Wow!!! I’ll start off by saying this is my first experience with DHL express. I ordered a life proof phone case from China with express shipping and DHL express is apparently the carrier that is used. My experience: Susan, an amazing customer service representative answered the phone after two rings… Ups and Fedex… I’m typically on hold for about 15 minutes during the holidays upwards of 40… DHL Express… Susan rapidly looked up my tracking number and stated that delivery was for today by 5pm. I mentioned not being home until 320 and asked if I could pick it up tomorrow if I was not home… She went out of her way o call the driver to leave details and said they would make an effort to accommodate my schedule… Whhhaaaat??? Ups and Fedex… once my phone call is answered after a torturous 20 minute wait and my shipment hasn’t arrived for the second day straight after promises of it being there by end of the night and me waiting up until 11 and not sleeping for work… or it was put into my neighbors yard after multiple notes that were supposed to have been left in their system that the delivery went to the wrong place… Or delivery drivers lying about attempts made which weren’t because I was staring out of my window the ENTIRE day with zero notice of a delivery attempt being left anywhere around the property a manager will be notified I will eventually be called back typically not within the half hour promised(the managers at least try if you have the patience of an hour long phone call)… And I am fuming… DHL express you are AMAZING and need to take over the entire US package delivery industry!!!

It’s so sad to know that customer service is no longer a priority today. You would think that a corporation as large as DHL wood instill customer service as a core value. There was one customer ahead of me that was obviously knew the clerk as they were gossiping. As I waited, I could tell that the clerk, a Hispanic lady with glasses, was irritated by the fact that she would have to stop chatting with her friend to help me. When she did help me, she was very short, not a single smile, and answered my questions with just one word… yes or no. I asked for a receipt and she says I don’t get one but she can make me a copy of the shipping label which she did grudgingly. She hands me the copy without a word. No thank you no nothing. I left with an awkward silence behind me. I know a lot could be misread by this review but the poor service was glaringly obvious to me. By the way DHL… maybe there’s something to be said when your rating is so poor for this location.

I love DHL! I use them frequently to ship or receive items from somewhere. The only draw back is that’s located in the hood near market street. And apparently is the only location in san diego.
