Debbie fronted as very knowledgeable on some difficult tax matters. She proposed a solution to my tax problems that sounded very good to me. She also did her level best to make my current accountant sound like a bumbling idiot by picking apart his draft version of my return. I thought to myself, wow! I have really been missing out. Miss Haverly knows her subject matter and can fix my mess. Lo and behold it was too good to be true. A day before my filing is due she tells me that in fact she is wrong and my current accountant is right. Please get your facts straight Miss Haverly before criticizing the work of other accountants and proposing solutions that turn out to be based in myth.

Ms. Haverly must be doing very well as she is no longer taking any business. Her staff, however, leaves much to be desired. When I explained that I probably only needed an hour consult and could wait a month, they told me fine, call back in a month. A more professional response would have been to take my information and for them to call me back to schedule an appointment.

I always get my taxes and consultations done here. I’ve worked with both Debra and Hunter. Both have always been very good to me and my family. Taxes were a breeze with Debra again! I had a fairly complicated FY2014. Tax time is never fun for me, and I appreciate all she does. Getting everything you need together can sometimes be a hassle, but not with the portfolio you put together this year, Debra. You made it super easy for me, and I appreciate that.
Debra is knowledgeable and can answer your complicated tax scenarios easily. And if she doesn’t know, she’ll find out and steer you in the right direction.

DEBRA HAVERLY ALLOWED MY MOST PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION TO BE EXPOSED. PLEASE DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU.
Additionally, when I identified the issue to her, she made absolutely no effort to take action to correct the problem with me. She just mentioned that it’s her vendor’s fault and wanted to know if we wanted to continue. No offer to pay for monitoring; no effort to change the systemic security issues: outrageous!!!
As a cyber-​security conscious person, I cannot recommend her at all. Who should you trust more than the CPA who handles your most detailed financial information? If I could give this service zero stars, I would.

knowledgeable and professional CPA. If you’re in need of a great accountant then look no further. One of Debbie’s specialties is dealing with entities that have foreign assets, which many CPA“a try to avoid due to the complexity and risks associated. Debbie and her team can handle these complex filings and they even provide this service to other accountants who would rather not delve in to this area! She has a cozy office in Mission Valley and will meet with prospective clients for up to one hour at no charge. What more could you ask for? I never underestimate the value of «The CPA». Was so lucky to have found Debra and Hunter to assist me in my tax preparations. I was overwhelmed with the details of tax preparation for a small business, and had waited too long to get organized. Although I had initially contacted another local company, I was frustrated by the other company’s confusion as to my appointment time, name, and many other details, even prior to me walking in the door!
As a generally intelligent person, I foolishly thought that I could wade through the moat and mud of tax law and prepare them myself. Debra’s fees were fair and her demeanor is pleasant and knowledgeable.
