History

Established in 2013.

Pilates can bring about amazing transformations in a person’s body; filling the gap between strength training and pure cardio. It will tone your body, creating long lean muscle. There is a lack of traditional Pilates in San Diego. At many studios, form is undisciplined and classes are so large teachers are helpless to correct error.

Indoor cycling provides a low impact, high intensity cardio workout that is very hard to beat. Combine this with the group atmosphere and you find yourself in a reinforcing environment, pushing you to the next level. Finally, there was a lack of spinning studios downtown.

Body In Harmony Studio was founded to bring these two different forms of exercise together in a unique way. Premium equipment was selected and the facilities built to be very accommodating. Body In Harmony is the end result of our vision. The symbiotic nature of the environment, the complementary types of exercise, and the energy in the studio provide a complete, harmonious workout.

Meet the Business Owner

Lauren D.

Business Owner

Athletics have been a cornerstone of Lauren’s life. Growing up she competed in soccer, swimming, and basketball. Ten years ago she found a new love; Pilates. Pilates was an activity that allowed her to come into tune with her body like no other form of exercise could. During her adventure in Pilates she wanted a little more in her workouts and started adding cycling into her routine and found that this was a great combination. Lauren started road cycling and would use that as her main transportation when she moved to San Diego 5 years ago. Since then, her love for cycling grew, and even when she damaged her wrist she found a way to keep this exercise going. Stationary cycling complemented Pilates very well. Cycling provides an excellent cardio burn while Pilates tones and refines muscle.
