Awesome customer service, but Bubble Street was out of so many items! I was excited to try some drinks from here since it looked new and it’s made fresh. Bubble Street, you can’t expect a good reputation in Mira Mesa if you don’t have half of your menu available on a Saturday. There is potential for great business being located next to Grill City!

We stopped in Seafood City to pick up some groceries and saw this little boba place and decided to try it. We ordered a coconut pandan milk tea with boba and a Choco Momo«smoothie». There was only one girl working there and she was obviously overwhelmed. There were a lot if orders and only one person to make all the drinks and take orders so it took half an hour to get our drinks. The girl apologized for the delay which was sweet of her but that did not make up for how bad the Choco Moco drink was. And that is also not her fault, but the recipe us just bad. It was supposed to be like a chocolate banana flavor but it tasted like an icy chocolate water which was obviously flavored with powder so we could taste and feel the grit. I would have given one star, but the coconut pandan milk tea was fine. And I rarely see this flavor at any other boba stops so I was delighted to see it. However, I do not think I would return to Boba Street.

We ordered 5 drinks and it took about 25 minutes. There were two workers, one taking orders, one making drinks. After we ordered, one worker went to the back and never came back out. The one worker left was working at a very slow pace. And wasn’t very atentive. We had to ask for bags and straws, and yeah its a small thing, but it’s something that should come naturally. The actual drinks are okay.

Had tried both the original milk tea and red bean milk tea. Milk tea tasted like any other milk tea. I can tell powder flavor was used. The red bean was too sweet. Had to wash it down with ask entire bottle of water. I was sad that the red bean wasn’t incorporated as I had hoped it would be. It all just seemed to float to the bottom instead of being mixed thoroughly as it should be. My sister wasn’t fascinated about the drinks either. Maybe I’ll try some of the other flavors but not my favorite place to be getting boba drinks so far.

Located next to Grill City inside Seafood City, this Bubble Street is the first San Diego County location(the majority of them are located in the Southland Seafood City locales). With the weather we’ve been having as of late, I came here a couple of days ago to get something we’d seen on the menu: the Sweet Alligator smoothie. At $ 3.95 for a 16 oz., this is made with avocado cubes, coconut milk, condensed milk, green jelly, red beans, langka/jackfruit purée, macapuno strings, and tapioca. If this sounds familiar, it’s because it’s almost like Filipino halo-halo. While the drink was sweet and delicious, I wished that the jelly and tapioca were a bit more firmer. Also, the service here is pretty slow and inefficient… there was only one person manning the counter, and as these drinks take some time to craft, perhaps having another counter person would help things move along.

We got to try their«sweet alligator» treat… It’s kinda like the Pinoy halo-halo. We liked it a lot.
