This place is the best auto body shop I’ve ever used! Last weekend some idiot knocked or kicked off my side mirror. After calling around to the dealership and Pep Boys… I thought I’d call the auto body shop across the street from my house. Carrillo’s! David was my estimator, not only did he quote me a lower rate than his competitors, but he walked over to my house (across the street) and help me take of the broken mirror. That’s customer service! David had to order my mirror and told me when it would be in… I thought it prob would be longer due to my experience with other auto body shops, but nope! It was there the exact day, it was the exact amount he told me and Carrillo’s even mounted my mirror for free!!! Everyone here was so nice and honest. If you need a part, body work done or a quote, try Carrillo’s! Trust me you’ll be glad you did!

I had some superficial surface damage on the roof of my 2013 Honda Civic that really bothered me. I dropped it off at Carrillo’s the night before and picked it up after work the following day. Not only was the surface as good as original, my car was washed and interior vacuumed. What?! It took them longer to wash the car than it did to fix the surface. We live just around the corner from Carrillo’s and try to conduct our business within the neighborhood as much as possible. If you are in the Normal Heights or University Heights areas, there’s no need to travel further than you own backyard when seeking car care or body work. Thanks very much to David and Mario.

Tony Carrillo (the owner) was very concerned about my experience and ended up dropping by my house to take a look at the car and see what could have happened. After our conversation, he even offered to buff out some scratches free of charge and help touch up the part of the car that was damaged. I’ve been too busy to take advantage of his kind offer, but it’s exceedingly clear to me that he cares a lot about his customers and that my initial experience was an anomaly.

We had some minor damage from being rear ended. Carrillo’s was on the list of places provided by State Farm. The car was fixed very fast, I dropped it off Monday morning and picked it up Tuesday afternoon. Not only did they fix the bumper in that short time, but they repaired a broken door latch and detailed the car as well. It looks amazing inside and out! When I picked my kids up at daycare the 3 year old said «Is our car new?»
Service was awesome. Paula and Hector were super helpful and professional. Everything was paid through insurance, and the staff at Carrillo’s made the whole process so easy. When I dropped off my car they called Enterprise to pick me up to go get the rental. I waited a few minutes in the clean, comfortable waiting room and had some of their fresh brewed coffee while I waited.
I will totally return for any future car repair or maintenance, and I will confidently recommend them to my friends and family.

Wow! what a great experience. These guys really know their trade. I ran over a tire and damaged my new car. THey were recommended by my dealer and am extremely happy with their work. I live in La Mesa and they were located just a few blocks away, what a deal. THey took only 6 days to complete the job. They also hand washed my car, it looks like a great detail job. Thanks alot, this was my first experience with them and I will recommend them to everyone I know. Oh, they worked with my insurance and enterprise rental cars in a seamless manner. I expected to have it in the shop for at least two weeks, all done in 6 days. It runs fantastic!

I was delighted with the kind, friendly, and excellent service I received from Hector and others at Carrillo’s Auto Body Shop on Adams Avenue. They quickly and inexpensively repaired some minor damage to my car after a truck hit the car and tore off part of the front grate. I will not hesitate to use them again if I need any auto body repair or detailing. Thank you, Carrillo’s!

Let me start by saying I will never recommend this place to anybody. My car got into an accident and this was one of the places that my insurance recommend and I said ok since the reviews on Unilocal were so good. Well to begin with it was so hard to get in contact with Hector. The receptionist said she would let him know I called and I had to call back 3x before I got a hold of him to schedule an appointment. They said my car would be ready in so many days and it wasn’t it took longer than what they told me. When my car was returned to me it didn’t come back as I left it. A scratch on the bumper that was noticeable and needed to be painted. One good thing I can say is Hector said to bring the car back so we can paint the bumper for you.

The body of our car is destroyed. We like to joke that the peeling paint looks «cool», like a distressed piece of furniture, but it does not look cool at all.
Our car’s paint job was compromised by over buffing when our car was cleaned by Carrillo’s.
We had our car repaired by them after it was t-​boned. Not only did the repairs take twice the time they estimated (3 weeks turned into 6 weeks), but we had to pay for additional days on a car rental due to repairs taking over a month! To add insult to injury, our car came back with visible scratch marks through the topcoat into the paint. To be more specific, the paint where they did repairs was fine, it was the topcoat over the rest of the car that was stripped. A few weeks later the paint began to flake off and continues to every time we wash the car, or it rains. Really take your car anywhere else to have it repaired or washed.

I was in 2 car accidents this past year. One resulted in that car being a total loss. The guys at Carrillo’s were extremely honest and said they could have repaired it, but due to the nature of the accident damage, it wouldn’t have been safe if it was involved in another accident. They could have easily taken my money but they were concerned with my safety. This made me really trust them… and I DID get in another accident a few months after!
My second accident was a minor fender bender. Hector Rodriguez was very professional and explained everything that was involved in the repair of my vehicle. He even mentioned that Hertz could drop me off once I return my rental car — I didn’t know that, and probably would have spent money on a Lyft if he didn’t tell me that! The repair took less than 48 hours AND they even washed and detailed the inside of my car!
I will definitely return to Carrillo’s for any repairs in the future. They are a great, honest business with a top notch staff. I hope they stay in the neighborhood for years to come!

About a decade ago, Carrillo’s did some work on my Lexus that someone backed a large van into. They did fantastic work then, and the great service continues today. I took my Toyota there recently to get body work done and the service from David was very good. He was friendly and courteous. He explained what they needed to do, and he gave me an estimate of time that it would take. He followed up with me with a phone call to keep me informed of the status of my car repairs and I appreciated that. He indicated that he had been in touch with my insurance company and that they were in the loop on all involved in my car’s repairs.
When I went to pickup my fixed vehicle, it was quite busy. Even though it was busy the owner, Tony Carrillo, greeted me and the Hertz rental car driver who dropped me off kindly and he asked the front desk staff to get us taken care of. What a legacy San Diego Business Carrillo’s is and I appreciate being able to still count on them to deliver great customer service.
My car came out perfectly and I was happy with the results. My car looks better than it did before I took it in, considerably.

They do an incredible job. Took my cars here many times, and am always kept informed and the final job is perfect every time. The staff is top notch and it seems like they really care about the customer. The painter took extra time to make sure the job was perfect. The door now closes like it did when it came from the factory, or probably much better than it did. Recently, my bumper began to rust, and they totally rechromed it at no cost. There was an issue on the last time I had my car painted, and Tony Carrillo totally came through and stood behind his shop’s work. He is a stand up guy. Highly recommended.

Carrillo’s Auto Body Repair Shop gives you excellent service. September was a great month for me until the 19th, got distracted observing men working on the side of the street and had a fender bender. Insurance recommended Carrillo’s. From the moment I entered the lobby office, personnel greetings were polite and curteous. Hector Rodriguez was assigned to my car needs and cordially assisted. Service was just outstanding, honest, I’m not being paid for this, I just want to show my graditude. Carrillo’s Auto Body Repair Shop on Adams Street knock the ball out the park. The work was completed when promised and they aim to please. KODOS to all the personnel. I highly recommend this shop. Very satisfied.

Okay so this please is by far SPOT ON. My insurance (State Farm) recommended them to me and they always have lots of business and they matched my Toyota Matrix paint exactly because they use dealership factory paint the quality and the work is amazing I can’t even compare to the previous place I went to because the work Carrillos did was so good and they went out of their way to detail me car and clear paint another door out of courtesy because they care about their customers. I appreciate Hector and the other guy I forgot his name it started with a M but they were so nice and treated me so well and made sure my car was nice and clean when I came to pick it up here are some before and after pictures.

I’ve been a Callillo’s Auto Body customer for at least 15 years. So much to say.
The workmanship there is second to none, and the skill level at their shops always surpass my expectations.
I always have a tricky job for them to do, and I am one PICKY guy when it comes to my cars. EXTREMELY picky. My cars have always been black cars and trucks, and they always come back flawless.
Carrillo’s has done everything from complete vehicle accident reconstruction, to doing amazing detail jobs (10000x better than any car wash is capable of) They are one class act.
Thank you to the entire staff, JOB WELL DONE! AGAIN!

Hector and everyone at Carrillos did an AMAZING job on my car. They go above and beyond excellent service. I had minor damage due to a hit and run they ordered the parts and got the car in and taken for quickly. Not only did they do the work but they detail the inside and exterior of the car before you pick it up. My car looks like
It’s brand new! Highly recommend them! I’ll be back should I ever have another accident or for a detail at the bare minimum. I’ll be telling everyone about them.
