Colony Veterinary Hospital now offers in-​hospital laboratory diagnostics for same-​day results. We are also fully equipped to address your pets dental and general health care needs. Dr. Vineyard received her doctorate from Western University of Health Sciences. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Vineyard received bachelor degrees in Zoology and Animal Science from Michigan State University. Originally from Michigan, Dr. Vineyard left the Midwest and moved to San Diego to pursue her career in Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Vineyard is a member of the American and California Veterinary Medical Associations as well as one of very few Certified Veterinary Acupuncturists practicing in the San Diego area. She has interests in surgery, internal medicine, integrative medicine, pain management and acupuncture. Dr. Vineyard is a caring veterinarian whose warmth, intelligence, and patience have earned her the trust and admiration of her clients. She treats each pet as though they were her own and goes the extra mile to make sure that a visit to Colony Veterinary Hospital is a positive experience for both owners and their pets.

When I came in at my 8:30 appt. arriving at 8:29 I was seen by the receptionist. She was OK. Not friendly, not mean, just ok… I was brought to the room right away however after 5 – 10 min w/​the assistant I had to wait over 30 min for the doctor to show up. (Have to say the assistant seemed pretty nice. You can tell she loved cats) Doctor also seemed very nice & thorough (however never took my cats temperature) but said she would get me on a plan to see why my cats drinking a lot. Said the plan would be something we can work out that nothing had to be done right now. Just get some tests done first. After telling her that my husband just had foot surgery & working on a 1 income salary (using my visa for food & gas) I am really strapped at this moment. I let her know I get free visits from this place every month in the mail but I always throw them out as I didn’t think I needed it. So when I got the bill for the test & the exam I was blown away!!! JUST FOR THE TESTS & EXAM??? I thought they would of AT LEAST helped me with the exam fee as they know they send out there coupons EVERY MONTH!!! Then I would of done the rest even though I still thought it was WAY to much money to spend when I’m totally strapped for cash. I left in tears when I got to my car. I am soooo sad that people just want to take advantage of people in my situation! I will definitely not be going back! Total RIP OFF. But I guess that’s La Jolla for ya!

Dr. Vineyard is one of the best vets in San Diego! She is very knowledgable and has a lot of passion for pets. She makes sure to spend a TON of quality time with each of her patients and answers all the questions I have. I never feel rushed or pushed to buy unnecessary treatments for my pets.

Unfortunately my dog visits this vet a lot for numerous reasons. Dr. Vineyard is knowledgable, friendly and always takes her time when discussing my dogs health. The staff is always accommodating and the office is clean. I would highly recommended Dr. Vineyard for your loved ones because she has been nothing but amazing with mine.

They’ve been Daemon’s vet for 2 years now. From checkups to surgeries, been the best vet I’ve ever had. It’s worth the 15mile drive here.

I brought my dog, Zoey, here to get spayed. Prior to her appointment, I heard that this Vet overcharges and quoted the cost under what the actual cost would be. This turned out to be completely false. Dr. Vineyard and her staff were WONDERFUL. Before I left, they gave me a price estimate for all that Zoey would need, including vaccines and blood work she would be having done. My out the door cost was only a few dollars off of the estimate. Zoey responded very well to Dr. Vineyard during her exam, and Dr Vineyard made me feel as though she truly cared about my dog. Her staff was wonderful, and called me the day after her surgery to check on Zoey. The staff took the time to answer all of my questions, and were very knowledgeable.

Excellent vet clinic — my little beagle pitt gets into her fair share of trouble regularly and after paying top dollar at a clinic in PB for subpar service, stumbled upon Colony while walking my dog through the park next to their office. Pricing is very fair here, for the work they do [excellent].

I love this office. I have a 19 year old cat that was not responding to any food, water and very lethargic. Since this office is so close to my house, I literally was at my wits end and just came to them in hopes that they would take a look at my Katie. It was my hope that they would not simply brush her off as «well she is 19» or the opposite of let’s do every procedure and I walk out with still a 19 year old sick cat with a high vet bill.
My cat Katie is my family as I am away from my family back in Florida so that is why I may go a bit over the top for her. Dr. V and her staff were beyond amazing with Katie and she is back to her self (snuggling with me). I owe this team a great amount of gratitude for placing the same importance on my Katie that I have for her.
No question or doubt about it — this team knows what it is to be at the top in class! Don’t hesitate to bring your precious fur babies to this wonderful team.

I am beyond words to describe Dr. Vineyard and her staff — they are so welcoming, efficient, and really do go above and beyond for their patients. Dr. Vineyard helped every step of the way with my kitty when he ingested a plastic linear object that was about 2 feet long. She walked me through the next steps and offered help and support!
I was able to call and give her updates on his condition — then getting her expert advice and again so much support. I am happy to report that her advice lead us in the right direction and our kitty safely passed the object!
I would highly recommend Dr. Vineyard and her practice to anyone looking for a vet.

Full service vet. My dog is happy when we go to this vet. In the past my dog would try to run away once he go a whiff of my prior vets in Northern California and the last in in Cathedral City. Teeth Cleaning /​exam with X-​rays. My former vet did a good job at cleaning but missed an abscess tooth. How much pain did the dog endure? Currently my pet is getting acupuncture. Nice to have a full services at one location.

Dr. Vineyard is so sweet with our puppies. My dogs are pretty well socialized and used to strangers, but she took the time to gain their trust before approaching them. I’ve had some issues with my little one’s anal glands… Dr. Vineyard listened to everything I’ve tried and explained the treatment before doing it. Dr. Vineyard genuinely wants to do what is right for my dogs and doesn’t charge for procedures unnecessarily. (which is a huge problem among vets). Being in the military, we’ve moved around a lot and been to many different animal hospitals, and I must say that Dr. Vineyard is a gem!!!
All around, this is a great Vet Hospital! So far, I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes. It’s clean. The staff is VERY friendly. The prices here are very affordable which is an excellent plus :)

We just started going to Dr. Vineyard with our new puppy. We have been really happy so far! Dr. Vineyard is very informative and takes plenty of time to answer my questions and doesn’t seem rushed or impatient, even though I have a million questions on every visit. She doesn’t seem to rush to recommend procedures, medications, tests, etc. that are not necessary so I trust that she’s not just saying my puppy needs something to make a buck.
Her staff is also really friendly and helpful, and they are always running on time. Also, bonus package — they gave my puppy’s fuzzy butt a shave and clipped her nails for free since I was getting some shots and other things done.
We hope that we only have to see the vet for routine procedures, but the experience has been so great thus far that we (or at least me, the one not getting shots) would highly recommend her to any pet owner!

We’ve been bringing our pets to Colony for quite some time and have always been very happy with their service.
While the new vet that has purchased the business from the sisters is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, the cost of services is far greater.
Just be sure you know of the costs involved ahead of time (before bringing your pet to the clinic).

Dr. Vineyard was the utmost professional and showed great compassion for us and our cat, Bailey. Dealing with one of the most difficult decisions we’ve had to make, Dr. Vineyard thoroughly discussed our options and when we decided to say our goodbyes, the staff was extremely kind. I am very happy to have Dr. Vineyard as my new vet. She was amazing during one of the saddest moments in my life with the passing of my sweet dog Daisy. Not only was she very professional but she also was so kind and caring. She also sent me the sweetest card afterwards. My family will definitely be coming back with our newest addition very soon.

The Dr’s Stadtmore sold their practice to Dr. Sarah Vineyard who is very personable and proactive about the health of my two dogs. She has a new administrative team and has begun to renovate the office waiting area. Her rates are very reasonable and there is not any up-​selling pressure. I find the change to be very refreshing with great service both to the pets and their guardians.

I used Colony Vet Clinic for the first time a couple days ago and could not be happier with the experience.
The doctors are very knowledgeable. I have a 1 yo boxer, we came in for an eye infection, and they went above to give me the heads up on everything I could ever want to know about her health and what to look out for.
They had my records from my old vet before I left the appt, they even called me the day after to make sure I was able to get the eye drops into her eyes without an issue and generally checking on how her status was. Very impressed.

The Stadtmore sisters are the two Vets and they are great. You can tell they both love animals very much and take great care of my boys.
Whenever my two cats are here and they start hissing, the doc will always tell them to watch their «language». LOL
They have a small, two room office with room in back for small surgeries and other animals. The shopping complex they are in sucks for parking but usually you can find a spot on the curb right in front of their door.
I love this place and highly recommend them to anyone with pets.

Good people. Our cat went in for a dental procedure recently, which requires general anesthesia. The vet was wonderful, very professional but also very caring. They called to tell us when he woke up, they stayed open an extra 15 minutes when I was delayed getting out of work to pick him up, they called when we got home to let us knw that they had overcharged us, and they called again the following morning, just to see how he was doing.
They clearly care about your animal’s welfare and we feel lucky to have found them.
