Body Craft – Ryu Kawajiri

What an uplifting experience it is to see Ryu!
I have been training for a marathon for a couple of months, I invested my heart and soul into running it, as well as a lot of time and money. When my knees started hurting and preventing me from reaching my goals I went to see a chiropractor, the guy treated me just like another number and did not remedy my pain. I had almost given up hope for running this marathon… until I met Ryu.
He immediately made me feel welcome into his office and thoroughly listened to me when I explained the cause of my pain. He clearly thought about how it occured and asked the appropriate questions. I then laid down on the cushioned table and he examined my legs and knees. Within conversation Ryu explained to me that he is certified in several different types of medicine in his home country of Japan and he is able to utilize his knowledge base from each practice and diagnose the problem and recommend a solution appropriately.
He uses a machine called the Electro Acuscope, I swear it looks like a 1970’s projected futuristic model of a lie detector test but it was developed by a scientist from NASA and even though it looks outdated, it truly works. It sends an electrocal charge through the effected area and jump starts the pained area. It tingles a little bit too.
I have seen him twice and he was able to recognize, by touch, that my IT band has decreased in stiffness. Even though he must have seen 15 patients between my two appointments he remembered my body and noticed the improvement, I was more than just another patient in his schedule.
He told me how he would like me to start training again and wants to be in touch about how my knees are and we can reschedule accordingly. Not many therapist will advise you in such a way. Ryu is extremely knowledgeable about the body, is happy to explain everything to you, treats you like a person and not a number and has the equipment necessary for correcting your pain. I would recommend Ryu to any athelete having pain and any person who would like to mitigate discomfort.
I am going to accomplish a life goal with the help of Ryu!
