Brows by Nikki

I have serious trust issues when it comes to my eyebrows. I’ve seen Nikki a total of four times in the span of a year. The last time I saw her, my eyebrows were a complete mess. I was impatient and allowed someone else to wax my eyebrows leaving them uneven (in length, shape, and thickness) and impossible to fill in.
I told Nikki my situation and she delivered once again! It’s important to tell any wax technician what you would like, especially since she has such a large clientele. For $ 18 you will leave with some fleeky eyebrows. I usually break out after getting waxed but this never happens with Nikki because she is extremely clean and uses high quality wax.
Be sure to schedule an appointment with her ahead of time, you won’t regret it!

I know I have written a review before but I can’t speak highly enough of Nikki! She’s a master of Brows! Every time my eyebrows start to look a little crazy Nikki fits me right in and makes my brows look fantastic! If you haven’t had your brows done by her… They probably don’t look as good as mine! :-D I’ll never let another person touch my brows again!!! Thanks Nikki!

I was pretty shocked to see someone had given Brows by Nikki a 1 star review! She has been doing my brows for years and they have always looked amazing. I can always trust that my brows will look the same and that they will be beautiful!’ Don’t let Amy W’s review fool you, after looking at her reviews it seems all she does is give people one star reviews. Seems like an interesting pattern to me… I would never let anyone else touch my brows! Nikki is constantly booked for a reason!

I’ve been going to Nikki for more than a year and was a happy client til now. Nikki started working on me without asking what style I wanted this time. Thought she amazingly kept track of each clients’ style preference but damn I was wrong. After she’s done the ends of my brows literally disappeared. My eyebrows were over-​waxed/​plucked. Couldn’t notice at first because she filled them with powder but she did them unevenly with the end much darker than the rest, very noticeable and looked awkward. Plus my skin ended up burning like hell after this waxing which never happened before. Picture is worth a thousand words. Don’t think she’s keeping her quality, maybe she’s too busy. Can’t go out without makeup. Wanna cry every time I look at my eyebrows in the mirror. Asked her to fix it and her answer was «have to wait for hair to grow back». Time to look for a new place.

Nikki is the best! She has been doing my brows for years and is always so professional and friendly. She puts you at ease, always does a great job and fixes my messes when I’ve plucked a few too many in between appts. Won’t go to anyone else.

Updating my post — it does say she is out of town Oct 24 to Nov 2 on her website. She did get back to me on Nov 2, but did not have appointment open for more than 3 weeks which is pretty unreasonable for such a service.

I got my brows done earlier by Nikki. I kept canceling and rescheduling my appointment and Nikki was just so sweet for letting me get a later appointment! She made my eyebrows so clean and shaped well. Waxing was fast and very tolerable. She

I’ve been going to Nikki for a while now and I will never have anyone else do my eyebrows! If you want those perfect, movie star eyebrows then this is the place for you. She takes the time to measure your eyebrows and make sure that everything is even. The best part for me is that she does an extremely quick and near painless job.
Oh, and I constantly get compliments on my eyebrows!

Nikki was amazing. She starts out your appointment by a consultation and actually listens to what you want and advises you to her best knowledge. Then she takes the time to measure out your eyebrows before waxing them. The whole time feels like your really getting pampered. My eyebrows came out amazing, so did my cousins and moms too.

I managed a skin care clinic in the LA area for 5 years prior to moving to San Diego. That being said, I am super picky about my eyebrows and anyone who touches my face. I went back to LA to see my usual girl a few times before I had to look for someone new (I was so reluctant). I relied on Unilocal reviews and they definitely didn’t let me down. Nikki is amazing! I have sensitive skin but have not broken out from her wax. I have not gone back to my other girl in LA because… I like the way Nikki does them better! She is efficient with time as well, I’m always in and out in 15 minutes and leave with flawless brows. Nikki is the brow queen!

I just had my first appointment with Nikki! She was super great at accommodating an appointment with me (it gets tricky since I have a toddler). I have always gotten my eyebrows done at a nail salon by my parents house in Eastlake and though they do a pretty decent job, it’s like night and day going from them to Nikki!!! Since I moved to the mission valley area about a month and a half ago, I wanted to find a place to get my eyebrows done that was closer to me than to make a commute to my old place… I can’t tell you how pleased I am to have come across Nikki’s page on Unilocal!I didn’t have to explain how I envisioned or wanted my brows, she did her thing and it was EXACTLY how I have wanted them for quite some time now. She hands down SLAYED them! I have always had thin sparse brows with barely a tail to draw in, and she made them so natural and beautiful! If you are looking for someone — stop looking, and go to her!!!

I emailed Nikki to set up an appointment for a full face wax for four days before my wedding. Her office is a little difficult to find but very clean and relaxing.
She began doing my eyebrows immediately and finished very quickly. My eyebrows looked nice but I pointed out to her that I had requested a full face wax in my email. She told me that she didn’t have me scheduled for a full face and that she didn’t have time for that. She asked if she could reschedule me for another day but I told her that I didn’t have time to come back before my wedding. She told me I could come back in 45 minutes and she would be able to squeeze me in. All of this was fine, and I was very thankful that she was able to do the full wax even though there was miscommunication.
The reason I am leaving only two stars is because this waxing session has caused me to break out horribly. I am not an acne prone person whatsoever and I am now dealing with severely irritated skin. I have not changed lotions/​makeup etc. This was not my first time getting a full face wax, but it is the first time I’ve had a reaction like this.
Overall, Nikki was nice and did a good job shaping my eyebrows, but I would never return because of the effects I am dealing with now.
After seeing my review Nikki reached out to me and apologized for the issues that I was experiencing. She issued me a full refund and was extremely kind about the whole situation. She is a really great business owner.

Brought my 15 year old daughter in for her first time eyebrow wax. Nikki did a great job! She is very quick and very efficient. Her room is very clean.

I sent a e-​mail late last night asking Nikki if she had any appointments today, when I woke up she had answered and I got an appointment today. I’m only in San Diego for a couple of days so I was so happy that she had time for me and my brows. Last of all, the result was just perfect!

Shes great! I was a little unsure of getting my brows done by someone new, as im new to the area, but im glad to say my brows are now on point thanks to her! Do yourself a favor, go to nikki. Nikki was so sweet, and even sent a thank you card! This girl knows her business for sure!
Also, if you do, her salon is in white medical building behind dennys off of friars. Go inside, and turn left!

I met Nikki about a month ago & we were having slight difficulty working with each other’s schedule but I LOVED that she did NOT quit working with me to find THE date that works for me & her. She really made me feel like I mattered as a potential client!
When I finally met with her she LISTENED to how I would like my eyebrows to look (some Estheticians I’ve worked with in the past would just wax away & some ended up making my brows really thin :/​) — I told Nikki I want them wider & work on eventually growing them out to have natural eyebrows & not have to draw them on too much in the future. Then she explained how we will get to that, etc — pretty much a plan for my hairy caterpillars lol!
Her place is small but very comfortable, clean, comforting, & it smells good.
The only thing I wish was better would be — I wish she had more open slots so I can get my eyebrows waxed asap but hey! Busy business means good business so I know she will always be worth the wait & make up for it buy making my eyebrows look fabulous!
Oh &! I even got a Thank You card from her! & THAT, is why I give her 5 stars. Not only is she very good at what she does, she’s also appreciative of the clients she does it for — very professional!

OK I have to post again! I can’t get over how perfect Nikki is she is so welcoming and is ready for a challenge! Let’s just say I brought my mom in yesterday for an eyebrow wax. (Note my mom has basically little to no hair and very thin eyebrows.) Nikki made some magic happen and my mom’s brows look amazing!

I drive almost an hour from North County to come see Nikki, which should speak for itself about how amazingly talented she is at perfecting brows.
Scheduling is easy– I always text her a few days in advance, and she always responds promptly and books my appointment. She also follows up the day before the appointment to remind you.
Her little studio is clean and relaxing. Though my eyes are closed when she performs the service, it seems like what she does is fill in my brows prior to waxing them. I TOTALLY appreciate this method, because every time the shape is perfect, consistent, and more importantly– both brows are always the same shape and size! Her waxing technique is quick and painless. My brows have never looked better since I began seeing her. She always fixes you back up before you leave by filling in your brows. Her prices are super reasonable, and she is an absolute sweetheart.

Now that I’ve been here twice I must say it proves how consistent and amazing Nikki is! I work from home and I’m always on the run, Nikki makes it so convenient to schedule my next Appt. with a simple text. She also sends me monthly reminders, which can be life savors. After my first visit she sent me this cute little post card in the mail thanking me for my business. Plenty of parking, her studio is nice and neat, very clean. I would def recommend Nikki to anyone
