Bellagio Salon & Day Spa provides a superior day spa experience including a one of a kind hairstylist team, conveniently located in the heart of San Diego’s Mission Valley. We specialize in Day Spa packages where clients come to our facility to spend 2 – 5 hours relaxing and enjoying treatments with a spa lunch and complimentary champagne. Our hair stylists are fully trained in both cut and color. These specialists have the skills, talent and creativity to help each person achieve their desired «look».

Unlike many salons and spas where the spa seems an afterthought, our facility was carefully designed to maximize the client experience. The salon and spa are separate spaces but connected for the client’s convenience. This design creates a unique setting for each type of service. The brand new hair salon was created to be cheery, open and bright, encouraging creativity and innovation while the spa is warm and tranquil immediately enveloping each client in the peaceful, zen-​like atmosphere.

In addition to hair cuts, coloring and highlights, we are experienced in speciality services like corrective color, ombré, balayage, hair extensions and Brazilian Blowout. We are a Brazilian Blowout certified «Platinum Salon»!

Our recently remodeled day spa provides a quiet, calm environment for all your spa needs. We specialize in professional makeup application, massages, couples massages, facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, full body waxing, body wraps, and body scrubs.

Established in 2003.

History: Bellagio Salon and Spa in San Diego has been under the same ownership since October 2010. Our location, inside the Promenade Luxury Apartments, is beautiful and serene. Our facility was recently remodeled. We have approximately 3000 sq feet and offer an 8 chair hair salon, 3 esthetician rooms, 2 single massage rooms, 2 couple massage rooms, a double person shower and a large relaxation lounge with private lunch areas.

Services Offered: We specialize in professional makeup application, hair cutting, hair color, hair extensions, Brazilian Blowout, massages, couples massages, facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, full body waxing, body wraps, body scrubs and Steamy Wonder treatments.

I have owned Bellagio Salon and Day Spa since October 2010. We have made many changes over the last 3 years to create the perfect salon and day spa for our clients! We renovated in Feb 2014 and combined our salon and day spa into a single location. Our services are still fully separated to ensure a great salon OR spa experience complete with a quiet relaxation lounge and shower. We hire only the very best staff, have standard protocols and regular training to ensure that you get a FABULOUS experience EVERY time you visit us!

My husband surprised me with a cut & color here on Mother’s Day. I showed the stylist a photo of what I wanted & thought he understood the color I was asking for. I naturally have a light auburn and wanted a bright red (what he called copper) with purple underneath. When he showed me the swatch, I mentioned that it looked too dark & explained that this would be the 4th time I’ve been to a salon & asked for this exact color, only to have it turn out too dark. He told me to trust him, so I did. I enjoyed his company throughout my appointment, since he was funny & very personable. Once my hair was done, it looked a bit dark, but I figured after a few washes, it would lighten to the color I’d asked for. It didn’t. It remains a dark red, almost maroon color, and you can’t even see the purple.
The owner or possibly manager (?) of the salon called me asking how my experience was. I told her that it had come out darker than I’d hoped, so she asked me to come in to try a clarifying shampoo. When I arrived, I realized I had been put with the same stylist who’d originally done my hair. He was defensive & seemed offended that I had returned. He said he did not recommend a clarifying shampoo, since it would likely strip too much of the color, told me he didn’t understand why I was unhappy, and tried to convince me to like my hair instead of asking what we could do to make me happy. He then proceeded to try to explain the science of chemical processing and why my hair will never be able to be the color I asked for (even though I am a natural redhead). I didn’t know what else there was to say, since I felt unheard & disregarded, so I left the salon.
I spent about $ 190 on my hair that day after the tip, which is a lot of money to spend on something you’re unhappy with, especially when it was supposed to be my Mother’s Day gift, & especially when we’re a family of 5 living off of 1 salary. Within two weeks, my hair looked even worse, since the roots are a completely different color than the ends. I hadn’t even noticed until a friend pointed it out to me. I wash my hair only twice per week & do so with cold water & an organic shampoo. As for the cut, I asked for long layers with a side fringe, since I’m trying to grow my hair out. It’s a bit heavy on top and thin on bottom, but it’s ok.
I sent an email to the salon but have heard nothing. I later found out that the hairdresser discussed me with another client, which I found to be extremely unprofessional. Luckily, that client is my best friend who frequents the salon every 4 – 6 weeks and is the one who referred us in the first place. However, I will never go back to this salon, and it surprises me that considering they claim to be award-​winning that they wouldn’t care more about the satisfaction of their customers.

This place was amazing! My husband surprised me by setting us up for a couples massage for our anniversary. I had no idea what to expect but the moment I walked into the spa area I was immediately impressed. The place was really pretty, the décor was sleek and perfectly put together. They offered us wine while we waited (which was only a few short minutes). Andrea was my massage therapist and she was fantastic! I would highly recommend booking your massage with her! Our massage included aromatherapy which was the absolute perfect touch. I’d give more stars in my rating if I could.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences at this salon because I always receive the best treatment and services. I love the location because Mission Valley is chill and the salon is inside of a nice condo complex. It’s upscale so it’s on the high end as far as pricing goes but it’s worth it. The place is clean and relaxing. The front desk girls are helpful and friendly. I like the fact that they offer champagne, mimosas, and wine. There’s a spa on the other side which I have yet to explore. I’ve heard great things about the services on that end though so maybe someday I’ll try it out.
The best piece to this puzzle is Rica. She’s the shit. She has skills when it comes to hair. I don’t think anyone else has touched my hair in the last 6 years. I follow her everywhere she goes and I always will because she kills it every time. There’s times when I have an idea in mind and she always makes it happen. Then there’s other times when I’m just bored and tell her to do whatever she wants and I’m never disappointed. She’s taken me from blonde, rose gold, light brown, red to black, and back again. She’s given me highlights, peekaboos and ombré balayage. She does it all and makes it look bomb. You’ll have a good time sitting in her chair too because she’s hilarious. Oh and don’t get me started on the head massage she gives during the shampoo and conditioning. I’m pretty sure any salon is the best if she’s working in it.

As a new guest, I was welcomed warmly with a tour and a mimosa. They took me in right away and my hair was done almost immediately by my stylist who did my hair so effortlessly and well.

I came here for the Mommy to Be Pregnancy package (an AMAZING gift for any pregnant ladies in your life!!) and it was seriously wonderful. Every person I encountered at the spa was so kind and easy to get along with — like a group of friends giving you a spa day.
I started with a massage with Andrea. She was so gentle, explained all of my options for how to best position myself comfortably (managing a big belly) and created a wonderful calming atmosphere — plus an excellent massage. Then I had a very nice lunch, nothing fancy but fresh salad and fruit with soup — you wouldn’t want anything heavy during a spa day anyway.
Next I had the le grande classique facial (part of the package) with Erin. She was SO knowledgeable, funny and professional. My face looked and felt cleaner than it ever had for a solid two weeks after that facial and I can’t stop thinking about it.
Finally Luis did my shampoo and style. He was energetic, kind and very professional — he listened to what I wanted and made me feel great about myself as I was leaving. I raved enough about the whole spa experience that my husband went back and bought another massage for my birthday — I’m hooked! Thanks Bellagio!

My husband booked me a package for my birthday as a surprise. It was nice. Loved the Swedish massage, the facial was relaxing but I didn’t totally care for the hair part. The girl was nice, but it was awkward. I was supposed to have lunch first, but then I was moved & told I needed to go to the lobby & actually get my hair done first. In which I really preferred to put my clothes back on vs. sitting in the open salon in a robe. Then I was moved back to the spa area for lunch. There was also some confusion with the facial– my hubby scheduled a microdermabrasion & I was put in for a different facial treatment. They were nice when we arrived & fixed it. Despite the confusion it was a nice day & the salad was good.

Finally went back for my Swedish massage. Loved every 60 minutes of it. My therapist Kaia was awesome. I’ve been coming to Bellagio for a few years now. Always a pleasant experience. This time they offered me a glass of bubbles, while I filled out paperwork and waited for my appointment. Pre-​booked my next massage in 3 weeks.

We were recommended this salon and spa by our hotel. We each had 2 services in the spa. The girls who did the services were awesome! Hands down professional.
We had planned to go to the beach after our spa afternoon, but there is really no place to put on your makeup or even blow dry your hair. If you want a shower there is only one shower to share. To blow dry your hair you have to go out to
The salon and use a empty chair. I found this spa overpriced and really in need of some serious TLC.

Thank you for a great experience! I had a massage and facial. My massage was with Vaia. She asked what spots needed more attention and she definitely worked those spots. She did a great job. My facial was with Donia. She also did a great job. Unfortunately she will be moving. But I think no matter who you go to you will be happy, when you find the right fit for you will be even happier. It is a wonderful place to be pampered. The Bellagio Salad with a side of fruit that I had was fresh and very good! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is very nice and attentive. Thank you, Luis, for finally giving me the haircut that no one has been able to get right! I just wanted all the thickness out of the ends of my hair as it is so heavy, without it looking chunky or losing too much length. I’m so happy, will definitely come back for those 6 – 8 wk trims :).

I spent quite some time researching salons and decided to book an appointment at Bellagio because of the awards and recognition they received. I was really excited because I’ve always been the over the counter hair dye kind of girl so this was a new experience for me.
Parking was easy to find. Everyone was really nice. Dana was my stylist. I showed her what I wanted (very light balayage ombré) and she explained to me that it would take 2 sessions to achieve the color I wanted. I figured that would be the case beforehand so I didn’t mind.
After she was done styling my hair the result wasn’t what I wanted, but she warned me already so I wasn’t that upset, but it still sucked knowing I would have to be walking around with weird orange bleached hair for a month.
When I got home I got more upset because it just didn’t look right. I tried not to think about it and had my hair up for the reminder of the day. It wasn’t until the next day when I straightened my hair that I realized how horrible it really was.
She didn’t blend very well, you can see the line where the color starts and there are chunks that she missed. There’s also random small spots on top of my head that are bleached that are very noticeable.
I don’t even know where I’m going with this review. It’s hard to say because everyone there was nice, but I paid over $ 200 for a bad hair job and now I’m probably paying another $ 200 today to get this fixed elsewhere.

Awesone staff and customer service. Rica has been the best hairdresser thus far. I’ve had many and she’s the only one that knows what she’s doing. I have had a couple of massages here. Always top notch. The therapists are professional and knowledgeable and I love being able to sit in the lounge and relax and have a glass of wine after. I would highly recommend the bellagio signature with a steam added, it’s heavenly! I haven’t tried the lunch package yet, but I look forward to it soon :)

Went to this salon for the Brazilian blowout. My hairstylist, Rica, was great. Very friendly, personable, and sweet. I paid $ 350 total for the blowout and shampoo, conditioner, and pomades that were recommended. The blowout changed nothing about my hair. Nothing that was promised happened. I was guaranteed that the procedure would eliminate my frizz. I followed all their directions exactly. The procedure did nothing.
I called the owner to explain the situation. The owner was very polite but stated there was nothing she could do. I do not appreciate being told multiple times that this procedure would produce guaranteed results and then have nothing happen. I understand there is no guarantee to how my hair would react, but I don’t appreciate the salon basically washing their hands of me when finding out everything they promised did not come through.

When i first heard about this place, that it was the winner of the best spa of 2014. I decided to go there
When i called them the appointments it was so easy. The people that work there, they so rude and disrespectful, they gossip about the costumer and pointing fingers. I was coloring my hair it looks nice but after looking closely at it i saw my hair looks like a clown, they skip a lot of parts in my hair special in the back but my friends took pictures of it and showed to my and i was so shock. This place is the worst spa in 2015!!!

I’m a native from San Diego, but live in Maryland. I booked my appointment with Bellagio Salon & Day Spa. When I arrived, I was shocked to see that the salon was located below an apartment complex. It wasn’t so easy to locate, but once you started driving around, you’ll figure it out. From what I’ve seen, it didn’t appear the parking was ample. However, they did cover the cost of parking.
Luis, was my hairstylist. I loved the way he made my hair look. I know when I’m back in town, Luis will be my first stop when it comes to my hair needs.
