DDM Tuning

I bought HIDS from here on my old vehicle when they used to be called Apexcone. They had great service and quality then, and they still do now as DDM.
I had lifetime warranty back then, and nearly 10 years later, they honored it when one of my bulbs went out (I had the original box and receipt, so make sure you keep those!). They’re very helpful, knowledgeable with great customer service. They have a wide assortment of lighting options for your car.

Terrible customer service, bulbs took too long to arrive since, surprise, they’re shipped from China. Bulb colors were all messed up.

DDM’s new Ultra Canbus HID system works flawlessly on all of my european cars with no error codes with impressive and safe light output. If you go with 4300k it will look factory. Excellent job guys.

Small little shop that only opens on the weekdays. I’ve only bought HIDs from them and they have really good prices for the kits. When you buy the KIT, it comes with lifetime warranty on it, so this makes it a good deal! One of my bulbs started getting dim after 3 years and I brought it back for a free replacement. Kits were cheap enough for me to put HIDs on my fog lights too!
The guys working here are always friendly and nice. Never had any issues here. Only wish they opened on weekends as it’s a bit harder to make it here on the weekday with a fulltime job.

The guy who helped us was very nice and social. He came out to our car to check what needed to be replaced. They ran out of our kit, but told us we can buy one now and come back within the next week to do an exchange since we needed replacements asap. We ended up liking what we bought and felt no need to do an exchange. Good customer service!

I’ve purchased HID kits, LED foglights, LED accessory lights, all products work great and are offered at a competitive price. I have not had any product not work. One HID kit a couple years back flickered a bit. I brought it in and they replaced the ballast free of charge under the warranty. Recently there was a mix up with LED foglight bulb size (car manufacture’s mistake) and their customer service handled the situation perfectly and took care of me.

I went to DDM for halogen replacements with LED’s. Jimmy helped me out. The guy should run the place. He went out of his way to pinpoint an issue I had. He solved it and made my day! They have an incredible selection of LED lighting. Prices are fair. They seem to only carry name brand like Samsung and most importantly have product knowledge. I went to their Clairemont location.

Great place, customer service is USUALLY good. Some employees arent so good with that, but luckily those employees dont stick around too long. Quality HID’s and LED lights for a fair price and a good warranty. Call if you plan on coming late, their hours fluctuate frequently and you might find yourself in front of a locked door.
I’ve purchased an Ultra 5200k 35watt HID kit and various misc. LED bulbs. I’ve also referred multiple friends to this location.

Pretty small location, but a good selection. The staff is very honest and pretty helpful. There is only two guys that I saw so you might have a little bit of a wait but it is worth it. Carlos is great if you want just ask for him he is very knowledgeable and helpful.

If you ever wanna step it up on your headlight game then this is the place for you. Been recommended this place by a lot of my peers so I gave it a try. I been using their h.i.d. kits since 10′ and never had a problem. Ever since I’ve only had to change my headlights and fog lights once and exchanged only once ballast. They have a life time warranty on their ballast so all you need to do is bring it in and have them check if it works or not and you’re good to go. I think a pair of ballasts and lights go for $ 20 or less which isn’t a bad deal and their products last a good while. Also, the store carries a good variety/​selection of led bulbs.

I wish I would have known this place was 10 mins from my house before I ordered my HID’s drop shipped from China. The dealership of course gave me the wrong part number. These guys exchanged em’ for the correct ones with no questions asked. Thanks guys.

Chris and Gus were able to troubleshoot my ballast and and HID bulbs. Really helpful guys. Make sure to be patient as they get busy with customers at the store as well as through the phone. Thanks guys

I ordered a pair of 35 watt 5k hid kit for my mercedes benz. I received it 18 days later even though i paid for 5 – 7 business days delivery. No apologies made from any member.
I Installed it and Did not work properly. It kept flickering. Contacted support for exchange and they said i needed error free kit (sales upgrade). I said i needed 55watt hid instead, not error free kit.
Still no resolution. Bad service over all. Do not buy here!

Only Chula Vista location open Saturday. Need to update. I drove all they way to kerny mesa and they were closed. Just a heads up.

Its been over a year and the lights still work very well. When I got them I ordered a 5000k 35w for the low beam and a 6000k 55w for high beam. I have moved them 2x to another car and then back to the first car. I was concerned that the handling might affect them but does not look like it.
I’m thinking about getting another set for my other vehicle. Next time though I will make them both 6000k. I like the very slight bluish tint on the light. I must say that the 55w is quite bright. The 35w is just right for low beam.

I always come here to get my LEDs or HIDs or w. e lighting. The staff it friendly and helpful. If you have questions or w. e, just ask them, they’ll help you out to the best of their knowledge. Everything is pretty cheap, $ 30 for a HID kit? That’s a steal right there. Lifetime warranty? I think I see the light! Is this heaven? Naw, it’s DDM Tuning.

Got a great deal on some HID’s for my new accord. I’ve had them for about 3 weeks and so far so good. Quality is great and installation was a breeze. If you are unsure of how to install them just go on YouTube and search for your car and the keywords «hid install». There are countless videos that show you how to properly do it. Some cars are easier than others. I was also able to pick up some LED lights for my dome light, trunk, and rear license plate. I will def be back here again and refer my friends.

This place has turned around under new management. Seriously their customer service is awesome.
Need to be open on Saturday for that extra star.

From hearing all the negative feedback but appreciating the performance of their HIDs, I gave these guys a try but I did it in person, not via email or mail order delivery.
I was intrigued by the performance to price ratio of their HIDs but was wary of the customer service or lack, thereof. To my advantage, I lived locally and had the luxury to visit them directly. If anything went wrong, I can always drive back.
Located in the heart of Kearny Mesa’s business district in a non-​descript building (you won’t find this place without the address or map) without a large flashy sign or billboard.
Once inside, I saw two members of their staff, both were working the phones. One of the friendly staffers got off her phone and assisted in my purchase of a set of 5000k 33w HIDs for @ $ 35. To my benefit, these lights have a lifetime warranty and I can bring any defective part back for a free replacement. Just be sure you have them enter all your info into their system in case of a future issue.
All in all, it was a good purchase experience. The folks here are helpful and friendly. I’d recommend them to anyone looking to purchase their products directly and in person.
Just make sure you keep your receipts and invoices.
