History

Established in 1998.

Doug Simon Architecture (DSA) has been providing design services to private clientele and industry professionals for over 15 years. Receiving his formal design education in California, New York and Europe, Doug Simon also gained decades of hands-​on experience in well respected architectural firms across the globe.

In 1998 DSA was founded on the idea that new technology had enabled the architectural office to become streamlined, making it more efficient, accessible and personal.

Since that time, DSA has produced a wide range successful projects, satisfied clientele and continues to enjoy the expanding and exciting field of design.

Business Owner

Doug Simon has lived in San Diego since 1968. He began his college studies at San Diego Mesa College before transferring to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1982 to study architecture. After spending his final year of study in Florence, Italy he moved to Vienna, Austria where he lived and worked doing architectural and urban design for most of the following decade. In the course of those ten years Douglas received his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Cal Poly, a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in New York and his Professional Architect’s License. In 1996 he decided to settle in Southern California, working in architects’ offices in the Los Angeles and San Diego area.
