Got referred here by a friend since I had been audited in the past and this was my first time using them. My overall impression is that if you have complicated tax returns to file and you are looking for a conservative accountant… this is your place. If you have simple returns, this is a waste of money. Because they are so conservative (at least the guy we worked with), he didn’t have any questions for us regarding write-​offs. We met with him, he took our information and we left. All in all, the appointment was under fifteen minutes. In the past, I was given a questionnaire asking how much I spent in certain areas (home office, work cell phone, additional work expenses, mileage on car, etc.) so that when I went to the appointment we filled out the paperwork together. This guy not only did not have any paperwork but he didn’t even ask any of those questions when we got in front of them. Again maybe this isn’t their style to help you with additional write offs, but if I wanted to just hand over all my documents and have you file… I could have done it at H&R block. I’m giving three stars cause the guy was nice and he did respond after we researched the internet and found our own write-​offs and submitted them to him. Also gave an extra star since I may have communicated to my friend that I was looking for someone to be knowledgeable in an audit situation. I thought I should post a review on their conservative approach. I don’t like to be too risky with my taxes as I have been audited but I do think there are legit things that I can write off regarding children, work, and home improvements. Will not be using again. sorry.
