With a knowledge and passion for printed materials, and a shared love for the craft of quality book binding, Clearstory custom book publishing was founded on the principle that the creation of library-​quality books should be available and customized by anyone.

From professional quality photo books and artist portfolio books to cookbooks and poetry books, we provide unmatched photo and print quality output, as well as book design services, ensuring your story is told vividly and beautifully.

We are located in San Diego, California, and all of our book printing is done in-​house by custom book printers at our state-​of-​the-​art digital printing facility, for the ultimate quality control.

History

Established in 2010.

There is a strong desire for visual storytelling. Since 2005 the marketplace had seen a growing appetite for treasured keepsakes — the richly personalized books that honor family and individuals’ milestones in text and images.

However, there are issues preventing its real fulfillment. People’s enthusiasm is undermined by overlong timeframes, disappointing paper quality, and the complex process of creating the books.

Even with the evolution of software that simplifies the creation cycle and tackles some of the more arduous elements, the quality of the finished print product remains an issue.

But at Clearstory we’ve addressed these issues and offer a sophisticated photo book via a simple to use yet elegant design.

Debara is a successful entrepreneur and founder of several companies. Her most recent company, Clearstory in San Diego, serves the consumer self-​publishing and photo book industry as well as businesses such as Gift and Stationery retailers, Professional Photographers, Graphic Designers, Architects, Law Firms, etc.

With Debara’s early years working for a high tech company, she knows how to bring innovation to the offerings — you dream it, we make it.
