Carmel Valley Pharmacy

After reading the reviews, I just went to this pharmacy for the first time and it really was excellent! I’d been going to CVS previously and dealing with very long wait times and a lot of inconsistency. This was the exact opposite. The customer service is amazing, my prescription was ready around 10 times faster than at CVS and it was a much more comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend this pharmacy!

I absolutely love, love this pharmacy. It’s close to my home but best of all, they have the best customer service. The staff is very knowledgable and so pleasant to work with. I really appreciate them calling to remind me when my medication is coming up for a refill. I will never go to a chain pharmacy again, unless I desperately need to. Oh, and they have the cutest and most unique gifts.

I love this place! Such a refreshing change from chain pharmacies or even Vons pharmacy where I am generally happy with their service but is always so busy. At Carmel Valley Pharmacy they can literally fill prescriptions on the spot while you wait for a few minutes. And the store is lovely with lots of cool gift ideas and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Awesome and feels like a real return to excellent, simple customer service.

This is hands down the best pharmacy I have been to in San Diego. It reminds me of the country pharmacy that I would go to when growing up. I take a drug that is quite rare and therefore you may have to wait a day for them to get it in for your initial prescription, however after that they will likely have it in stock for you when your prescription needs re-​filling. That has certainly been my experience. When you go in to fill a normal prescription your wait will only be 10 minutes. Nothing like CVS making you wait an hour.
I can’t recommend this pharmacy highly enough. Their customer service is second to none.

Everyone who works there has been wonderful. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The pharmacists actually remember you and give you personalized advise. I would pay more to use them, but I haven’t had to yet.

I received the most wonderful customer service that I have ever received from a pharmacy. The pharmacist was extremely knowledgeable and caring and the whole staff was very friendly and helpful. They even offered my son a coloring book while he waited. It is rare to find a place with such outstanding customer service from all of the staff members and I really appreciate it!

Amazing place. Excellent service. Knowledgeable staff.
Any place that cares for its customers — gets a 5 star. The folks were able to special order my vitamins supply and ping me when it arrived a couple of days later. If you have been using pharmacy chains like RiteAid, CVS et al, I suggest that you try this place out. You will love the experience. RiteAid and CVS missed my refill schedules often and blamed it on my doctor’s office. It used to take me more than a couple of visits to CVS to get my refills. Not so at Carmel Valley Pharmacy. You get a call a week in advance of the refill due date, to get a confirmation. A couple of days later, you get a call that it is ready.
Pricing: I marked it inexpensive to mean «i don’t care a whole lot’. I am sure for most things, you can find a cheaper option on the net; not necessarily a better one. So… YMMV.

Friendly, knowledgable, caring, professional, 3 doors down from my work, no lines, reminder calls for refills… I can go on and on. You will not regret switching from those other «pill mills» to this neighborhood gem!

I started getting my pet medications here because it is so much cheaper than getting it from my vet — compound medication. Tarek and staff are all very friendly and helpful. Reminders are a real nice gesture as well.

I decided to switch over to this pharmacy mainly because I was tired of long lines, waiting times and the ball being dropped on getting my prescriptions several times at CVS. Consumer Reports ran an article and survey results about pharmacies, and I’ve been looking for a mom and pop place ever since. Now I have none of the above problems. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable, much more helpful than at CVS, even with finding better prices. They are a compounding pharmacy, which is a plus, too. Even the parking situation is better, and they do home delivery for a very reasonable price, too.

What a nice welcome to the Carmel Valley community! I attended the grand opening event back in February and had a great time meeting the staff and checking out the goodies for sale at this pretty pharmacy. For the record, I don’t plan on getting my prescriptions filled here since my health insurance through Kaiser doesn’t allow it. No big deal, but I love, love, love the merchandise they sell at CV Pharmacy since they sell so many cute things that I like and all under one roof.
The parking lot in this strip mall is a whole lot tolerable to deal with, so I’m glad they didn’t open up in Del Mar Highlands right behind its location or I’d be inclined to go only when I’m in need of a last minute gift.
I love the soy candles they sell here. I burn candles often at home because I like our home smelling nice and as crazy as this may sound, it works as a stress reliever when I smell nicely scented candles at home. We bought the strawberry mint soy candle and I love how it makes our bedroom so fragrant. I don’t like it when the fragrance is so strong where it gives me a headache, but the soy candles sold here are perfect.
My hubby also bought me this pretty, colorful infinity scarf here. I wore it to a Super Bowl Party the next day and received a lot of compliments on it. I plan on returning back soon since Mother’s Day will be here before you know it and I can get my sister-​in-​law one since she really liked mine, lol. They’re only twenty dollars too, so it’s a good deal for something that’s so pretty.
Overall, this is a great new pharmacy that I hope will flourish in the coming years. They take pride in their ten minute service to get a prescription filled, so I wouldn’t be surprised if more residents living in Carmel Valley and Del Mar move their prescriptions here than going to the local Vons, Rite-​Aid and CVS stores. Support the small businesses that are trying to do good in this crazy world and buy a candle during your short wait for your prescription.

After standing in the pharmacy line at Vons for more than 10 minutes, with no progress toward the counter, I decided I was done with the big pharmacies. It wasn’t even the wait that bothered me, it was the fact that no one seemed to care that 5 of us were waiting. I decided then and there to try Carmel Valley Pharmacy. I went in the next day and they prepared my prescriptions in minutes. They were also extremely helpful and nice. They have a lot of cute things in the store, too. I really hope they are successful, because it’s seems like they’ll be a great addition to the community.

What a great surprise to find this family-​run pharmacy! They got my prescription done correctly and quickly. Such a welcome escape from the big name guys where I always have to wait forever with sick kids in tow. Super nice pharmacist and staff. Really nice gift section too– great spot to grab a hostess gift. Love their card selection. I’m really excited this place opened up locally!
