Department of Child Support Services

My payroll department sent my December payment along with my January payment in the end of December. Since they received my payment Walt the «system» would not recognize it as a January payment… result a suspended license and I drive a company vehicle… result headache and embarrassment and luckily not fired. In June my outstanding payment history for unknown reasons was flagged and sent to California fish and game for my fishing license to be suspended. After several very rude conversations and multiple referrals back to their web page I took the day off work, lost the wages and went into their office. 20 bucks in parking and I found my way up to my case manager. She was on vacation and received minimal information. A second trip down, more lost wages and I was told «I don’t know why that happened» and obtained a letter clearing my suspension but noted that I would be responsible for any fees acquiring that may be involved in license reactivation… on the 16^th of October I received a notice of non payment dated the 3^rd. When I called to clarify I got now help, was spoken over and eventually hung up on when I asked my year to date payment history.
Needless to say my ex was ordered 5 years ago to seek employment and has never obtained a job in that time and child support service does not care to take action on that court order. The court refused to impute minimum wage to this able person and accepted her income as zero yet granted her the ability to claim our child on tax forms. I have 47 percent custody of my child and am constantly treated like I abandoned him. All in all an absolutely horrible place.

As Grandparent who has supported grandchildren since birth and help my daughter raise them. The staff is very rude and inconsiderate. Their father has paid no support. Basically because I am Grandma I was rudely told to sit down since I am not a part of the case. Well buddy if it wasn’t for grandma my grandson’s wouldn’t have jack with welfare.6 yrs to catch up with this guy. what made me even more mad I am a taxpayer I am paying this guy to sit over there and be rude and disrespectful and throw his authority around with the Sheriff downstairs. Anyone who has to go to Room 5003 beware!!! Next time the county employee issue come to a county vote they wont get this Grandma’s vote. you cant go around and treat parents, Grandparents or anyone that way. in the private sector as Donald Would Say «You’re Fired»…

This place is a scam in every way possible. They deserve no stars at all. They will take and take and take from you and when they owe you its always a problem that they can’t fix.

Rude, lazy, arrogant. I have been trying to get support for 11 months now.
I was told that they could not find his mother after I gave them her address.
I told them I drop my son off there and pick him up there; I was told I was lying.
I was also told I could not get support as my son’s mother remarried and changed her name.
Wow! just have as many children as you like and get remarried! Than you pay nothing; according to them.
Do not expect help. I am trying my congress woman’s office instead.

You receive a notice of the time you are to be there and the date. You could sit for hours with no indication of when you may be helped and the whole time people that had arrived long after you are being called up.
They are rude, aggressive and borderline abusive. They also try to use their governmental position to intimidate you so you’ll concede to their demands. They want you to believe that they have the power to decide your fate and to see a judge is just a formality.
Don’t let the name fool you, they have no interest in your child, but only in themselves and how much money they can collect. That is their sole job and if they don’t collect money, they are no longer needed.
The rudest, most evil, cruelest and egotistical group of freeloaders I have ever seen.
The good news, I called their bluff, and I pay nothing due to the fact that I have custody. That didn’t matter to them, they still wanted money but failed to secure an order. Unfortunately, not all the dads are getting treated fairly or even know their rights.
