Quality private guitar lessons for students from beginning to advanced level. Electric and acoustic students of all ages are welcome. Lessons take place in a comfortable, professional teaching studio complete with a spacious waiting/​warm up room. Electric bass and ukulele lessons are also offered.

History

Established in 2015.

Bishop Music Instruction opened in January 2015. Owner/​Instructor Jeff Bishop needed a location to teach his students after Guitar Trader, the Kearny Mesa music store where he had taught for over 30 years, closed its doors in December 2014. The lessons studio has become an active center for both private lessons and workshops, designed to further students’ learning in a group environment.

Jeff B.

Business Owner

Jeff has combined performing and teaching throughout his professional career. Experienced on both electric and acoustic guitar, he has performed extensively in many different settings. His main focus for many years has been playing solo guitar for special events. He has performed background music for weddings, business events and private functions at most of the hotels and event venues in the San Diego area. In addition, Jeff has been involved in church worship music for the past 25 years and serves, along with his wife Aurora, as worship leader at Pacific Beach Christian Church. Together they have three adult children.
