Established in 2006.

Myron Cabrera grew up in Chicago, Illinois and had always held an expansive imagination. When he moved from his small town that laid within Chicago’s dull suburbs to the beautiful vivacious San Diego, he decided to put his imagination to work. At first he started working for other painting contractors and picking up skills and learning the business inside and out. In 2006, he went off on his own and created what is now Don’t Blink Painting. He has dedicated nine years and counting to making the painting experience for the residents of San Diego a smoother more satisfying process.

Myron Cabrera started Don’t Blink Painting right out of his home in Pacific Beach. He had worked with other painting companies prior to starting his own and decided it was time a painting contractor arose that had professionalism, customer service, and detail down to a science. He went off on his own and business started booming. He eventually moved to the University City area and continues to do spectacular painting/​contracting jobs for all of San Diego.

We can’t say enough good things about Myron and his crew. We engaged Don’t Blink Painting for what we thought was a simple job. .. walls, ceiling and trim in an 1100 square foot condo. What we didn’t appreciate was that the flat wall texture made getting a smooth unblemished finish on the wall nearly impossible. The crew is incredibly skilled and efficient, working so well as a team that they finished the job early. Myron, though, wasn’t fully satisfied with the texture and wouldn’t accept payment until he was fully satisfied with the job. He returned to personally paint the accent walls until they met his standards. We’ve never wanted to hug a contractor before, but Myron’s attention to detail and his meticulous standards (including cleaning up when he was done) were the best we’ve ever seen.

Our 75-​year old plaster ceiling had seen better days and was cracked in numerous places. Knowing that this was not a project that we wanted to tackle, we hired Don’t Blink Painting. The crew resurfaced and painted the ceiling and now it looks as good as new!

If I could give Myron and his guys at Dont Blink Painting 50 stars I would. I’ve used them several times during my full house remodel. They are beyond amazing and exceptional. Their work is stellar; total perfectionists. That in and of itself is saying a lot because I am really particular and picky… and I’ve never been anything but 100% satisfied with the job they do. But in addition to their top-​notch work, they also happen to be super nice guys! Totally responsible, trustworthy, punctual, dedicated, etc etc.
This happens to be my first-​ever Unilocal review. I felt utterly compelled to sign up for Unilocal just to write this. Comparing their work to the multitude of horrible experiences I’ve had with so many other contractors during this remodel, makes me appreciate Myron and Dont Blink Painting even more. If you use them, you will not be disappointed!!!

Although not the most inexpensive, Don’t Blink offers a high end quality service. They were able to deal, within the company, of many complications that arose. Our house is 90 years old, which brings about complications in itself. There were several different textures used over the decades, and Myron allowed me to choose a texture of my choice and apply evenly throughout. They were able to mediate water damage from a flood, drying the area, walls, etc. They were skilled enough to install baseboards. Myron is a man who will have a wall repainted if he spots a blemish. I have used Don’t Blink for other household services and they have never failed to deliver.

Myron and his team were absolutely fantastic! Professional, courteous, clean, and the attention to detail was just amazing. Myron was there for us through the whole painting process and provided suggestions along the way. He was more than willing to work around some delays created by other craftsmen on our house. His bid was very reasonable as well as some of the extras that needed to be handled.
I can’t say enough about the customer service extended to us and through out the completion of the paint job. Our house looks like it belongs in a magazine thanks to the quality job performed by Myron and his crew. If I had 10 houses, I would want Myron to handle each and every one. Thanks again Myron and team!

I had Myron along with his painter Miguel to paint all the walls in my garage. They did a spectacular job, and within just 3 hours total! I am very happy with their work and would definitely use them again for any other paint job I may need. Highly recommended.

I used Myron to paint the exterior of a rental property recently. I was very impressed at his professionalism and attention to detail. His price was reasonable for the work that needed to ge done and the house looks great. We discovered some damage to the eaves caused by a roof leak and he helped us find a roofer who was able coordinate his work with the painters. He is resonsive and a really nice guy to work with. We will use him again. My husband who is extremely fussy about paint work was very happy and that says it all.

I am so glad I called «Don’t Blink Painting!» They do fantastic work. They removed wallpaper and retextured the walls and ceiling of a bathroom, then painted the walls and vanity. They do extremely careful, professional work. My Dad used to do professional painting, so I know what a great paint job looks like. They are the best! I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again.

«Don’t Blink Painting» does absolutely great work! This is the second time I’ve used them. They removed popcorn ceilings from three bedrooms as well as re-​texturing the same ceilings and painting them. They are extremely professional and are very punctual. They did not try to «up-​sell» and spent a great deal of upfront time making sure our expectations and theirs were in alignment! Their pricing is very reasonable and I would heartily recommend them to anyone! wanting professional, quality work done. I would use them again in a second!
