Our Tae Kwon Do class develops coordination between the mind, body and spirit. The martial arts drills and learning activities in this class integrate aerobic conditioning and resistance training with concentration drills. As students move up in rank they begin to learn grappling and Krav Maga. The end result is a well rounded martial artist who will be able to handle themselves in any situation
Kickboxing is a form of martial arts that combines boxing with elements of karate, in particular kicking with bare feet. It is a physical and mental discipline which includes use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins. Practitioners develop good physical health and become very efficient full contact fighters.
Krav Maga is a self-defense system developed for the military in Israel that consists of a wide combination of techniques sourced from Aikido, Boxing, Judo and wrestling along with realistic fight training. Krav Maga is known for its focus on real-world situations and its extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks. Krav Maga was ideal for short term training while delivering maximum results.

Master Sam Forsythe has been passionate about martial arts since he was a kid. Master Forsythe trained under Grand Master Larry Spears in the Korean martial art Tae Kwon Do. While his foundation is in Tae Kwon Do, he has also studied Hopkido, and Krav Maga. After years of studying traditional martial arts, he saw the need to simplify techniques so that they would be useful to the untrained fighter. Master Forsythe’s Simple Self Defense program is different from his regular Tae Kwon Do class and does it favor one particular style over the other. The class is a blend of techniques from multiple styles that focus on using instinctual gross motor movements to defend oneself. Master Forsythe uses his collective martial arts experience, work experience as a behavior therapist, and his degree in Psychology and Sociology to deliver a comprehensive approach at self defense.
