Blue Dot Refill provides all your favorite eco-​friendly, cruelty-​free, natural body care and household cleaning products in bulk. Simply bring in an old bottle & reuse it by refilling it with our soaps, lotions, detergents, & cleaning supplies!

Single-​use, disposable plastics are the greatest source of plastic pollution waste on the Planet. Every piece of plastic that has ever been produced still exists out there, somewhere.

It’s easy to help the Planet and save money at Blue Dot Refill:

1) Bring in any empty container, bottle, or jar that you already have at home (or buy a recycled one from BDR)

2) We’ll weigh your empty (to deduct bottle weight from your purchase)

3) Fill the empty with your favorite bulk cleaning or body care product

4) Re-​weigh, pay, and save! Refilling in bulk costs less than buying new retail (plastic bottles are expensive!)

History

Established in 2014.

Blue Dot Refill’s Mission is simple: To reduce the amount of single-​use plastic bottles in circulation.

Refill stations reduce the pollution being generated to produce new or recycled bottles, in addition to reducing the enormous amount of plastic pollution currently choking our landfills, beaches, lakes, rivers, and oceans. We Are Living On This Planet As If We Have Another One To Go To.

Although single-​use plastic bottles (PET & HDPE) are the most recycled plastic product in the waste stream, less than two thirds are actually recovered (the EPA’s label for something successfully recycled into a new product life), EPA 2012 statistic.

It is our desire to help the planet by reducing the amount of single-​use plastic bottles by allowing people to refill their current soaps, lotions, & cleaning supplies in their already existent bottles. «Because Less Plastic is Fantastic.»

Business Owner

Deidre, the Founder of Blue Dot Refill, has been passionate about recycling and keeping Mother Earth from being overrun with trash since she was a teenager: starting out carting her family’s empty bottles from their small, rural Minnesota town to the big city before her home town instituted a curbside recycling program.

She can be seen lovingly ripping straws from her friend’s hands and burning herself regularly on hot tea that splashes out of the cup which she refused to cover with a disposable plastic lid.

Blue Dot Refill is her way of giving San Diegans an easy way make a difference.
