Description

Specialties

Come mellow out and grind some fresh, made-from-scratch island-style cuisine. We have plenty of craft beers and tropical flavored mimosas that pair well with our delicious grilled meats. Of course we make kalua pork, which we slow cook in pineapple juice and just the right amount of sea salt.

We have our sweet and juicy huli huli chicken, teriyaki steak, fresh fish of the day, and more. We also have great vegetarian options, like our teriyak portobello mushroom burger, tofu stirfry, and our «grass skirt» sandwich with grilled veggies. I look forward to serving you some ono-kine grinds and talking story!

We also offer catering!

History

Established in 2009.

Ono Grinds officially began at a rock n’ roll show in the dessert in the fall of 2009. I made my friends kalua pork sandwiches and they were blown away. I didn’t have a job at the time, but I love to cook and had a lot of restaurant experience, and I had a buddy who sold food at farmers’ markets. Why not, I thought… My girl friend and I began selling pork sandwiches at our first farmers’ market booth at Scripps Ranch in the Fall of 2009. We eventually got a couple more booths throughout the week at different markets. Then the catering began, and it was time to get our own restaurant. Now we’re living happily ever after in a lovely business park in Grantville. The End… or is it just the beginning?!!

Business Owner

Aloha! I was born and raised in Hawaii and love Hawaiian style food. I’ve been cooking my whole life and finally took the leap in 2009 to open my own catering company. We started off doing farmers markets and opened our restaurant in July of 2011. The response has been great so far, and I’m stoked about that! I hope to meet you here for some ono grinds and brew soon…
