If you are a black person DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I booked this hotel through
and paid in advance for it. When I got to this terrible hotel the charged a $ 100 depoit. The room was terrible and I was scared to sleep in the beds. The lighting was terrible. But worst of all the clerk VANESSA IS RACIST! A white man who ddn’t have a reservation was put in room 318. I came up and she put me in #218. The room was gross and next door to a family with 3 kids. I called Vanessa to tell her I wanted another room. She told me she’s booked up and if I didn’t like it I can get my crap and get out. I told her she was crazy and I wanted my money back. She told me I paid online and would get it back the best I knew how. She was rude. Then she told me she would call the cops on me. This hotel is the worst and racially discriminates. STAY AWAY!

I don’t even want to give this place a star. It looks nothing like its pictures. I would have taken pictures but we just wanted out of there ASAP that we didn’t take pictures. There are so many homeless people around that are loud and want to fight with you when your walking down the street. There is a strip club right across the street, when people come back from there at night you hear everything from there foot steps to talking. There is no insulation in the room and you can hear the traffic and airplanes flying over you like they are 100ft above. It was not a nice stay. I booked it for two night and ended up canceling the second night and booking another hotel to stay at. The tub that they say is deep is really just a regular tub. The rooms are really really small. There is about two feet from the bed to the tv stand. Beds and pillows are uncomfortable. I do not and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Overall condition of the hotel is a 2, but I give it a 3 for no-​frills with necessities. Some rooms were being renovated, but otherwise looked like mediocre work. I arrived at 10:30PM, but the lobby was locked. I was scared they already closed the lobby for the night. How was I going to check in? Well, 10 minutes later, the front desk person returned. He was helping some guests to their room. Poor guy was managing everything by himself and running around sweating. It took some time to check in and out.
We drove to our room and parked right outside. The room lighting was dark, the fridge barely worked, and the face towel was dirty. Good thing I checked and don’t usually use face towels. We could hear the next door room’s TV all night long, but it didn’t disturb our sleep much since we left at 5:15AM for a hike. We missed the free breakfast since we didn’t return til 10AM. We only stayed for a quick night’s sleep, so no big deal. I wouldn’t stay here longer though.

for your own good dnt stay here!!! warning!!! they are creeps!!! and creepy!!! that old man is a spy dont come here they take your deposit and deduct for no reason and they need to be reported i feel like this owner the old guy has cameras in the rooms and watches you its so scary dont trust the smoke detectors or the bathroom vents he watches people shower i call this the bates motel !!! watch out!!!

Awful awful Hotel… Worst than the Super 8 hotel in hotel circle. The beds have mites or bed bugs… My skin has red bumps on my face and back… and that’s after only 1 night stay… Druggies and prostitutes are your neighbors. There is a $ 100 deposit and $ 2 energy usage charge for a dirty room… Don’t do it go somewhere else!!!

Roaches. Need I say more? Yes? Ok, I will! My dad was nice enough to try and book a room for us, and when we got there, we hoped it would be better on the inside than it was on the outside. Nope, it wasn’t. First, the guy at the desk was insisting on a credit card for incidentals. My dad insisted on seeing the room first, which the guy didn’t want to do. Finally he gave in and took my dad to see it (we waited in the car). It was a room all the way in the back, upstairs. My dad said it smelled… bad… like it was a dirty moldy smell. He goes in the bathroom, turns on the lights and there was a cockroach in the bathtub! So he asks for a refund. The guy says he’ll give him another room, swearing it won’t have cockroaches… but we all know– where there’s one, there’s many! So finally he takes my dads name and says the manager will give him a refund the next day. Well, it’s been a month and we’re still waiting! They have our name and number! It would be nice if they were honest and would give back the $ 100+ my dad paid for a dirty room. I leave plenty of honest reviews on Unilocal,hopefully this one will keep innocents away from a dirty rip-​off.

This hotel is decent. We stayed 3 nights for 200 dollars. It was clean buy not maintained well. You could tell some stuff was old. The rooms are small but the bed was comfortable enough to sleep in. There is a strip club across the street but they seem to be everywhere. The walls are thin and u can hear the planes but I slept fine. If u want nicer than u have to pay for it. This is a fine hotel for what u pay.

I had to select a star to post … okay this was literally the worst place we’ve ever stayed in, that’s including motels ! Usually we stay in the hampton inn, the hilton the embassy suites or double tree, I truly feel like we should be refunded 100% if every where wasn’t sold out and it wasn’t my son’s birthday we definitely would not have even stayed here first of all the room we originally went into was supposed to be a non smoking room we walked in and instantly my 3 year old son and I start choking up it strongly smelled like cigarettes and Marijuana. My son and I both have asthma so they switched our room so we get in our new room and their was hair on the sheets, I forgot to take a picture of the towels but they were stained like they weren’t thoroughly cleaned ! The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. My son wanted to take a bath but the bath stopper wouldn’t stay plugged, a few of the plugs in here didn’t work so we told them and they gave us new towels and just apologized for it. MOST of the staff was nice but my family just did not like that we paid good money to stay in a room with all these issues and I hope they resolve them for the next paying guest ! The worst part of all of it is that the entire parking lot was filled up by people who were NOT guest and they were going to the strip club directly across the street, they told us there’s nothing they could do about it. I don’t know why when we check in we give them our license plate number and car description if they have every guests car description from the cameras you can see that groups of people park in the hotel parking spaces and walk across the street to the strip club.

just checked in here, bathroom stinks and got hairs everywhere. looks like it wasn’t cleaned. but what pisses me off was when we found out that they require $ 100 deposit and we can only get it after a few days depends on the bank since we booked online using a debit card. online, we were not notified while booking that they require a deposit! lesson learned. we could have use that money for the sea world and extra expenses. oh well.
blanket and bedsheet got stains! thank God we brought our fleece blanket and towel. i dont want to use their towels and blanket!

This place is disgusting. I walked into the room and was greeted by stains all over the floor, dirt in every crevasse, and razor marks by the sink. Looking at the bed, you can see every spring, but seeing how nasty everything else is I don’t want to even pull back the blanket. I can’t believe we paid money for this room. Will definitely have to get intoxicated to sleep here. As of right now, I’d rather sleep in my car.

They are scammers. Charged for minor make up stain that would wash out if they did there laundry. Honestly they charged $ 150 at first under a different business name for a tiny make up stain on comforter. Wasn’t even us but if so it wash out. Or i said hold it if I’m paying for it i wanna pick it up and wash and keep it? They threw out. There isnt coffe the towels small. DO do do not ever stay here please it’s a shithole scammers

Waste of money, waste of time, place is a waste of waste. Never in my life have I been to a hotel where not even rats would want to be. It stinks, and it stinks and did i mention it STINKS! The bedding had nasty stains all over. Probably from people visiting the strip clubs across the street and you know what afterwards on the bed.
The bathroom has a strong stench of Urine. The whole place is so dirty that i want to wear shoes on top of my shoes to keep the nastiness off my feet.
Never would i recommend this place to anyone or anything living let alone dead. I would rather stay farther from Sea World, pay more or or even sleep in my car than to put my family in this situation again!

First I want to say I did read the reviews so I was prepared for the worst.
Wanted to have a nice stay to visit Sea world and wanted a close hotel for two nights.
The check-​in was very simple and easy, the clerk gave us the info on the pool, spa and WiFi.
We stayed in room 208 which was just refurbished.
The air conditioning work with no problems, in fact had to turn it down as it work very good. Yes we had to plug in the larger mini refrigerator and microwave, no big beat. The frig was cold enough in one hour for my beer and wife’s soda.
The bed was king size and I check for any (bed) bugs inside which were none. Sheet were clean along this the pillows case. The comforter (white color) look as if it was just cleaned no stains.
The rug was new didn’t see and stain. The tile in the vanity area and bathroom was new and clean.
They replace the old TV with a new 32 inch flat screen with free cable while we were there with in one hour of check in.
The bathroom was clean and the tube had good water pressure. The toilet had a very good flush.
Parking is either under the rooms or cross the back part. I notice the night clerk watch the vehicles via cameras as he came out to check the lot.
The pool was clean along with the spa.
Several good restaurants just two minutes walking from hotel, Hawaiian and Vietnamese.
The only con I saw was the (adult) gentleman’s club across the street, which I still fell safe as I saw several security guards walking in front.

Buyer beware. Better pay a few more bucks, stay somewhere else. Room is small, TV doesn’t have the channels listed, stain in toilet, bed sheets are rough and worst of all, smell of bad drainage all over the room. I usually don’t write reviews but felt obliged to share this horrible experience. It was cheap at $ 64 a night but the small savings is not worth it.

Beautiful, natural light… family-​sized rooms… free wifi… breakfast in the morning… AND central to everything you need in the Sports Arena area. Easily my favorite hotel in San Diego! I loved our suite, and the layout is so comfortable. It felt like home.
The best part was the price. At $ 50 a night, booking online was pie. I can’t believe I wasted so much money on gross rooms for so long before finding this place. Motel six ain’t got NOTHIN’ on this place.

Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!
I made the mistake of not Unilocaling the hotel before booking.
First off, this hotel is literally across the street from a strip club and there is NO mention of that anywhere.
Second, the front desk staff was rude to us as well as the person on the phone with him… sarcastic and short about everything.
Third, the rooms were DISGUSTING. The bathroom floor was so dirty and dingy that we wore shoes the whole time. The refrigerator is unplugged until you check in so don’t waste your money on anything cold because it takes a few hours to get cold. The sink in our room didn’t drain except for every few hours so we couldn’t use it. Our blankets had blonde hair stuck to them and sand or crumbs covered the bed under the sheets. The entire building is falling apart inside and out.
The added bonus was a man outside from 3:00am-3:45am drunkenly fighting, screaming, and swearing as loud as he could. Then we were lucky enough to be woken up by a SHAKING room from the neighbor’s kids running past the door at 7am. The place needs to be demolished and started over.
Extremely disappointed and will be getting in touch with Expedia to let them know how terrible the experience was.
(Our door said they charge $ 250 a night for this dump!!!)

The only reason why I even give this place two stars. One star, cause the gentleman at the front desk was nice and helpful and the second because this place is conveniently located near everything. Food is plentiful, there’s a target nearby. Best of all there’s a strip club directly across the street!!!
Now the room, opened the door… sad. Beds are uncomfortable. Feels like I’m laying in a plastic bag. The tv remote doesn’t even change channels. And the bar soap was the smallest hotel soap I have ever seen. Looks like it’s good for half a shower.
There are other things, but I’m not going to go into finite details. I booked this room for the purpose of sleeping while in town for work. Just needed a place to lay my head, so I wasn’t looking for something fancy. With that said, I don’t plan on staying here again. Room was priced fairly (cheapest in the area), but I will be happy to spend an extra 10 – 30 dollars a night at a different location. Was not worth saving a few dollars.
If the rooms got remodeled and the beds were more comfortable along with providing a proper size soap bar, I would book another stay. Until then, I will stay away and not look back.

When I was booking this hotel I was not informed of all the strip clubs surrounding the motel. This is defiantly not a place to stay with kids, and we won’t be coming back to this place.
Just to say we didn’t stay here long. There are water stains on the ceiling along with «other» stains… The shades of the lamp were broken, the wall paper was peeling off the walls, the bathroom wall was painted over «probably to either cover more stains or they didn’t have the money for out dated wall paper.» The door jam floor cover in the bathroom to bedroom was broken and had a chunk missing right in the middle, and last there were black marks on the shower curtain and black hairs tangled in the towels. All in all this place should be your last resort.

One of the worst places I’ve been. The location yes might be convenient, but it’s a true dump. The window near the door was falling out of it’s metal frame and portions of it was cracked. The refrigerator was smelly and turned off. Microwave unplugged and the lights didn’t work between the beds. When you walked on the walkway to get to your room, the flooring was soft and slanted. I was worried the whole thing would fall down. Needs more than a new coat of paint.
The price was low, but in this case you got worst than what you paid for. Desk personnel were friendly and nice, but I’m sure they were embarrassed. The picture in their ad looks good, but don’t be fooled. A true rip off! DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE TRULY DESPERATE.

This place is easy to miss, parking is cramped and the rooms are not super desirable. We checked in late and I asked if we could have a good room, the man laughed and played along with me and said we were upgraded to a suite. I was hella excited, but then lost the excitement upon entering my room.
It smelled musty and the fridge was unplugged. The sitting area was nice and large, as were the rooms, but you just felt dingy being in there. I didn’t want to take off my socks. The bathroom was super small and the door hit the toilet when you closed it. The bathroom was moldy and yucky and the shower head had enough pressure to tear your nipples off! I was very afraid!
The rooms are very large, but the beds were hard as a rock and the pillows were crappy. The one great thing was the down comforter thing. Super nice!
The pool here is small and situated in an awkward position right next to the parking area. The cleaner does a superb job though of keeping it clean though!
I doubt we would ever stay here again. The location is prime if you want a quick trip to Sea World or the beach. Also, I can’t being a whiny little bish because I’m a cheap ass.
