Burger King

My family and I arrived from the airport late one night and decided to stop here at 11pm (they close at 12am). We waited in the drive through at least 10 minutes before we were noticed/​greeted. We even got out of the car and knocked on the window, but remained ignored.

My chicken was cold!!! My drink had 2 ice cubes in it. Fries warm but not salted! So sad because I was craving these chicken fries so badly!

If I could less than 1 star I would… Hands down the worst Burger King I have ever been to. Slow service and crappy food!

Do NOT go here! Very poor service. Got my order and the order before mine. I think the Worker was high and after asking the lady for my order, she laughed and said «that’s not from burger king» but clearly was on the menu above her head. I am very upset with this place and would reccomend that no one ever goes here. No wonder the place was empty. HORRIBLE!

Every time go there our order is always wrong. I asked for no cheese on 4 burgers and all 4 burger had cheese on them. I understand places make mistakes but dang every single time! This last time I got home and realized the burgers were wrong and at that time I couldn’t go back because the location is horrible because of traffic. As far as service they ladies at the window were very nice.

Transients use this place as a hub to kick up their feet. In 30 minutes atleast 5 came through to lounge, rummage through the rubbish, and steal drinks from the soda fountains. Food was typical burger king– no complaints at all. Staff blew. There was a 2 for 5 bucks deal going on, but still the girl behind the register charged me full price for 2 sandwiches. On top of that she told me that the A1 Bacon Chesse Burger was the biggest sandwich on the menu when clearly the DBL Whopper was (my honey got the DBL Whopper.) Not that it really mattered, but those inattention to details urke me. Staff needs training, and something has to be done about the transients.

Went to the drive thru around 11:30pm with the boyfriend to get late night dinner and milkshakes but they had turned off their ice cream machine by the time we got there so no milkshakes for us. :T It might have been because the place was closing at midnight, but that still sucked because I was craving a milkshake so bad lol.
I’m not a fan of this area because it is SO shady, but our guy was really nice. Food was made when ordered, hot and fresh. Can’t expect much from fast food restaurants, but there’s just something about Burger King and their onion rings… and I don’t even like onions. This is the only place where I’ll eat em lol.

Have you seen those commercials for «10 chicken chunks for $ 1.49»? You’re probably thinking, «How bad could they be?» or «For $ 1.49 they could be ‘not so hot’ and still worth it, right?» —-HELL TO THE «F» NO!!!
At first I wasn’t so sure they weren’t tearing this place down, turns out it’s a remodel in progress. I was greeted quickly enough and by someone with ½ a personality so there’s the 1 star. My order was up quick and I could hardly wait to taste those piping hot little chicken morsels. The first thing that troubled me was upon opening the honey mustard pack the contents looked either separated or curdled so I decided NOT to dip my chicken chunk. The second thing to bother me was the texture, «how many chicken anii does it take to make one of these?» After the first one you’d have to be crazy to eat another one, but I tried. It seemed a little more on line with what you’d expect from a TV dinner tray so down the hatch it went. The very next nugget made me gag and trust me that takes a lot to accomplish. All I could think about was all the plastic surgeons in San Diego throwing liposuction leftovers in a big vat that whirls, whips, and chicken flavors these NASTY bits before another machine stamp presses them into «Chic-​keen nuggers». I tossed the rest in the trash and left with my soda, trying to wash the taste away.

There were four things that bothered me on my first visit here. 1) The cashier had no sense of customer service — no greeting, no thank you, nothing — she just wanted to get through her shift and get the hell out 2) The random, irrelevant photos of cats or whatever hanging on the walls 3) A big olé brown spider running across the floor in front of the cashier area and 4) The employees seemed to be preoccupied with looking out for the homeless man outside the building. I think he had just come in earlier and they wanted to keep him out. I don’t see what the big deal is when there isn’t that many people sitting inside.
Don’t get me wrong, you can come by here and get your usual BK fix with no problems regarding your order. It’s just not a pleasant place to visit. I understand it’s a fast food joint, and on top of that it’s in Rosecrans, but that doesn’t mean the managers can’t do more to keep the place in better shape at least with its employees.

First time in San Diego. Came here for breakfast. It doesn’t take 25 minutes to make what u ordered.

The only reason I gave this place one star is because I had too! This place is disgusting, over cooked fish patties, close to burnt whopper, completely horrible. On the up side out onion rings were perfect. Smh.

As bad planning would have it, I was in a bind and this place is NEVER busy. How did I find this sneaky Burger King? The sign out front always has hilarious spellings for things. That’s why I check in here. I have to see what craziness is on the sign. But today, it was simply time to give the Big King a try.
This sandwich was like eating air. Really nothing to it. I wouldn’t consider it «big» or royal, by any means. And the fries are still horrible. The only good part is the fry container sits conveniently in my car’s cup holder, so when I get to the car wash I can chuck the fries in one clean swoop.

Apparently this location decides to stop making half of their breakfast menu 30 minutes before breakfast hours are over. Not to mention you must plan to be in line a minimum of 5 minutes per car. Employees are always rude and rarely speak enough English to communicate effectively. And please don’t bring your children as its the local hang out for the homeless. Prepare to have every person around the building stare you down for your food.

The thing you have to realize about the Rosecrans area is that there are sketchy and odd people hanging around everywhere. No matter what restaurant or coffee shop you go to they will be hanging outside or inside and brushing by you. That being said watch you wallet and pretty much order the chicken sandwich… probably the only thing I think is worth eating at BK. That’s not saying much.

So there’s nothing special about any Burger King. And I don’t expect anything special from Burger King. I do prefer them over McDonalds because they have a more diverse menu. But as long as In-​N-​Out and 5 Guys exist, the BK Lounge will never be my first choice.
BUT my wife enjoys their breakfast biscuits and their iced vanilla coffee. So it has become kind of a tradition to pick her up breakfast whenever I have duty on the weekends and come home in the morning. So it makes my wife happy, and that’s good enough for me.
I’ve never been inside, only through the drive-​thru, but I fully expect their bathrooms to be disgusting.

This location is listed as opening at 6. It’s 6:10 and they aren’t. Now… I know in So Cal time, 6 really means between 6 and 7, I’ve got places to be, things to do. My boss jumps down my throat if I’m 5 minutes late to work, Godforbid I was 10!
The employees are generally really nice and my food is always hot. Not much to complain about there.

Do not eat here! I wanted some oatmeal and was craving some French toast on my day off so I decided to stop by. The lady took my money, then with the same hands moved a garbage can out of the way, and used those same hands to pick out my French toast sticks, but not before she scratched her ass with the food bag in hand!!! Then she made my oatmeal which I opened up and was all water with some flakes floating around. Hell no I was not going to eat this after I just saw all this happen!!! And I got no receipt. I went inside and asked for my money back nervously. A different person took my bag and quietly said, «sorry about that.»
Seriously, they do not know how to handle food properly, and any kind of cleanliness or etiquette is clearly not taught either. Disgusting.
The only thing I got out of it was a clean house.. cleaned like a mad woman when I got home because all I could think about was their uncleanliness!!!

All I wanted was a regular cup of tap water. So I ordered something but they only would give me a tiny cup unless I paid full soda price… So I cancelled my order and paid 1.89 for a regular cup of ice water.
Badness.

This location has gone downhill over the years. It used to be pretty decent about 5 to 8yrs ago but last night I went there and it was taken over by 20+ homeless people just camping out chillin at different tables. literally hanging out in the entry way blocking the entry. they basically are running the place. Not eating. I feel for them having few places they can go to without being turned away but really the dining area should be reserved for customers.
I got my food to go. The food was still good. Same old Burger King.
People haning out in the drive-​thru as well. no thanks, I’ll be bypassing this location from now on. The interior décor is shot to hell as well. stains on the walls and just not kept up very well. It definitely needs a remodel/​touch up.
