I walked out before ordering! I’m looking the menu and the woman comes up to take my order then hawks up gross and spits it in the trash can, doesn’t bend over nothing just stands over trash can right in front of me! I almost threw up on the spot. If they do that in front of me I can only imagine what they do in the back. The worst thing I’ve ever seen in a restaurant! No thank u!!!

Called to order on the phone twice and the hostess hung up on me both times. Not very friendly with questions being asked. I have beaten in house here before and their food was pretty good but service is questionable. We chose to divert from eating here due to the dissatisfactory service.

I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in San Diego for a long time. Today I found just what I’ve been looking for! I ordered fried rice,(with the sweet and sour chicken combo) and vegetable lo mein. My food was hot and fresh and delicious. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. This will now be my go-to place for Chinese food for sure.

I originally gave this place one star because they messed up my order on several occasions. Since then, I’ve gone back a few more times and they’ve corrected that problem. I would rate this place higher but still they’re inconsistent. Sometimes I get fortune cookies, soy sauce, and utensils when I take out, and sometimes I don’t. I think the food is good, the quantity is great, and the prices are cheap. All in all this is a pretty good local Chinese place. They’re better at making Chinese food than being business owners. I would recommend this place but also suggest that you check your order.

I’m still recovering from pneumonia. I took a bus to get here and back. The kind bus driver decided to skip my bus stop and I had to huff and puff my way up a huge hill to get home. I was leaning against the wall, cursing myself, by the time I made it through the door. Total time took about 30 minutes. And I would totally do it again. Why? I ordered an orange chicken combo. By the time I ordered the container, I was expecting something cold and disgusting. Nope. My food was still warm! In fact, my egg roll was too hot to bite into! What is this sorcery and how can I perfect it the next time I have a dinner party?! The cream cheese wonton was absolutely define and I don’t even like cream cheese wontons very much. For about $ 7, you get a huge(and I mean huge) serving of food. What more can you ask for? Gotta say, the lady who works the front is so no nonsense and emotionless that it kind of feels like the Chinese places in the IE. Each time I’ve stopped by, I’ve had to wait a couple of minutes for her to finish talking to someone on the phone or at the restaurant. Honestly, never been treated this way before. But, meh. Food is food and I like me some cheap food.

Love love the food here! Advice would be to call 20 mins in advance to not wait too long for food if it is take out. The hand cut noodles are the best! Definitely recommend this place for authentic tasting Chinese food!

I was in the mood for take out wonton soup and decided on China QuikWok. I have been going to this place for years and always enjoy the food. I ordered a large wonton which is enough to feed a family of three. The broth is flavorful but not salty packed with snow peas, mushrooms, carrots cabbage, chicken, shrimp and wontons. This is a family favor that is enjoyed at least every two weeks.

Great lunch specials large portions setting is simple but the food is great very much like an old school Chinese café I have eaten at over seas.

The ambience is non-existent but this has got to be my favorite place to get Beef & Broccoli. I haven’t had anything else here and it doesn’t matter. When I want a bomb-ass plate of Beef & Broccoli with fried rice, I come here. The lunch combo is cheap and you get a pretty large portion. The one thing that rubs me the wrong way is that when you order a lunch combo, it’s supposed to come with egg flower soup, but the lady will not bring you any unless you specifically tell her you want some. Half the time, they’re out of it and when they do have it, it’s literally frozen soup that’s microwaved. Other than that, if you want some awesome American-style super flavorful Beef & Broccoli, come here!

I dont like the fact they have one size of a order of anything. What chinese place dont have chicken wings. They dont cater to there customers with as easy as making combo plates vs goving choice but to order a entire plate of something. They deliver only within 3 mile radius.

I love this place because it is a real Chinese restaurant. It made me feel like I’m in China. You should come and try handmade noodles.

Yeah, realized I was being a huge snob when I was rating their food. This is a takeout joint, not some fancy restaurant. The lunch specials are cheap and give large portions, and their hand cut noodles aren’t bad. All the food is cheap and filling, exactly what you expect from a Chinese takeout place. Probably the best take out joint in SD now that I think about it.

This place is pretty good. The orange chicken is delicious with just enough spice. The garlic shrimp was mediocre; it didn’t have enough flavor. I prefer the beef and broccoli over the shrimp. I don’t really like the parking. It’s in a shared business center with limited parking spaces so I recommend doing carry-out. This was our second time here and will definitely come again.

We’ve been eating there for a while and I finally had to share our feelings about this place. First off, the food is good. Have not had anything that we did not like. The service however needs serious improvement. Number 1 rule with this place: DONOTCALLINANORDER. Seriously, just don’t because they will not make it until you get there. What is the point of calling ahead? Last night was just a bad night at the restaurant. Yet again, they quote me 20 minutes, I get there at 25 and they still have not made my food. Then they ran out of the pancakes for my MuShu Chicken and offer me no replacement or discount, just tell me to take my food and a small«sorry». The older lady who works there scared me yesterday with her sanitation habits. She touched many things… Food, Money, Plates and never once washed her hands in between. Good thing I saw the male make my food or I would have bolted.

Yesterday we needed a lazy dinner treat and have never tried China Wok despite it being in our neighborhood. We tried the General Tso Chicken, Mu Shu vegetable, vege egg rolls and got our food to go. The young man at the register was very helpful and polite. The shop looked nice and clean. The General Tso’s was sweet, tangy and crunchy. The Mu Shu was fresh and had a good flavor but I disliked how the egg in it was tiny pebble like pieces. It was kind of an odd texture mixed in with the great veges. I think there was supposed to be hoisin or plum sauce on the side, but there was none in the take out bag. The oddest thing is the Mu Shu wrappers looked/tasted very much like Mexi-American flour tortillas. The vege egg-rolls had a slight Chinese Mustard aftertaste which was unexpected but not bad, but the veges inside were a bit over cooked. Overall we enjoyed everything. It was the delicious American Chinese food we desired. Now what I would really like is for someone to translate the secret Chinese menu so I can order off that. Knife shaved hong king style noodles is the next thing we are going to try.

I just found this place three days ago … And I’ve eaten here for three days straight lol. The dish that definitely got me coming back was their 9.99 $ honey walnut shrimp. Holy crap … THEPORTIONWASHUGE! They are definitely not stingy with the size or the amount of shrimp. The second time was with my boyfriend and he got hooked instantly too. This is a hole-in-the-wall so don’t expect great customer service— I came for the food and that was all I was expecting for; good food at a cheap price. Definitely a frequent customer now !

I was craving hot and sour soup and googled the closest Chinese restaurant and this place popped up. I’ve walked by it numerous times but today was the day I actually went in! Its a small place, reminds me of a taco shop — minimal decorations, bench seating, and a counter with a cash register. Nothing fancy, but that’s a good thing! I saw the soup on the menu — small for $ 5.99 or a large for $ 9.99. I wasn’t thrilled on the price so I decides to go with the lunch specials. I ordered kung pao chicken for $ 5.99. This meal comes with egg flower soup, wonton, and rice(I upgraded to noodles for $ 1+). As you can see in my picture, the portions are huge! The portion sizes are very generous for the price. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the hot and soup soup I was craving but I got a lot of other goodies instead! This place is good, still need to explore more Chinese restaurants to be able to compare, but I would come back here again and try something new!

I really really wanted to love this place. After all, they are one of the only places in town with hand cut noodles. You know, those thick doughy noodles stir fried to perfection? These aren’t it. They weren’t well cooked and they were over sauced. And the ambiance. Not so much. Looks like a corner taco shop without the flavor profile. And the service. Meh! She was sorta rude! Probably won’t be going out of my way to eat there again!

Exceeded expectations in all the wrong ways. I expect rudeness at hole in the wall Chinese places, adds character. This lady is just awful. There are more English words than«no!». I like my food salty. This is over the top. Everything was meh. Flavors are ok but completely drowned out by the salt content. Don’t expect delivery to work out. Head to nearby Noble Chef when they reopen after their remodel for similar hole in the wall greasy Chinese takeout, yet much better food service.
