One thing I would like to disclose is I am a real estate agent here in San Diego and I hold everyone I work with to a very high standard being in the business myself and Christian did not disappoint me at all. I can not say enough positive things about Christian. He was recommended by my agent and the experience was miles beyond anyone else I have ever worked with. I have financed cars and houses with «big box» banks in the past but after working with Christian I will never go back. He is always reachable, even on the weekends, and turns things around in a very efficient and easy manner for the borrower. In addition, he had me ready to close escrow early and got me a great rate compared to other lenders.

Wow! I don’t even know where to begin! I used Christian and CMG from one of three recommendations provided to me by my agent. My husband and I are both Veterans and had gone with a VA specific company to begin with; however, wanted to shop around. Am I glad I did! Christian is warm, kind individual and it came across in our initial conversation. Furthermore, I called on a Friday, on my way home from work! Not only did he help me get all the required paperwork accomplished over the weekend, but he answered (patiently) all my questions as a first time buyer. Christian’s compassion for his job and his desire to help led me to sever ties with the VA company and primarily work with him. He worked all times of the day/​night and had conditional approval by Monday. The process was entirely fluid, and when I worried, Christian was there to reassure me. My family and I cannot thank him enough! I will only use Christian for mortgage needs from here on out. If he moves, I will follow him!
In a nutshell, if you want someone that will provide you with superior service, you won’t get anyone better than Christian. We consider him a friend, although (unfortunately), we never met him in person. He will ensure your process is efficient (we closed in 3 weeks), and hold third parties accountable. He will even call after the fact to ensure you love your new house.
Stop wasting your time and go with Christian! You won’t be sorry; as a matter of fact, you’ll be beyond impressed!

As first time homebuyers my fiancé and I were extremely nervous about the whole process, especially hearing about how stressful it can be. Our initial VA home loan was with Chase bank and they stunk. Had to fill out every form 2 – 3 times, never returned calls and closed weeks late! So when it was time to re-​fi a friend provided me with Christian’s info. From the moment we spoke to the day we closed, everything went smoothly. i have to say dealing with Christian was AMAZING. He was always quick with his updates on progress i never had any questions as to what step was next or how long would i have to wait. My wife, 3yr old, 2yr old, and I moved to San Diego from Guam. To say that the move was dynamic and difficult would be an understatement. We were put up in a hotel and off on our immediate home search. The very second house we looked at we fell in love with but kept looking just to get a sense of what was available. We didn’t wait long and decided to just go for the one we loved so much in the first place. I was utilizing a VA loan and had already been pre approved by a different mortgage company. As CMG Financial is more advertised by word of mouth and great reviews, we did not find out about them while we were looking at homes online from Guam. Regardless of that fact we were introduced to CMG as a preferred lender for the sellers agency. Christian griffin was my loan officer and worked tirelessly to show my family how choosing to go with him over the company I was already working with would be a better decision financially and for ease of mind. He was only helpful. I say that meaningfully. He was not pushy; he heard, listened to, and answered all of our questions as first time home buyers, and he effectively put us at ease (through actions, not just words). My realtor was not the kind of helper that I expected. She is a great person but I needed more of a mentor on how the process should be going than simply a paperwork pusher. I literally ended up calling Christian with questions regarding the negotiations between me and the seller! Completely non standard but completely welcome if you ask me. He gave me 10 times more insight on the home buying process than my realtor did.
Here’s a piece of information that will blow your mind. We closed on a VA loan in less than 21 days from putting the offer in. The other company laughed over the phone to me when I told them what CMG was expecting for closing timeframe. They said it was impossible and completely out of the mortgage company’s control. Christian proved them wrong. It happened. We recorded on Friday afternoon on the 21^st day and it saved me hundreds in hotel costs.
Let me put it bluntly. Even though the other company I was pre approved by was and still is a very respectable and good company that had put 2.5 months of work in for me, they were literally unable to match not only the efforts and direct support from Christian, but even the rate and terms of my loan blew the bigger company away. I would have been a fool not to choose to work with Christian and his company and I am happy to still be working with them to this day. I even got some tax bill information months after closing the loan that I wasn’t sure about and when I called my realtor for an explanation she told me to look it up online. I called Christian and not only did he explain it accurately immediately but even pulled up my tax file online, freeze framed it, sent it to me via email, and gave me all of the information I needed to be able to access it on my own. Above and beyond.
