Kim Rubi was awesome, she fixed an old tattoo that had been worked on by two other artists. Two sessions with her, and I’m finally happy with it! Can’t wait to go back to her to add more.

My artist was Kim she did an awesome drawing making it one of a kind and taking the time needed much love for daygo ink and cuts! They helped with deciding how I wanted it and making extra time on off days when I needed it!

Tam started on my tattoo more than 3 years ago while he was working at another tattoo shop. To say the least, my last session was 2 years ago and I finally set up my final appointment to finish today. His new shop is very nice with a barbershop in the front and a divided tattoo parlor in the back.
There’s a TV, and music to keep your mind off the needles and his artistic ability is top-​notch. I’ve seen the other artists artwork too and they are highly skilled.
The front of the shop is the barbershop with multiple barber chairs and a lounging area with couches and another TV so your friends that came to the shop with you can wait comfortably.
I will definitely be back for my next piece.

Hands down the best tattoo shop! Tam will definitly take your idea and make it into reality. Good vibes for sure! This is the best spot for piercings, cuts, and ink so look no further.

Living in Mira Mesa, you would think that you have access to a lot of stuff, not necessary. Tattoo and piercings being one of it, which means we have to travel far to find a good tattoo artist and piercer. However, Jay made me feel at ease and less nervous. My piercing went smoothly, I’m definitely coming back for my future piercings and tattoos.

I’m one of new customers Chist is the BEST barber unique and understand I want my hair to be cut. For tattoos Tam is good Artist with special hand and talent I saw many people come back again and again welcome to neighbors hood.

If you’re not familiar with the business, there is a barber shop in the front and a tattoo parlor in the back (there’s a mullet joke in there somewhere…)
This review is strictly for the barber shop portion of their business, as I have not had any ink done here (yet!).
I had been growing out my hair for a few months, after shaving my head bald, and it didn’t look good at all. I usually go to a barber in Normal Heights area, which is pretty far from Mira Mesa, where I live. So, after hearing some good things about Daygo from a friend of mine, I decided to come in at around 2pm on a Tuesday.
There was no wait (It WAS, after all, a Tuesday afternoon), and Jess, the only barber in the shop at the time, was very friendly, inviting me to take a seat at her chair. She didn’t once assume I wanted any part of my cut a certain way, which I appreciated. Jess was also very outgoing and made the experience exceptionally comfortable, especially for someone whose hair she had never cut. I was very happy with the cut I received (long comb over cut with a hard part on the right side and thinned a bit through the top).
One note, however– They only accept cash, so, if you can avoid doing so, DO NOT use their atm. I was charged 5 dollars just for withdrawing from it ($ 2.50 from the machine at the time, and $ 2.50 later from my bank– ugh).
All in all, the cut cost 35 dollars with tip, which I was happy to pay, after the attention to detail and level of service from Jess.

Uggg temptation moved right next to where I work haha. Got my tragus pierced right away after I clocked out ! Comfortable environment, great prices, clean, and very professional! Jay did an amazing job! Quick, painless, and very informative. :D

Got my nostril pierced by Jay and he was awesome! Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Definitely going back for some ink and more piercings!

Having my first tattoo done couple days ago with D and it was amazing. Really have to say thank you to D for her wonderful word. She redraw and custom the tattoo for me exactly like what i expected. Will definitely come back again to get another tattoo.

Let me start by saying, Tam is the man! I’ve always wanted to get some big Japanese work done, but I would always wuss out from it. Every artist I’ve come close to doing work with, I would just change my mind and felt that I’d be better off without a tattoo. When I finally decided to grab my balls and man the f up, I found Tam’s shop. I told him exactly what I wanted and to come up with a custom piece for me. I was anxious because I set my appointment up 3 weeks ago and since he’s a busy guy, he said he’ll have my sketch ready on the day of my appointment. I came a little worried thinking I’m gonna get tatted up on the same day that I don’t know what the work is gonna look like, but as soon as I walked in, my jaw dropped in awe! His preview of the work was waaaay more creative than what I came up with. He even added some extra details along the way to spice up the look. I’m very pleased with Tam’s work and I recommend anybody to get your tattoos done by him. Him and the other artists there have this swag that you can’t compare to any other tattoo shop in San Diego! If you’re looking for top shelf quality work, definitely choose this place!
The atmosphere is super chill and inviting! You’ve got some dope ass barbers in the front and the artists have their own area in the back. They do everything they can to make you feel at home and they also play some good tunes while you kick back and get your tattoo done. If you’re looking to set up an appointment with great quality and affordable pricing, hit these guys up ASAP. They’re about to blow up here in SD since they’re gonna launch their own reality TV show and already have celebrities lined up to get tatted by them. Hurry before it becomes impossible to book! ¹¹⁄₁₀ rating on this place!

It’s been more than 2 months since I last set foot in this wonderful place, and I still think about how good the guys treat their customers.
I have a tough time finding a barber that I trust; finding a barber that will provide me a fresh cut that will help me feel confident and at-​ease with how I present myself to others. Macho, the barber, went above and beyond my expectations.
He left me feeling like a million bucks with a cut that was both professional, and stylish. You could tell he knew his stuff because he was talking about length, fade, shadows, color, and all sorts of barber jargon and explained each term to me carefully. He walked me through the process and I walked away as an educated consumer, too! He also threw in a few perks and overhauled my facial hair out of kindness and understanding.
These guys know that at the end of the day, it’s about making sure the customer feels comfortable in their own skin, and making a strong first impression that will lead to a valuable relationship.
If you’re looking for talented, knowledgeable barbers, look no further than this place. They also know their animé, international travel, and they’re just fun to shoot the shit with.

I definitely recommend coming here for a tattoo or haircut. The tattoo artist Tam and Kim are very professional and you can tell they are both passion for their artwork. The barbers Macho and Jessi are very patience and precision is amazing. The shop is very clean and comfortable. Everyone here is very friendly!
Come get a piecing by Jay! Very professional and knowledgable about piercings. He explains the process and made me feel very comfortable.

My son has been going to Macho for almost a year and absolutely loves his work! My 11 years refuses to let anyone else touch his hair.
We always get designs in his hair and have people always comment on Machos work. He even has an Xbox for the kids to use while you wait which is a big plus. Highly recommended barbershop.

My girl and I just got our tats done with Kim. We were looking for an artist who specialized in Asian style tattoos and we found her. I’m happy with the results. I’m going back for my second session in 2 weeks. My girl already made plans for another piece.
Kim is a great tattoo artist and we will definitely be back to get more done. She’s chill and nice. I definitely recommend seeing her if you want a great tattoo!

I definitely want to thank Kim for the work she did on me today! Ok so I’ve been wanting a tiger for awhile now, but I’m sort of a perfectionist and I need things to happen exactly the way I want it. I was looking through Unilocal comparing different tattoo shops and I came across this one «Daygo Ink & Cuts».
TATTOO: All of their tattoos looked so clean and bright. Compared to other shops that look somewhat faded. Even though this place is a new shop that opened about 2 months ago, they’re pretty good at what they do. I told my artist (Kim) what I wanted which was a simple tiger on my forearm and I gave her a reference picture. She worked with the picture as well as enhanced my vision. She made it look exactly how I wanted it, but BETTER!
CUSTOMER SERVICE: they work with what you want and they make sure you love it. They were really nice to me and other customers as well as my friends that came in with me. They offered us beverages and gum, not saying my breath stank. Hopefully not. Lol.
EMPLOYEES: both of the tattoo artists (Kim & tam) were so funny and both easy to talk to! Not only is the place good at tattoos but they do fresh ass cuts too! They’re highly ambitious and motivated with what they do. They want to start their own reality tv show. You’d be lucky to be getting either a tattoo or cut from them. Once they go famous, you’ll regret not getting one from them!
I’m not sure what else to say about them. If I were to get another tattoo it would be with them & I do recommend them for high quality/​good looking tattoos!

Macho gave me hands down the best haircut of my life and I get my haircut once a week for a living. This spots only been open a few weeks and macho is a super genuine good dude with a start up business. Don’t be scared away by the prices it’s worth every damn penny. Macho us truly a master in his field.

My sister and I absolutely love our tattoos! We just drove by Daygo Ink & Cuts and they happened to be open before their grand opening this Sunday… so glad we did. Tam was professional, chill, and not intimidating at all. He’s from SD, so it felt really good helping out a local joint.
I don’t usually Unilocal unless I am extremely disappointed or immensely satisfied; glad it was the latter this time around. I definitely recommend Daygo Ink and Cuts!
