchase a checkbook. Chase gives you a free one if you ask. Wells Fargo you can use your own personalized photo as the image on your debit card. Maybe I shouldn’t have been so quick to tell my boyfriend to open an account here.
The bright side is you get 2 free sample checks, and if you’re a student under 23 you don’t have to pay the $ 12 fee if you don’t have at least $ 1,500 in your account.
The last time I came here a nice Mexican lady who sits at one of the front desks helped me out. All the other personal bankers were busy but next time I’ll take the effort to ask for her.

The ONLY good thing about this bank is Cathy in the business banking section. THIS BANK SUCKS! Long lines, and not enough tellers, especially since when the business banking is closed the lines are the longest. RUDE tellers in business banking when Cathy is out. Too many bankers sitting at desks when they should be greeting and helping to make the line move along. This place is the worst! No wonder they’ve been robbed so many times, they’re probably just angry customers who don’t want to wait in line for service!!! Avoid this bank if at all possible. I would give NO STARS if I could. (But 5 stars for Cathy in business banking)

All I have to say, credit unions ROCK! I closed my account because the call center communicated something different than the branch and kept referring me to each other. Really? I closed my checking account and have not regretted it.

This bank needs better customer service. I’ve been here multiple times with long lines and tellers closing down their stations instead of helping the line move along by assisting customers. If this place wasn’t the nearest boa around, I definitely wouldn’t be coming here.

I’m glad BoA is all over the states so no matter where I travel I won’t get charged for pulling out money with my BoA card at other ATMS cause theres a BoA!
I’ve been banking with BoA for almost a decade, I really enjoy their service except for the negative 35 charges! I don’t get it, sometimes even when I have money coming in from another account I get charged (probably didn’t process yet?)
overall, I love this bank.

I’ll keep focused on the service I received at this branch, rather than whine about banking with BofA.
This location has like 5 people in it at any time during normal business hours. 3 tellers, 1 «desk person» and someone in a nicer suit wandering aimlessly around the building. Since this is the only branch in City Heights or the adjacent areas, they get busy with customers who need human services from their bank.
If you go inside prepare to wait in a long line. If you need «desk services» (sales, inquiries, real service beyond what an ATM could do) prepare to wait a VERY long time.
Ar least the desk area provides chairs to sit and wait for an hour or more…
There are 3 walk up ATM machines on the curbside, and a large parking lot on premises for bank customers, so you’re strongly encouraged to park and use the machines.
Personally? I wouldn’t go to this branch if I *had* to talk to a human. I’d probably call their 800 customer service before actually showing up in this branch…

Read my review of the downtown branch, which I’ve copied below. When $ 1000 went missing from my account on two separate occasions, May of 2008 and February of 2009 for a check that they failed to debit me for, dated NOVEMBER OF 2007!!! The manager of this branch was insulting and unhelpful. My money was finally returned after I invested 8 hours of MY time, pleading my case, when it was THEIR mistake! Unbelievable.

5 stars for this branch only! This branch of Bank of America is great. Never any waiting, very friendly, helpful staff. One of their staff members helped me get $ 1000 back from Bank of America that mysteriously disappeared from my account TWICE! Around May of 2008, I noticed $ 1000 missing from my account. They said it was for a check dated November of 2007 that, by their mistake, they forgot to debit my account for. After hours of frustration and working hard to get to the bottom of this, I accepted the fact that they took money from my account without so much as a courtesy call. SO HERE IS WHERE IT GETS FISHY. In February of 2009, the same thing happened AGAIN! $ 1000 missing from my account with nothing other than «Check 0» for details. When I finally did get to see the check they were referring to, it was completely illegible with the wrong check number handwritten on it. This has to be completely illegal. Not to mention that this was the same check that they dinged me for in May of 2008. After spending around 8 hours begging for my money to be returned to me with absolutely no apology on the banks behalf for their terrible mistake, I finally found a BOA employee who took the time to listen to my story, view my proof and get the money returned to me. I still believe they are thieves and that they take advantage of people who are not as business savvy as I am who may not have had the guts to put up the fight.

Marathon line holding is a shitty pasttime unless you dig watching paint dry or reading any of the «minimalist» garbage conceived of by that «writer» Cormac McCarthy.* And although my daily itinerary is anything but brimming with activity, of the few activities in which I do engage, sitting on hold for 20 minutes listening to voice improvisations of Kenny G’s greatest hits is on the bottom of my priority totem pole (mind you, this barely beats out getting honked at in traffic for poorly operating the ever-​phallic stick shift in my new car).
That being said, the Bank of America-​Dominique dynamic, as demonstrated by the aforementioned example in addition to a slew of others I’ve yet to touch upon, isn’t exactly grand at all times. To be fair, interacting with pseudo humans and enduring intolerably long wait times to speak to alleged humans is standard practice for most, if not all, large banks, however, this fails to alleviate my aggravation. There are some perks about this money sucker:
Face shredding pros:
+24-​hour Online banking: And dummy-​proof to boot!
+Online bill pay/​recurring automatic debit: A friendly middle finger to late payments and fee rapage.
+Keep the change: Grow your savings, one measely penny at a time.
+Bank of America is not Wells Fargo (despite its ties to Merrill Lynch): Does this warrant an explanation?
On the other hand, Bank of America tends to be a snake in the grass when it comes to tacking on arbitrary fees. Case in point:
–If your account is armed with Overdraft Protection, doesn’t it defeat the purpose of having such protection if the bank still charges a «minimal fee» for processing transactions in which overdrafts occur?
–Upon entering the «gainly employed» phase of my life, I applied for my first credit card. I haven’t been late on payments and have been very diligent in keeping a low balance. However, upon reviewing present and past statements (I opted to receive them solely in electronic form to minimize waste), I have found out I’ve been charged $ 45 for the past year for some program called «Credit Protection Plus» that I never authorized. And sadly, upon researching this matter further, I’ve found out I’m not the only one:
In light of all of this, I may be switching to the Bank of Underneath My Mattress. That, or a credit union. Same difference?
