Not as good as pinkberry and the others. Consistency so melty and sticky it’s almost not worth eating.

I tried really hard to like this place; my friends said it was really good, and a necessary topping to a dinner at Hooters(then again, the Hooters part also disappointed, so.) but. There are many things with this place that rub me the wrong way: — the flavors. none of my favorites(green tea, taro, cappuccino, etc.) and the cookies and crème, which is one I do enjoy, doesn’t taste like cookies and crème. at all. — the toppings. the selections of granola(my favorite) weren’t very good; not chunky and big pieces, and overall the other toppings just didn’t seem appetizing. — the overall ambience. it doesn’t feel friendly or a place where people would have fun just hanging out. Ehh.

Straight from a donkey’s butt then stored in a freezer. Absolutely and horrifyingly disgusting. This is now my fourth and final time at Beso. I’m a big believer in trying one place more than once before making a conclusion. I’ve had Unilocal messages back and forth with the owner and although I really admire the owner’s efforts(along with her husband’s), really, this yogurt is unacceptable. The NY Cheesecake yogurt was so watery I spilled it on my shirt. Really, I’m not trying to be funny. I was lifting the sample up to my mouth and it spilled all over. Who knows, maybe I am just an idiot. I should have just left the place but I felt bad for them so I got the blueberry. So I live less than 2 miles from Beso and by the time I got home(no I don’t drive a Chevy Cobalt), 25% of my yogurt melted and I even got it in a styrofoam cup(supposed to insulate)! $ 4.60+ for a frozen pile a turd. Bogart’s would have charged $ 2.80 for the equivalent portion(large) and it would have tasted way better. I am a big believer in the financial and capital markets. With that belief, I believe that bankruptcies are a good thing because it weeds out bad businesses, businesses that should cease to exist. If Beso files Chapter 7, I wouldn’t be surprised. I’d be surprise if it files Chapter 11 since no sane bankruptcy judge would let this place continue operating. Beso Yogurt owners, I’m not trying to be mean; I’ve tried your place four times! I’ve put $ 15+ into your business and I didn’t get anything in return(no, the yogurt wasn’t good). Please shape up or close down.

Had the sugar-free vanilla & the chocolate. Both were very icy, and not the creamy consistency of frozen yogurt that I love. The place smelled very strange, and the overall vibe in there was kind of dingy. Although it is self-service, if you are not into toppings, and care more about the yogurt– go somewhere else instead.

Okay, its interior is a little unorthodox. It’s kind of cavernous — the yogurt dispensers are on the far wall. You pick up this giant styrofoam cup and fill it however you want with yogurt and toppings. Then you put it on the scale and pay according to weight. I’ve noticed several customers inadvertantly pick up the plastic lid to the giant styrofoam bucket, I mean cup, and then comfortably fit their helping inside the lid. I’m a fan of the green apple flavor. And, yeah, the employees appear to be low-wage workers so the service is not extraordinary.

i had wanted to stop by golden hanger, but they’re closed until tomorrow. so when i saw a new yogurt place we stopped in an effort to cheer me up. it’s self serve, ten flavors. my boyfriend got lychee and i got green tea. there were some interesting toppings such as strawberry cake and red bean mochi, but we digressed. my boyfriend saw the girl at the counter cough without covering her mouth. gross. she seemed pretty over it all. the green tea yogurt was super icy and on the flavorless side. the lychee was better, but i wouldn’t come back for it.

Beso Yogurt is located near the Pacific Beach boardwalk(near to Tony Roma’s). Since beso means kiss in spanish, the name translates to Kiss Yogurt which fits the tasty yogurt they serve up. The store is new and clean but what sets it apart is the Yogurt choices(10) and the fact that it is all self serve including Toppings. I really like their Chocolate and Peanut Butter flavors. Some of the flavors rotate which keeps their offerings fresh and interesting. Recommended!
