Specialties
We are interior/exterior designers in San Diego california. Our design is often inspired from nature and due to our french heritage, our living spaces are not only practical but have a worldly feel.
We handcraft most of the pieces we incorporate in our clients projects which includes furniture, lighting, art pieces or soft furnishings.
We have four great obsessions: contemporary, Scandinavian, natural and industrial design.
There is a constant tension between the four in everything we design whether it is a product or an interiors.
Our design goes beyond being just efficient, attractive, on time and on budget. We make it a priority to ensure that we have a positive effect on the environment while achieving these goals. We make a commitment to always try to find ways to preserve the world around us. We help to evaluate your project, and work with you to develop and meet your desired outcomes. As interior designers, we ensure not only the creation, but also the achievement of the work.
History
Established in 2012.
In 2012 Charlypoppins was born. My neighbor Steven Cooper, a pastor and father of four kids, came to me one day looking for somebody to help him build a deck in his backyard. We made a deal that in exchange for my help building his deck, he would allow me to borrow his tools so I could start making pieces and work on designing living spaces.
Because of a lack of financial resources, I had to be creative to get my supplies. Most of the wood and materials I used I found in the streets and outside of warehouses.
During the first year of Charlypoppins I traded most of my work for tools to create my workshop.
In 2013, my mother decided to move to San Diego, and we began our collaboration, taking Charlypoppins to another level.
My ability to build and see the limitless possibilities in other people’s trash, combined with her drawing, sewing, painting and architectural skills, complement each other as harmoniously as a symphony to a ballet.

Business Owner
I was born and raised in Provence in the south of France, with my mother, an artist and art professor.
She created and managed art schools for over twenty years.
Throughout my entire childhood, I was constantly surrounded by creative energy.
Our home was an endlessly morphing piece of art, and whether I was sitting in on my mother’s classes, traveling through Europe visiting extraordinary art exhibits, or making costumes with my grandmother, I developed a great love of and fascination with all things to do with art.
For about three years I lived abroad, traveling and working in Europe, the Caribbean, and New York were I was exposed to architectural wonders, sumptuous resorts and restaurants, breathtaking galleries and museums.
All of these experiences for me are like sorting a virtual filing cabinet in my head with beautiful things, textures, colors, patterns and styles. But most of all, it is the spirit that I get from these experiences that I imbue with all of my projects.
