I’m giving this 5 stars because the food is delicious and my absolute favorite server is Kevin. He is funny and I believe gives great customer service. We have gone to coco’s quit a bit the last few months so he already knows which creamer to bring with our coffee and he already knows we take a little longer to order our food(mainly because I’m indecisive about what I want to eat). He even knows what style eggs I like which is great. This is my favorite breakfast spot, so I have to give major credit to the chefs as well.

I’m not a big fan of these chain diners to be honest, but I came here as part of a large group of close to 40 people and was impressed with how well they handled everything. Naturally, the majority of the group trickled in late. It took over 40 minutes before our lone server, Jessica, was able to begin taking food orders. In the meantime she kept the group supplied with water and other beverages. She was friendly and efficient. Some people were more demanding than others, but she took it all in stride. One member of our group was deaf, she handled this with grace. We were given a private room, which was nice because it got loud! The room wasn’t large and the tables were arranged in two long rows, making it difficult for Jessica to get through while serving, but she didn’t seem to mind. I was impressed with how fast the kitchen was able to get everyone’s orders out so that pretty much everybody ate together at the same time, except for a couple late stragglers. I wasn’t feeling well, so I didn’t actually order any food. I had been sick most of the week, but my little guy and his bestie ordered breakfast and chicken strips and shared. They said the food was good. They also pulverized an entire bread basket between the two of them and asked for a second, kids. The service was great, very attentive despite it being chaotic. Jessica kept on top of things even with all of the many demands she was getting at once. I had the feeling when I cashed out that people don’t tip very well normally when I left twice the bill as my tip. That’s too bad.

The food was good but the service sucked more than a hooker on a good night. Our server lupita seemed new and overwhelmed with work. It began with incorrect drinks, and staggered food delivery. My dad was close to finishing his food and still no toast. Lupita brought our receipt before we got a chance and or were given the option of ordering desert. Although the kids were looking forward to it, we’d rather go else where and get this over with.

Sorry to write a bad review but this was so bad that I had, the food was terrible. The potatoes were still hard and raw, the fresh fruit is cantaloupe and melon only even when they were advertising a strawberry fest and no strawberries. Server brought my toast out way before the food came out like a toast appetizers? Poached eggs were over cooked not runny at all, it all tasted gross, except the toast, orange juice and the cherry, those the some how managed to not screw up. The cooks were terrible. I’ve worked in this industry in the kitchen and a server. That was awful I’ll never go to a Cocos. My 8 year old made better food for me on father’s day.

I give it 4 stars because we got what we were searching for. Inexpensive a little disorganized I don’t know how many waiters or waitresses we had that we had wonderful host, a young man that ran around and was very efficient. As well as all the other waitresses and Waiters. Steak and eggs are good gluten free pancakes yummy! And then had to get a pie to go!

Tip to moms: this Coco’s is not baby friendly. Restaurant had three high chairs, and all three of them were broken. I left, I’m not willing to endanger my 11 month old daughter for mediocre food. This is especially unacceptable for what is supposed to be a family restaurant. Management, you’d be better off throwing your highchairs out rather than offering dangerous seating to young children. Totally irresponsible.

Coco’s is still in business! Waiter Kevin is the best. He is courteous and very attentive. The breakfast was average. If you want great service and decent food this is the place.

Coco’s is the regional chain equivalent to Perkins /Mare Callender’s. Which means, breakfast will be available all day and there’s an emphasis on baked items such as muffins and pies. That’s all fine by me. As far as casual dining goes, this place did everything right. We were promptly seated, the coffee arrived right away, and our order was as requested and came out very quickly. I wet with one of the«healthy» pancake combo options, and it held its own. The baby enjoyed her little plate of eggs and fruit. The coffee was pretty good for an American chain. I had several cups. Also went with a slice of pecan pie(don’t judge me) which was also on point. If I could find one complaint about this location, it’s that the front door(the only entrance) is too far removed from the parking area. It can get brutally windy and cold in this area — someone should get control of that door.

The worst restaurant experience I’ve probably ever had in recent memory. I’ve never gone somewhere where 1. The waitress refuses to even see if you can mix and match 2. You are continually referred to as sweetie and the waitress thinks she has a right to touch you. 0 stars as far as I’m concerned. I only gave one star because I had to otherwise I would’ve given 0 stars.

Im not usually a fan of American Franchise Breakfast Diners. However, coming to this Coco’s location has changed my mind. From seating, to service to food i give great ratings. I really loved the attention of our waitress. She was efficient, caring and overall experiece was pleasant. Whenever i eat out for breakfast i am usually accompanying my disabled father. The one flaw in design of this restaurant is that the entrance is located next to the street so disabled persons have quite a ways to walk to get to the front. I already had forgotten her name but our waitress was attentive that she opened the back door for my father to have easy access to leave the restaurant. She also placed us in a convienant location for him to access the bathroom as well. As far as the food i was impressed by quantity, quality and freshness of my experience there. It was perfect because the portion was just right. It was the first time I didnt have to take home food. If youre looking for a quick breakfast experience in the Lemon Grove Area i would recommend Coco’s. Just be warned for all Seniors, or disabled persons the entrance is on the street front.

My friends and I love this restaurant, especially when Vicky is our server. she is always on top of what we need and very friendly. The sad part is that when we went in today is that she could not serve us because she was sent home early and to be honest the manager wasn’t very nice to her she was pushing her out… only let her work 3 hours come on??? We go there cause we like her service and we are a group of 9.

Pie is usually the only reason I go to Cocos. So many have closed, when we saw this one we were surprised & decided to grab dinner(and pie). We asked for water, had to wait & flag down our waitress for refills. Had to flag down the waitress again to get a beverage refill, she refilled it with the wrong drink. Took awhile for our food to come & my boyfriend burger arrived barely warm. Had to once again flag down a waitress to more napkins. Overall, not a good dining experience. Staff is friendly, but not attentive at all. The saving grace was that the pie was good. Definitely wont return for a meal.

Coco’s is usually just a solid 3 stars(I’ve had better, I’ve had worse) but I’ve always had a good experience at this location! The eggs Benedict is good(wish it was on an English muffin instead of brioche) and the boyfriend always enjoys his French toast. BUT what really bumps this location up a star is this awesome waiter! I forget his name, but he works weekend mornings and he is the best! Super fast, super friendly and always has a smile on his face. I will continue to be a regular at this Coco’s!

I’ve been coming to this location with my husband J for a long time on a regular basis. He’s there more often than I am these days, but he still gives it a thumbs up as well. We both really enjoy when we get the kind of service that this place provides — they know you by name, by order, by shenanigans. It’s a very comfortable routine to have. Our server Kevin continues to be amazing. He knows what he’s doing and is professional, but knows how to be that right blend of friendly as well. Shoutout also to Lupita, Ivan, Zaria, and the rest of the crew who have also done a great job. We rarely have to wait, the refills come out as they should, and it’s a chill way to spend breakfast.

I came in this morning with my two friends. We had quick service by a great server name Kevin. Two of my friends got food seasonal item for the month, which was peaches. One got a combo French toast of peaches and the other friend switched pancakes to a Belgian waffle with peaches. I got the country steak(2 pieces) and it was all really good. Service was great, Kevin took really good care of us. Usually I hesitate to come to Cocos because the service usually leaves me with disappointment. But with great service, I’m more likely to come back now. Thanks for the great service, Kevin!

I celebrated my grandmother’s 82nd birthday here on Cinco de Mayo! At first, our initial server was MIA when it came time to get our orders and such. But, I realized it was because he was changing shifts. He probably could of mentioned it instead of having us sit there wondering if he really was going to «be right back» or not. Our new server, though I can’t remember her name, was great! Our order came out right, it didn’t take long at all. We were a party of 6, our food came out all together and still hot! Plus the food was delicious, I was really surprised because I normally just order their pies to go. She gave us 2 baskets of bread while we waited for our meal, and even replenished it after she gave us our meals. She also cleared our table as we went along and provided us with dessert plates, and a pie spatula to serve the birthday cake we had for Grandma. All in all, as long as she enjoyed herself, I was happy. Food was good, service was good, ambiance was good. Can’t ask for much more than that.

Used to be my go to breakfast place until this one time I ordered a breakfast meal as soon as I got my plate and was ready to eat I saw a hair longer than mine so I let the waiter now and she went ahead and apologized and brought me a new plate. She felt so bad she even gave me a slice of pie for free which made up for the hair in my plate. However, I went back for dinner 2 weeks later and I got food poisoning from a chicken salad. I will never bring my family or myself to any coco’s ever again!!! Such horrible experiences! (Their peach green tea is the best though. Probably the only reason I’ll be going back)
